An awkward laugh escaped Gunner against his will. "That obvious, huh?"[break][break]

After all, he had just confessed his feelings to Summer Atreides during their week-long vacation in Lilycove City. He hadn't intended to do it, but she'd been so sweet to him that he couldn't help it.[break][break]

Gunner had not mentioned her name for privacy's sake — he was very particular about not sharing his personal life, except that he and Cian were doing just that. So he relented, just this once.[break][break]

But first, their second round of beers arrived. He took a sip, enjoying the bold taste of the stout, before providing Cian an answer. "Her name's Summer. Yeah, our names rhyme," he added with a grin.[break][break]

He had no reason to give the other man her surname. In fact, Gunner doubted Cian knew the CEO of Prescott Industries, and that information was irrelevant, anyway.

Right. Cian had mentioned his brother to Gunner before, and that he was still a member of Team Rocket.[break][break]

Lowering his voice as well, Gunner asked, "Can you tell me more about your brother? What's his name, and what does he do for them?"[break][break]

The HBIC's database would have some information, but only at the surface level, especially if the other Maher was an average citizen. Gunner would need all the information Cian could give him to properly formulate a plan.

Not that he minded the idea of locking up every member of Team Rocket in the region. But that would probably put a strain on League resources, and they were already strained enough as it was.[break][break]
