annalise has only really been to her university's library in recent memory. it shouldn't be too hard for Greyson Connors to get a library card here if its a residents-only type of thing, though.

his question comes in on a tide of nostalgia. it reminds her of visiting his gym over the summer and telling him suicune is her favorite legendary, of the mystique of meeting an illusionary version of it. now that she's experienced real legendary pokemon for herself, the answer feels different on her tongue.

"i don't know if i really want to meet any of them, to be honest."

most of her encounters have been tied to horrible situations. even her impression of the pokemon he's looking for is tainted by memories of them hunting mint frost . still, she can see the value in having them allied to the league. that's why she's here, helping him look.

"i guess ... maybe one of the small ones? i saw a couple of them and they were cute." she says after a beat, deciding to reach for a more optimistic-sounding answer.

"i'm okay," she promises. it's a topic that's been discussed to death with her therapist already. she's able to let go of it easier these days, evident in the way she happily scoops up the shaymin to dote on her. [break][break]
"so, did you get gracidea seeds from speed dating?" she asks, eyes narrowing with amusement at the thought. "DEREK HOFFMAN told me that's where he got his from. i heard that's how you find these guys — by growing the seeds somewhere."[break][break]

annalise wrinkles her nose as Greyson Connors reads the book's title to her. her disbelief floats between the slats in the shelving: "that's in the nonfiction section?"[break][break]
she shakes her head and continues skimming her side of the shelf. by the time she meets him at the end of the aisle, she's holding a few books tucked under her arm. with pleading eyes, she wordlessly motions for him to either take the books or the shaymin.

"yep! found a few things, actually! though ... i'm not one hundred percent sure if they're related to those dogs. wolves? whatever they are."

she tips her head in the direction of the study area. a nice, quiet space for them to parse all this information.
