Makoto scowled at the sight of Spot - the lucario was going to be trouble, especially given that they didn't have too many answers for steel-types.

As if to prove this, an Aura Sphere came flying out - striking Tsume in the back. The zoroark would be sent tumbling forward with a snarl of pain, dropping Makoto - who was sent tumbling as well - in the process. Getting up, he fires a glare at the fast-approaching Chester and Spot, and once more lets loose a Night Daze at the dodrio.

Makoto, realizing that running likely wasn't an option anymore, would meanwhile let loose another pokemon - Tsukiko the alolan ninetales. "Aurora Veil!"

Throwing back her head, the fox howled - using snowfall from her Snow Warning to produce a veil of shimmering lights, to bolster the team's defenses.

As the veil fell over the battlefield though, Makoto pushed themself up onto their feet - staring at Julia. "It'll be much easier for the both of us, if you'd leave us alone." They spoke in warning - plenty willing to just let things go if she simply decided to turn tail and leave.

Makoto frowned at the fire-type hitting the field; that one might be a bit troublesome. But, if they could get it off the field, then they could better deal with the Lucario.

The Flamethrower would strike Tsukiko on the shoulder - drawing a yelp as the ninetales stumbled. But, it was like the brunt of the flames were deflected by the strange aurora lights that hung over Makoto's side of the field; it was sure to pose trouble in dealing any significant damage...

"Taunt, Dazzling Gleam." Makoto called.

Tsume would glance to Spot as he attempted to power himself - and grinning widely, he'd bark out more than just a few crude remarks at the lucario. As if that wasn't enough, he'd even make a few rude gestures, including flashing the fighting-type a middle finger - or perhaps more accurately, a middle claw!

Even Tsukiko seemed caught off-guard by the words the zoroark had to offer - did he really need to say that about Spot's father, or his trainer?!

But, not about to waste time worrying over Tsume's choice of words, Tsukiko would instead place herself between Momo and Spot both. Once in place, the glow that wreathed her intensied into a blinding flash of light - without any warning - to strike both enemeis at once!

Tsume, safe to say, wasn't having a good day. Why was it that half the time he got into a conflict, these trainers had to have some form of fighting type?! Even if Spot's ability to power up had been hindered, there was still the fact that he had powered up beforehand - which meant that the inevitable Aura Sphere that came Tsume's way hurt. The zoroark moved as if to try and brace himself - but was distracted by the sudden need to yawn, brought on by Momo.

With his guard interrupted, Tsume would end up being sent flying back by the strike - and it took but a glance, for Makoto to know that he had been KO'd. Quietly, they'd curse as they recalled the dark-type fox - but they already knew what their next choice would be, as they sent out Nobusuma the Crobat. "Supersonic!"

Nobu wasted no time in obeying - and swooping low, he'd let out a sonic shriek in Spot's direction, in an attempt to confuse him!

Tsukiko, meanwhile, wasn't about to fix what wasn't broken - and with no one to attack her, she'd happily let loose another Dazzling Gleam, to further wear down Julia's team!

With the lucario confused, a troublesome member of the enemy party was hopefully on the ropes now. Makoto's hope would be that the rest of the ranger's team consisted of pokemon less battle-readied, much like the dodrio seemed to be.

However, that didn't account for the fact that the simisear was troublesome in its own way!

As a Rock Tomb went flying, Nobusuma would be struck by the raining rocks, letting out a startled shriek of pain. He flapped his wings at a rapid buzz to get out from under the boulders - but it was clear that the strike had dazed him a little, even with the Aurora Veil's protection. But, that wouldn't stop him from retaliating.

"Air Slash."

At Makoto's call, Nobusuma would let loose a flurry of cuts through the wind, in Spot's direction - hoping to finish off the lucario while he was still confused.

And even if the Air Slash failed to hit, well, Tsukiko was content to continue with Dazzling Gleam, since the combatants had yet to (successfully) stop her. Hee Hoo!

A soft lullaby filled the air - and as Tsukiko listened, the fox would find her eyes growing heavy... and heavier... The little ninetales would sway a little, visibly unsteady... All up until she simply collaped on the spot - fast asleep. Though she seemed to have enough the mind to actually shift into a proper sleeping position, it still looks plainly awkward - how is that comfortable?

Meanwhile, motes of flame were sent flying, dancing in Nobusuma's direction. However, even if the crobat was large, he was also quite swift in the air - darting away, just barely managing to avoid the licking flames that chased at him.

"Cross Poison."

And it did not take long for a retaliation; at Makoto's direction, the claws of Nobusuma's wings began to drip with poison - and with a flick of his wings, Nobu would send out an x-shaped slash of poison in Momo's direction!

The Electric Terrain would be met with furrowed brows from Makoto - and initially, they were prepared to prevent Julia from doing any setting up. "Defog!"

However, even as the crobat already began flapping his wings in preparation to get rid of the electricity that hummed across the field now, Lazuli would end up throwing a wrench in the works.

Rays of lights and discordant sounds filled the air - and this was something that would prove to be much harder for Nobusuma to avoid, than motes of flame. Even as he attempted to bob away from the lights, the sounds were disorienting against his sensitive ears; though he flapped his wings as hard as he could to stay upright, Nobu would soon be sent crashing into the earth instead with an alarmed shriek!

Makoto cursed at this - and pulling out a pokeball, they would recall Nobusuma. Though he was hurting, his abilities could still prove useful - even if not for finishing the fight, then for a quick getaway.

Which in his place, out came Haguru the Klinklang - the steel-type floating ominously near the still-sleeping Tsukiko. How would Julia react to this switch-up..?
