Kouji had gotten deafened, a loud noise that threatened to burst his eardrums, his hand went for his ear, and he found himself being kicked; years of instincts caused him to roll back onto his feet; his balance offset. His ears were off, this was a pain. ”Heh, I wonder who looks more like the villain here. Let’s see how much dirtier you can get.” He said as he went forward, hitting a girl wasn’t an issue for him as he dug his foot into the dirt, and kicked it up, before following that movement with a kick. He turned on his left foot, pushed against the ground, and whipped his right leg while turning his waist, a snap kick aimed for her knee.

Things were different for the Shiftry that had been allowed time on his own, drawing in the sunlight, he felt the growth empower him, his muscles burst with strength, growing bigger and bigger, the energies within itself grew, but that left Drapion on its own.

Where it was rushed by the Raging Bull attack, a powerful wave-like strike that struck against him, he was forced to take the second attack, being forced back into the rocky outcroppings and then…He struck, a cross poison, a favored move of his, one of the few it knew.

"The only villain here is you. Don't worry, im sure you back story is SUPER tragic." she replies back as she was distracted by the conversation. The "dirt" gets in her face and she immediately tries to wipe it off.[break][break]

She manages to get it off in time to see the kick to her knees coming and uses the hilt of her sword to try and absorb most of the blow, he still knocks her off balance and she uses her hands to push her upwards with the low gravity assisting her with getting distance between him and her. [break][break]

This guy was so fucking annoying. [break][break]

She lands on a nearby platform and stands on her, realizing he bruised her knee a bit. Damn, no matter, her plan was ready to go. The cross poison lands on Tauros and manages to get a POISON infliction on her tauros. "Chatot!" she shouts as she grabs a tera orb from her back pocket and recalls her tauros, tossing the orb at her chatot as it begins to shimmer with a bright white light and becomes a PURE NORMAL TYPE [break][break]

"Now that I lured you away from them. CHATOT! BUST THEIR EAR DRUMS" she shouts as chatot takes in a deep breath, the power of terrastalization coursing through him he unleashes a POWERFUL BOOM BURST

Kouji had been happy enough to land the hit, but like a failed predator he failed to pounce the moment his prey had gotten hurt. Instead, they were separated, the strange level of gravity in this place was causing more trouble than it was helping. ”Shit.” It was a powerful burst that struck the entire battlefield.

While his pokemon were tougher than him, it was a soundwave, even as fast as Shiftry was to protect him, it didn’t make a difference, it passed through the both of them; his ears felt the pain; his ability to hear disappeared behind the pain that he was in, the pain that he felt, and the ringing motion.

”Alright, alright. I see how we’re playing this.” He said as he stood up, one hand gripping his bleeding ear, he put a hand on the shoulder of his Shiftry, he was sure neither could hear and then he pointed at the bird, just as his pokemon raised the leaf-fan like hands of it, and whipped it against the air as a pink glow took over them.

”Shit, shit, shit. The hell’s wrong with you? This shit hurts.” Even if no-one could hear his complaints, he just couldn’t wait for the moment he got his hearing back.

"Imagine what my mantine felt." she retorts as he asks what the hell was wrong with her. She was insane, it was a requirement for any league official. They weren't afraid to do what they thought was necessary. [break][break]

Her own ears were bleeding slightly, but where Kouji was upset she was grinning as she had experience dealing with this kind of stuff. "Ready for round two?!" she says as melody pulls out her phone and turns on her metronome from her phone. "Chatot! 100 BPM 3/4ths!" as she set him up to work on autopilot. [break][break]

She leaps forward, the sword ready to slash as his hands, she wanted to limit his hands so he couldn't send out more pokemon and keep him preoccupied. The chatot rushes in preparing to fire off a boomburst, if his pokemon reacted quickly enough they could stop him. The taurous's body was suddenly ravaged by the psychic energy as he was starting to be lifted into the air.

Which was a problem; his hand was extended, but losing a mere hand was fine as he took on his knife in the other; his balance was shot, his ears hurt, but he was used to being in pain; it was a standard for his younger self, there wasn’t a day he wasn’t covered in bruises or cuts; this was just another normal day for him.

He found the blood gush from his left arm which he extended outwards as if to get the knife stuck in it; he gritted his teeth until his back teeth cracked, until they broke, until blood started to stream from his gums before he slid his foot forward and pushed with that same arm…

If he didn’t get this checked soon, it’d be the end for him.

He’d have to count on Meowscarada after this battle.

But for now, he didn’t let that thought stop him from stabbing his knife forward; he was ready to take her out if needed, she was nuts.

Wait, what the hell? ”Ain’t that fucking cheating?” He said as a third pokemon came to join in the mess from before, his Shiftry ended up taking the Sacred Sword directly just as it had been hit; the attack had forced it back, and it was a strong hit that forced him to crash backwards; blood leaking from his shoulder; but that was…

Shiftry forced itself upwards, its eyes fixed onto Cobalion, that was a threat, and so it aimed Extrasensory at it, the move it was using already, shooting it at the pokemon in front of it. But Kouji knew, could feel it; that pokemon was on a different level, a different league. He wasn’t aware of the many legends that occupied this world.

”Absol, you’re up.” He said as he threw out his Pokeball, to join in this disastrous fight, he’d get his partner to join in, the one he trusted the most out of all of his pokemon.

Cobalion stares down the group of enemy pokemon, sizing them up as Chatot lands on Cobalion's heiny. He stares it down and looks at the taurous who was admittedly worn out for the most part. Melody knows what Cobalion wants her to do, she pulls out his pokeball and recalls it into the safety of it's capsule. [break][break]

He sends out an absol and He stares the creature down and draws his sword again. "This is what you get for fucking with me!" she says as she leaps over towards Cobalion, intending to mount the pokemon herself. Chatot sqwuaks, flying into the air and using tail wind again to speed up her team As cobalion attempts to use THUNDER WAVE on shiftry

Kouji looked at the pokemon across from him; Cobalion was strong, and so he looked down at his own knife before he leapt towards Absol, standing in the middle of his pokemon. ”I love fighting, why wouldn’t I fight fair? Nothing beats a great fight…Not that you’d know about having a good fight?” He said as he landed down softly; his hand went for his knife.

The mega stone in it sparkled for a moment. ”Let’s do it boy.” He said as he held it out, and that was the moment that it mega evolved, a white light took over as it began to move in front of the Shiftry, his form finally revealed.

It’s fur had grown into a shape resembling wings, a second smaller horn grew from the side of his head, the fringe covered even more of his face, and his eyes were fixed onto Cobalion as the Magic Bounce shot back the thunderwave which dissipated harmlessly off the legendary. Absol growled, a low sound but it showed Kouji just wanted it wanted. ”You want him huh? He’s all yours boy.” He said as he looked onto the other two pokemon of his.

Drapion looked exhausted, and Shiftry didn’t look much better but. ”Split.” That was the singular command he gave to his pokemon as the leapt onto their targets of choice, Shiftry had decided to go for the Chattot, Drapion had gone for Cobalion just as Absol had, but the horned pokemon had seen the other Dark Type, and crashed into him with a Night Slash, knocking him out instantly as the critical hit struck in that singular moment, a powerful strike it hadn't been expecting.

It was a simple matter of pride.

She finally had something she could agree, fights were fun. But his definition of fights were more twisted and sick. [break][break]

They were for life and death, it was for violence, melody was in it for the strategy and back and forth.. "You're definition of a fight is sick." she says as the thunderwave was bounced right back at him. However Cobalion saw it coming towards him and he prepares himself for it, the paralyzing glare colliding with his body but he resists it. [break][break]

The absol's mega evolve was going to be a problem...if they could just hold out.. [break][break]

Wait huh? absol knocked out his own pokemon..? They landed and stood back. "What was that?" she asks him wondering if he'd humor her. Was absol bullying the others into line? What a horrid way. It was rare to ever say that someone couldn't earn melody's gym badge...but if there was a case it was here. "Cobalion! Bar! Iago! Use taunt on shiftry!" she orders as pieces of the earth rupture and float around cobalion as he launches a barrage of STONE EDGES towards the Absol. [break][break]

Chatot flies in circles above the group shouting SHIFTRY'S name in a mocking tone to place him under a TAUNT

Kouji looked at his Absol as he drew Drapion back into his pokeball, an annoyed expression n his face…No not just annoyed, anger. ”The fuck absol? We were out gunned?” He shouted in return, but his pokemon didn’t even look at him as it faced the stone edge; his horn began to grow purple as it swung it; sending out a psycho cut that cut through the jagged stones that shot towards it, yet; a single one had hit him in the underbelly, shooting him up in the air.

He didn’t let that faze him as he adjusted his position in the sky, his eyes fixed onto Cobalion who he saw as a “rival”, or rather, something to test himself against, something well beyond his limits, beyond his reach.

But that was for now, his horn began to glow again, a deep dark black; ready to charge down with it for a clash of swords, a battle of willpower.

Shiftry’s battle was not as epic as such, his extra moves had been sealed out, and the sun would be coming to an end soon, it would come to be slower against a pokemon that held an advantage against it. Even if it had set up prior, that was fine, it looked at the Chatot, and used Extrasensory against it, his leaves began to glow a deep purple before it began to grow a hot pink as he waved it into the air.

"Just as nasty as you it seems." she comments as Cobalion looks up at it and tosses Melody off of him. [break][break]

She reacts in time to prevent herself from colliding with the floor. That Absol was a wicked creature, it was truly nasty and evil, Cobalion didn't want Melody to get caught up in an attack cause of him so he drew his sword and met it head on, their swords standing still in a stalemate. "What?!" She says surprise that the Absol was able to measure up to such power...mega evolution. She didn't have one on her currently. [break][break]

However the purple light gets absorbed into Cobalion's own blade making it grow larger as it's JUSTIFIED activates. [break][break]

Meanwhile chatot sqwuaks wildly, asking for assistance as Melody watchs him "Chatot stay calm! Parting shot!" she says as Chatot squawks even louder at the chatot and hurls insults at the shiftry and escapes it's clutche as he's suddenly swapped out and the dondozo takes it's place as he eyes the shiftry who was now holding him and waited for it to put him down.

Parting Shot had been a great blow for Shiftry, but under the sunlight which had just faded into nothingness, taunted as it had been; it found its boost in speed disappearing, a tiredness washing over him that he tried to fight off. But even so, he still had a small boost left behind. But seeing the Dondozo, Shiftry’s more callous nature began to bleed through, looking at the pokemon that stood in the sky, well above him.

It refused to let go.

”Don’t think I’ve been rejected as harshly as this before, but do you know why Dark Types are Dark Types? Cos they’re honest with themselves, the good, the bad, the ugly. They’re way better than us humans will ever be, and Absol stands at the top of all of them. He knows himself…Even if I wish he didn’t.”

That was Kouji’s thought on it, and Absol took that in mind as it soared down towards Cobalion, his purple horn turned a bright bright pink, it soared into the Cobalion who had been strengthened with its own Dark thoughts. Justified, an ability Absol knew well, and turned away from towards its ability to find the weakest point.

The weakest point of a creature, for he who stood at the top of that route, in that tallest of grasses where the birds tried to reign supreme, Absol had sought for the sky while its feet were firmly rooted into the ground. That was why, he didn’t care about being right about another creature’s mindset, it only cared about being right about where it’s weakest point stood, and now it aimed for the crook of its crown.

So he fired off his psycho cut.

Melody frowned at him, it was an ugly description for them. [break][break]

"Yeah yeah use whatever you want to justify it you crazy person. You're probably projecting." she frowns at him as Cobalion prepares to tank the psycho cut. This pokemon was no fucking joke, with it's mega evolution enhancing it's attacks it was going toe to toe with her pokemon. Magic bounce had cut out her using status moves and at this point Melody was running out of options. "Alright. Fine. You forced my hand. I'm ending this." she says as suddenly energy begins to swirl around Cobalion [break][break]

"We're ending this once and for all. Get ready for your CURTAIN CALL." as little lights began to gather around cobalion's horn , the psycho cut comes in colliding against Cobalion but his iron will stands resolute as he charges up his z-move, refusing to let this jerk Pokémon. Eventually cobalion's sword expands to a massive size and the two move in sync to bring the sword down on the terrain on ABSOL.
