Dahlia's simple and to-the-point answer soothed Josh's nerves, the Gym Leader suddenly calm as the aftermath of a ruthless thunderstorm. "No, Commissioner - I thought there was just more to it, that was all." The League's top politician may have been able to notice a pang of disappointment. While it was a relatively minor role compared to AQUA proper, it was an important one nonetheless, and perhaps more fitting for his skillset focused on high speed. As swift as many legendary Pokémon were, they were far from unbeatable.

"Just one more, and it's probably one you can't share with me even if you know the answer." If, in the unlikely event Dahlia had played Josh's RONDEZ-VIEW OF LUV route, she may have known exactly where he was going with that inquiry ahead of time. "It's been radio silence from Raikou, both in visions and in reality, for quite some time now. Do you or others you know have any leads on him? Again, if it's a clearance issue, I understand."

Regardless of the answer, Josh would stand up, push his chair in, and wave to Hoenn's fair and just leader. "Thank you for indulging me. It's clear now that with the diversity of opinions within the League, how I handle the Eris fallout from here will be a decision I ultimately have to make myself. I hope that the next time we meet, it will be in less serious circumstances." With that, he and his electric feline would make his way out of the office, closing the door behind him with a gentle click.

A slow shake of the Commissioner's head meets Josh's inquiry.[break][break]

"i do not have a personal connection to raikou, josh." The Pokemon world is a vast, limitless place; even a political figure head finds herself lost in it as one of the very many. "all i have heard is that johto's raikou is missing after team rocket's failed invasion. that is all i know."[break][break]

Josh leaves with his Zeraora, and the Commissioner stays with her endless work.
