You advance northeastward into a dimly lit room, the sound of whirling water echoing from all four of its corners as you cross a rickety-looking bridge to its center. Four Dragalge surface from the water and hiss at you, opening their mouths and heaving toward you like one would vomit. No TOXIC attacks exit their bodies; it seems something is suppressing their deadly venom. How fortunate for you; if the dragon-type's poison could eat through the bottoms of ships, it could easily dissolve your skin![break][break]

The four poison Pokémon submerge once again, leaving you to wander as you please. A translucent, yellow glyph hangs in the southern passageway. Upon further inspection, it seems it will not impede your progress. A bright light obscures your vision east; you suspect the eastern exit leads outdoors.[break][break]

You advance eastward, the sound of rushing water becoming more faint. You find yourself outdoors, overlooking a secluded cliff near the summit of Meteor Falls. There is a purple, circular glyph on the ground, brightly glowing and obscuring a hidden cave leading downward and presumably back into the temple. On the far end, underneath a Haban tree whose fruits are not yet ripe, appears to be a small chest lid. It is embedded in the rock and covered with a dim, yellow glyph. It does not impede you at all. Unable to satiate your curiosity, you open the lid. With a creak, you see a purple gemstone within. Purple dragon energy radiates outward from it.[break][break]

You obtain a DRAGON GEM! When thrown, this amethyst will explode into a sphere of dragonfire, dealing heavy dragon-type damage to all nearby enemies. Gone after one use.[break][break]

Shalin steps away from you to look at the purple glyph. She walks over it, and it more than supports her weight. It makes a faint jingling sound with every step she takes over it. "Do you think... do you think it's the altars?" Shalin asks you idly, trying to piece together the intricacies of the Shark's Maw befitting the intelligence of the dragons that made their home there.
