He cackled as he lifted her higher, a mischievous and borderline malevolent beam upon his lips as he waded continuously through the water. Though hindered faintly by the occasional flashes of vague grimaces and disdain that bled through, the smile he’d donned only remained consistent as she scrambled to find further and stable purchase against his form. Almost as if baiting her into a false sense of security and otherwise, alike, he moved as though winding up to genuinely toss her aside.[break][break]

…Only to slow and wind back down as they neared the poolside.[break]

He lifted her a final time— though rather than the waters, she would find herself seated upon the surfaces of the boat surrounding them before long. His hands left her form promptly after, instead propping against the poolside on either side of her as he leaned forward slightly, eying her with an ongoing touch of spiteful amusement all the while.[break][break]

”Don’t do what, eh?” he hummed, grinning at her.

Summer could only climb the man so much. She was practically at the top of his head at that point. And still, he had a way to lift her up and threaten to throw her into the water.[break][break]

So she braced for impact, her body and muscles tightening. She waited for him to pick her up and her body to soar through the air...[break][break]

Only for her to feel Cain rest her on the edge of the pool. Opening her eyes and slowly relaxing, a red hue tinted her cheeks. "What are you... huh?" She was completely and truly dumbfounded.[break][break]

Shaking her head, Summer pulled her legs from the pool, walking to the chair. "I need a break..."
