Jasmine and Magnus were at impasse. While he gave her orders to take over, his word was the ultimate law. But, it seemed that wasn't going to leave the cave unless she came too.[break][break]

However, there was no way of knowing what the GREAT TUSK would do if they didn't finish it off. It lived in rocky terrain. Surely a cave collapse wouldn't do anything against it besides weaken it for a moment.[break][break]

"Wisteria..." she murmured, almost sadly.[break][break]

The dragon understood. With a DRAGON RUSH, it charged toward Magnus and the LUCARIO, forcing them past the entrance of the cave. However, it didn't tackle them, leaving them unscathed.[break][break]

She turned the dragon, commanding her forward. "Again. This time, for real."[break][break]

And Wisteria attacked, this time tackling the beast to the ground with gnarling teeth. Jasmine looked toward Magnus, urging him to go while he had the chance.[break][break]

The top began to fall.[break][break]

When she opened her eyes, Wisteria's wings were above her head, and they were out of the cave. In the midst of the chaos, it seemed the dragon had found an opening and taken off into the sky.[break][break]

Jasmine slowly clambered off, her legs shaking as she ruffled her dragon's feathers.[break][break]

But then she called out. "Jack. Magnus!"

Time slows down entirely. Magnus is thrown from a DRAGON RUSH with Jojo, the duo thrown towards the entrance. But Magnus isn't leaving, not for a second. His eyes are focused, deadly so. The top is close to falling. She's going to make it, she's going to make it. His heart clamors in his chest, and he growls with fury at the Great Tusk.[break][break]

And then the top falls. And Magnus is nowhere to be seen. Jojo either. The rubble of the cave crumbles over all...[break][break]

Magnus had woken up an hour later. Coughing. There was rubble atop of him, his body covered in rubble from the cave-in, but Jo-Jo began to throw rocks off. There's blood from his side, but manageable. A bad gash. It wouldn't stop him, not at his size.[break][break]

"Fuck... dammit... GET... OFF!" He has no time to think about that. Jo-Jo helps him to his feet, and the two look at the cave-in. And his golden eyes look forward.[break][break]

He's no idiot. That's a cave-in. The chances... of...[break][break]

Jo-Jo has to lead him out. Magnus clinching at his side, as he finds the opening where the cave was. His face contorts between pain, and suffering. But as soon as they are at the mouth of the cave... Magnus collapses to his knees.[break][break]

"Jazz..." He can't scream... so instead?[break][break]

Jo-Jo charges up one big ass AURA SPHERE, and tosses it up like a flare. An ode to someone who wasn't here anymore... or so he thought.

Jasmine heard no answer. She cursed under her breath, an uneasy growing in the pit of her stomach as she stumbled. She heard Wisteria growl at her, as if the dragon was warning her to take it slow.[break][break]

"We have to find them. He probably thinks we're dead. Shit. What if he didn't get out?"[break][break]

She fought the tears that were beginning to well in her eyes, instead starting a trek around the area.[break][break]

No sign of Magnus or JoJo.[break][break]

It was growing more and more feeble. Wisteria had a pitiful look on its face, as if it wanted to tell its trainer it was probably over. It was time to go. But Jasmine only grew more frantic as the time passed.[break][break]

Until a sign came, and she would praise any god above for it. "Wisteria. That way. Quickly!"[break][break]

She mounted her dragon, and they flew with an impressive speed toward the spot the AURA SPHERE came from. As they descended, she spotted them.[break][break]

They were alive.[break][break]

Jasmine didn't speak. She couldn't speak, as she almost fell off her dragon to dart toward Magnus. Any tears she had held back before were leaving dirty trails down her face from the dust and dirt of the fight, but she didn't give a fuck.[break][break]

Right now, she only wanted one thing. One person. Jack Magnus.

It's when he sees her in the sky, that his heart restores itself, Jo-Jo yelling out with a noise. The moment Wisteria is on the ground again, Jasmine would find her way to the ground, soon after into his arms. And he would pull her into a hug.[break][break]

His face is exhausted, as he runs a hand through her brown locks. She was dirty, dusty, and Wisteria had saved her life.[break][break]

... even with their beef. He smiles. Finally falling onto his ass with her, now on the ground...[break][break]

Jo-Jo decided to wrangle Wisteria away. Give them a moment.[break][break]

"Thought you were a goner." He breaks the silence. But he laces a kiss to her head. No way no how.

The moment she met him, Magnus's arms engulfed her in a familiar, strong warmth that made her realize that she was safe now. With her head against his chest, she could hear his heart beating, a familiar drum, and she cried.[break][break]

Not out of fear or the terror that they had just almost lost each other. For the sheer joy that he was alive.[break][break]

"I'm sorry. I didn't want to put myself in that position. But..." After he pressed a kiss to her hair, she looked up.[break][break]

"You're so important to the gang, Magnus. They can't lose you," Jasmine explained softly. It was a harsh reality that he was not going to like.

His chest beats hard enough... man forgets he's bleeding from his side. Stray slice from a stalagtite, and he's gotten a gash. But it doesn't phase him at all. He just... stares.[break][break]

It's an admission. Part of the pain of being a leader, is that you lead, and realize quickly that without you, it all falls apart. Kingdoms aren't kingdoms without the king. And... a pack leader can be named but.[break][break]

Over all that, though, is the truth of the matter. "I can't go losing you either though." He brushes a hand on her face. He tilts her head up. And he kisses.[break][break]
