Out across troubled waters, a ship will soon pass. By all outside appearance, it’s just another shipping freighter. Were that it was just that. Intel trickled down from the top: inside the containers are Pokemon. Lots of them. Illegally bought, sold, and now being transported into Hoenn. Navy doesn’t know if it’s a Rocket outfit. People always forget that in wartime, there are still neutral parties.[break][break]
The woman who was his wife in another where, another when, cares. It is her greatest strength and her deepest weakness. She cared for him madly once. She loved the children they had together. He loved her just as madly. Now, it’s like looking at her ghost. He mourns her while she yet lives.[break][break]
…no, that’s not fair to her. This Melody, in the here and now, is a different person. A friend. Someone whose ideals align with his own. Those Pokemon cry out across the water for someone to save them. Navy may not be a sword of justice, but he knows this: for there to be justice in the world, mankind must make it for themselves.[break][break]
“I see the ship up ahead.” He calls out from on Tanwyn’s back. “I’ll swoop down from high, you hit ‘em from the sea. That’s the plan, right?” Nothing’s quite as fun as confirming your attack plan moments before you put it into action.

Quaquaval (Ugly duckling) -male- Moxie/ Aqua Step, Air Cutter, Brick Break, acrobatics, roost, ice spinner.

"Sounds good to me." she says as Melody was an expert in battling in the water. Growing up in Lilycove's city and her father teaching her to sail do that to her. "You know, in every other instance it should be me who is making the game plan" she says crossing her arms and pouting at him. [break][break]

However she didn't protest it that hard because it was going to be the same exact idea she had as she knew he'd probably be better in the air compared to her. Melody dives into the water from the platform, saluting Navy before she plunges into the water as a red light shines in the water and she jettisons off holding onto her pokemon. [break][break]

As navy attacks from above, a blob of water rushes out from the ocean as she lands onto the deck and flourish's her song and she clicks on her phone to play her cool entrance music. "Hey guys, mind if I go for a little dip?" she asks as she scans the cages, it was all aquatic pokemon so they'd be fine based on her actions. [break][break]

"Duckling! Let's dive!" she says as she jumps off the boat into the water, the pirates clamor after her as they send some pokemon after her before Michael Navidson can intervene. [break][break]

She swims quickly towards the propellor of the ship and gives her order to immobilize it "Aqua cutter!" she says as Quaquaval dashes by the blade, slicing it in two and cutting the legs off of their ship. However some sharpedo in the water look on at her and prepare to lunge at her as quaquaval comes back and fires an air cutter towards them.

Tanwyn is a beautiful creature. Her green skin and fluttering wings harbor within them the gentle heart of a mother. She has watched over the Navidson boys since they were young. It was her rider’s battle to keep them fed. She saw him endure with grace. It won him her undying respect. Hovering, she closes her eyes for but a lone moment, lost in the flow of time, as Navy caresses her neck.[break][break]
“Been too long since we worked together, girl.” His voice is gentle. It’s only right to treat the Pokemon carrying you into battle well. “Let’s dive. Gotta get Galahad and Fenrir on deck.”[break][break]
Dragon and rider turn into a green blur. Tanwyn’s wing beats are a maddening crescendo, unfathomed force carrying her along waves of air down to the battlefield. People need their help. Though her charge has grown to harbor the heart of a raging dragon, this is a fight she can see through. Her eyes are laser focused on the deck.[break][break]
She whips up seconds before skidding against a metal container. Flashes of red signal Galahad’s entrance onto the battlefield. The Sirfetch’d rides atop the wolf, tearing open crates to search for Pokemon. Men turn their attention heavensward. Leveling guns, they prepare to fire.[break][break]
Behind them appears an apparition clad in green. Ralsei raises a wing, levels a bow, and unleashes spectral chains before their guns can fire. With most of his team out, Navy urges Tanwyn back up. The two scan, looking for Melody, finding Sharpedo mean to attack the star of his life.[break][break]
“C’mon, let’s go get my girl.” Her dragon claw raises in answer to the order, glowing dark energy gathering along its edge. Diving to the edge of the water, she unleashes a harsh slash on the Sharpedo. The Pokemon will survive their injuries. Tanwyn is a master of disarming rather than killing. The world has enough needless death.

The Sharpedo's blinding speed dodges the underwater air slashes with ease as the pokemon was known for it's agility and Melody gets prepared to activate her sygnasuit as a defense measure but suddenly a green knife slices through the waves. [break][break]

Michael Navidson's dragon claw splits the sea, the sharpedo was left helpless as it couldn't move in the air without water as it's instantly knocked out from the vicious dragon's attack. [break][break]

Melody gives navy a thumbs up as she cheers him on "Nice! Thanks!" she exclaims as he managed to take some of the pressure off of her in more ways than one. Her face turns red and she turns away from him as her Quaquaval rushes over to her side and grabs her as they dance an AQUA STEP together and unleash several blasts of water on the underside of the ship. The ship begins to creak as the metal hull is exposed and the shit begins to sink. [break][break]

The men on top clammor as they don't really know what to do "Navy we need to get those pokemon out of the cages before the ship goes down entirely!" she says, despite the fact they'd all survive as they were aquatic pokemon, it would give the pirates to come back and try and reclaim their loot. [break][break]

"We need to get them home before reinforcements arrive!" she says as Melody releases a second pokemon to start helping an Inteleon jettisons out of the water pointing both of his fingers towards the locks on the cages "Snipe shot!" she orders as a powerful jet of water fires on the locks in the cages and breaks some of them before the lizard slinks back into the water.

“You heard the lady, Galahad! Get ‘em open!” Galahad is a good, dutiful knight. With sharpened leek in hand, he rides against the pirates. Cutting through them to get to his destination, his blade finds purchase against locked iron cages. Pokemon chirp and go free into the water. They would scatter to the winds, were it not for Galahad.[break][break]
In the language of Pokemon, he explains that two humans are here to help them. They must rally around the beautiful queen of the sea. Looking at one another, they nod. Diving, they gather around Melody. Others rise up and begin to dogpile the Pokemon sent out by the pirates. Already, this battle is a losing proposition for them.[break][break]
“I think we’re just about at the point where they’ll stop resisting arrest.” Navy observes, resting on Tanwyn’s back. “You wanna talk ‘em into stopping, or do you want me to do it?”

The Pokémon begin to swarm around her and she grins happily as they seemed to be relieved to join her side. Navy asks her if he or she should be the one to offer a surrender "You do it, I've done it enough times. Let's see you start practicing for the big leagues with your words." she says giving him a thumbs up and a blank stare. [break][break]

She stayed back and tended to the pokemon behind them, waiting for his signal if they decided to keep fighting so she can bring down her heavy hammer.

To that, he offers her a nod. A nod is quickly followed by a smile. He has a second before he has to get into character.[break][break]
“Prepping me for elite 4 already, huh?” He teases before Tanwyn leads him forward. Seeing this coming, he pulls out a megaphone. Better to be heard by all of them.[break][break]
“Alright, boys. You know the score. You know who I am, you know who the lady is. Put down your arms, release your Pokemon into our custody, you get a lighter sentence. Sucks that you had to run into us today, but them’s the breaks. Fight, you get a free trip to the hospital and the judge tacks on a few years to your sentence.”[break][break]
Arceus does he ever hate being a cop. He speaks the words in a steady tone. Many of them throw down their pokeballs. One levels his gun at Navy, aims quickly, fires. Galahad saves him, jumping in the path of the bullet and cutting it with his leek. Fenrir sends the man flying with a stone edge.[break][break]
“That’s one for 25 to life. Anyone else?”

She sighs "Of course they wouldn't choose peace. Oh well." she says as she stands up and rushes to navy's aid with sword drawn. [break][break]

"Acrobatics!" she orders as suddenly her Quaquaval leaps forward into the air with beauty and grace and drops it's weight down on one of the trainers on the boat and pins them to the floor. "Alright guys! Get them!" she says as the hoard of pokemon they were trying to illegally smuggle now turned on them and began to rush towards the sinking ship.[break][break]

She had hoped it would work for him but it didn't seem they were the talkative type nor the type to really comply.

No one expected anything different from what happens next. Fenrir’s stone edge, Galahad’s sacred sword, Ralsei’s spirit shackles, and Tanwyn’s claws bring this to a decisive end. Those that threw down their pokeballs before the fight started are noted by the Sheriff. Pokemon are taken to safety. The boat is left for their inspection.[break][break]
“Crazy, isn’t it?” Navy asks in the aftermath, musing over the taste of a cigar while other officers cart off the pirates. “That they’d fight like that. Seems like a risky proposition at best.”[break][break]
Without thinking, he pulls her into a hug, tossing the cigar aside. It’s just like old days he doubts she remembers. It feels good to fight alongside her, like they did when she volunteered herself to come along on his journeys across Galar.[break][break]
“Damn if you’re not a good fighter, starlight.”
