It’s fun having her brother by her side. At times, it proves more worrisome than not, but he has more than proven he can take care of himself. Eva shoots her brother grin, forcefully slapping her hand into his and pulling them forward, “Of course. Together!”

As one, they share the brunt of this noxious place.

She’s beautiful, hauntingly so. It’s like looking in a mirror through time. They’re so similar. It’s a struggle to ignore the apparition. It’s meant to draw them away from the task at hand, lure them deeper into the noxious energy until they went mad from it.

[break][break] she is hauntingly beautiful, but that is not the thing that gives ollie pause. it is the fact that she is here at all that has fear driven through his veins, as if he is plunged into a bath of ice-water.

[break][break] eva doesn't understand it. she was too young to know her. she was -

[break][break] the ranger's head jerks in his sister's direction when she speaks, suddenly pulled out of the trance. "y-yeah, you're right. we should... we should go," ollie says with a nod, gathering the rest of the load into bags and tossing it over his shoulder. last time he came here with illeana reyes, they'd left with nothing. but ollie was stubborn this time, he wasn't willing to go back, to suffer this, without it meaning something.
