The stone, duplicate as it was, is useless to him. Still, he takes it.[break][break]

Briefly, he considers whipping it off the side of the tower to see what might happen. BARNABY FINCH's words draw him away from the call of that particular void, and the underboss turns to him with stone still safe in hand.

His tone is dry, but there's weight behind the suggestion. How long have they been fighting to bring down this particular world? How long will they continue to fight? Would they need to be wiped out entirely before they stopped?
