The work was back breaking. Each Pokemon required a specific task whether it was feeding the Lechons, to cleaning out the stables where the Rapidash and Ponyta lived. He remembered the early days where he'd putter out before he could finish it all. Now? He'd barely lose his breathe.

He'd come to love this place like his own, taking to the work like a Lechonk to shit. Today marked a solumn day — the last time he'd gather the yield of honey before the season shift.

Arriving, he notes that he's not alone here. That wasn't atypical, so he heads around back, smile lifted.

the voice that came around the corner was familiar enough, although it had been a while since he'd seen greyson for more than a few seconds. bo kept busy, almost avoidant of the league in his retirement.[break][break]

thinking of willow, then, he realized that greyson had perhaps expected her to be there to help him. this was her job, and for whatever reason, she wasn’t there to do it.[break][break]

On one hand, he'd been an acquaintance and respectable competitor years back during the HST. On the other, he, like his brother, were Rocket defectors. He should've been happy to see the man turning over a new leaf, and yet, it was still all the more troubling to know he'd once been part of a terrorist organization.

"Sure," he says diplomatically. Like it or not willow atkins owned the farm, and she had a familial connection with the man. If she was OK with his past, than he too should make an effort.

"I'm just here to clear the hives and prepare some for transport to my chamber back at League headquarters."

With a nudge of his head, he motions for the man to follow.

as he followed greyson to the hives, nacho, his vaporeon, came barreling towards them, set to run right past. bo swooped down and grabbed him up, twirling around in the process from the force.[break][break]

while the vaporeon struggled against him, he reached down to grab a stick and throw it far as he could in the direction opposite of the hives. the vaporeon propelled off his chest and ran off again after it, but became distracted by something else in the grass a fair distance away, freeing them of hazardous antics for now.[break][break]

"nacho's trouble." surely, greyson was already aware, having been around plenty. the vaporeon was a mischief-maker ever on the prowl.[break][break]

"Yeah, I've got my fair share." A chuckle escapes, the first real trace of humanity from him today. Why was it so hard to be cordial? He felt a richeous anger that he couldn't explain. Somehow, despite how silly it sounded, Greyson couldn't temper that feeling of betrayal.

"Most of the work's already done. We just need to collect any excess honey, ensure there's no stragglers hiding about inside, then get them all loaded up and placed tightly in a circle. Easy, right?"
