Amor was slowly closing in on one of his long time goals of getting enough badges to challenge the vaunted Elite Four. While he didn't want to become the true Number One trainer and attempt to replace kyle lopez . He did want to take them all on, and beat them at their strongest with his strongest. If for no other selfish reason than to just prove to himself that he was capable of holding his own against their legendary's when he had none of his own. If he was going to clash with them time, and again then it only made sense that he take this opportunity to gather as much data as he could so his victory would all but be assured when he saw them outside of the confines of battle.

However that would be after he conquered this gym. Like Navy this just felt like another obstacle for him to overcome so he could get there. Though Mr. Navidson's Garchomp had put up quite the fight against Draco, they were both almost in shreds after that battle, and it was one that Amor would remember fondly. Still here he had no idea what this new Gym Leader had in store for him, considering the sign ups they seemed to specialize in double battles, and Amor was curious to see how they battled.

"Thank you for taking the time to accept my challenge...." He spoke cordially to the leader when they appeared, though until they signaled for the battle to start he wouldn't send out his own Pokemon.

The next challenger on Lam’s docket seemed like a step up from some of the easier matches conducted that day. From his office, he mulled over the data sheet and idly tapped on the row of pokeballs he tended to select his pairs from. “Hmm, these are all heavy hitters..” Mumbled to himself as he eyed each type. He lacked some of that sheer force, admittedly, but he could work around that with tools of his own, surely. [break][break]
One, two, three, four. He weighed each choice, then settled on it.[break][break]
Lam met him on the pitch, a friendly grin stretching across his face. “Of course!” A casual wave signaled his laidback demeanor. “It’s what I’m here for, after all.” That was the whole point of him setting up shop—to be a stepping stone for those building their way up. If he could be an adequate challenge, then he’d have done his job properly. And if it wasn’t difficult, well then he aimed for a good, enjoyable battle.[break][break]
Two pokeballs waffled in hand before a tap of the release sent each out in red beams of light. The crash of the Slither Wing overshadowed the other, almost making the clefairy easy to miss. Not that she lacked for capacity! Eager to assist, her FRIEND GUARD glowed around the overgrown moth in a preemptive buff.[break][break]
“No need for fanfare, I figure!” Lam called from his side, “first move is yours, whenever you’re ready!” If his challenger wanted to chat along the way, he’d oblige. “Amor, right? Mr. Rose? Let’s see how well your synergy is!”

Amor gave his usual charming smile back to the man across from him.

"Just Amor is fine....We are in your house as it were, Mr. Logan." Amor chuckled as he looked at the opening pair that the man had sent out, and he thought for a moment. He recognized one of them if only because he possessed one of his own. Which meant that he knew what his opening pair would be in order to combat these two. At the very least, it would give him a chance to see how the man battled.

"Zilla.....Stryker, you're up...." Amor gave the call, and in a flash of white his Iron Thorns, and Zeraora were standing on the field across from the two enemies. Now would be a good time to see if his strategy would hold up against a new Gym Leader. Would this man allow him to control the field as so many others? Or would someone finally breach his castle? "Zilla, Electric Terrain....Stryker, Plasma Fist." It was a calculated order.

His Iron Thorns would surge with electric power before spreading it across the field, and in doing so, the dull lights on it's body would begin to glow brighter as it's Quark Drive activated, giving it a hefty boost to it's attack power. Zeraora however would dash across the field as fast as it could attempting to close the gap between itself, and the Clefairy, and slamming it's plasma coated fists into it's body. With it's power further boosted by the electric terrain.

Amor wasn't going to waste time playing around, he had been admonished by others for taking it to easy in the beginning of battles, and so he was going on the attack from the get go. If he applied enough pressure early on, and kept it up he hoped that it would cause the other to make mistakes.

TLDR
Zilla uses Electric Terrain! Which boosts the power of electric type moves, and prevents sleep!
Quark Drive activates on Zilla boosting his Attack!
Stryker charges at Clefairy using Plasma Fist! Due to Plasma Fist all Normal Type moves become electric for the rest of the turn!

Lam’s nose wrinkled, and he waved a hand dismissively even as he laughed. “Mister Logan is my dad, Lam works just the same.” At least things seemed largely congenial, he was fine with that. His pokemon waited, patient but primed for their normal maneuvers to set in motion.[break][break]
But oh. Lam realized the crack in his own armor almost immediately. He should’ve taken a bit more time to consider a few more of his pokemon as Amor sent out his own opponents. But there was nothing really to do about it now, he couldn’t backtrack and add more ground type ammunition to his group.[break][break]
Sort of embarrassing if he let Amor make quick work of the group, so they’d put up a resistance as long as they could! Plus, this was more about strategy and working against setbacks with cohesion than it was about sheer brute force. With that in mind, he began setting up his counter.[break][break]
The plasma first collided with his clefairy’s soft, pink body and sent her sailing backward. The little pokemon let out a shrill noise, but clambered back to her feet as electricity crackled around them. Moth Man let out an infuriated noise at the attack on its little friend. Lam, however, lifted a hand to stay it from directing its attention toward the zeraora. “Try to topple our metal friend. Cleo, give a more cordial greeting!”[break][break]
The slither wing’s focus shifted and powerful wings rustled to life to send it careening toward the Iron Thorns. It twisted as it drew closer, kicking out with its back legs and tail in a LOW SWEEP meant to pull the metallic dinosaur’s grounded feet out from under it.[break][break]
Despite the punch she had just received, his clefairy skipped forward to gift the zeraora with a sweet little kiss in return before skipping away again. Doing her best to not betray the winded feeling that lingered from the prior, boosted attack.
