She does not acknowledge the harm done to her. Her friends react as they did before. The dog knows there is an infinite tide coming for him. Let them come. He'll bare his teeth as many times as he must.[break]
"Come on, Whitey. We kill ten, we move on. I'll race you there." A trace of the old callous attitude comes out. These people aren't people. They're simulated data. They don't react to being killed. There's no bloodlust in his eyes, no trace of anything except duty. They'll move on. They'll get their paycheck.

Still, he dashed forward low, beginning the first strike one of the women who came out from the shadows, a glint in the corner of his eyes barely allowed him to dodge a large sphere of ice that appeared at his feet.

So he continued to attack, again and again, delivering strike after strike. Because that was true, it was just a simulation, they’d play around until they had their fill of this world, then they’d move onto another.

He's wrong for this. The moment the Unown start firing, he knows this phase is over. Instead of fighting the inevitable, he gives in. Unlike his companion, he has no queer warrior pride - at least not here. Instead, he allows himself to be hit by the ancient power of the Unown. They are cast somewhere else. Somewhere last in time, lost in space, past present or future.[break]

There's just one small snag in this step.[break]
The dog can't read. He's a Johto dog. When the message is, inevitably, relayed to him, he raised his sword. He swings it around with reckless abandon. His antics bring back a memory from his childhood. He didn't get to watch TV much. On one of the few occasions that he did, he watched a grown man absolutely demolish his own talk show set. That's what he does. Kicking things about, slashing everything in sight, he even unleashes a blast of sickening ectoplasmic energy.[break]
"Come out come out wherever you are!" He huffs, trying to catch his breath. This is...actually pretty fun.

Kouji really should have been aware considering who he was working with, but at the same time Hitoshi was someone who got the gist of something without needing to be read to. And if he was enjoying it…
