It is definitely not his first foray into this place, and it certainly wouldn't be his last. However they were here on a mission, to find that special Volcanion again, and learn about transference of Infinity Energy so that he could keep up his end of their promise. Meanwhile....All he could do was hope that Azelf would show up before things started going badly for the entire region. Did he know what was going to happen? No, just that Eternatus would probably be involved....Along with the creatures that were responsible for that time displacement they all experienced. It all felt like an uphill climb....

This place was comforting at the very least, machines could be understood they only ever did what they were programmed to do. So keeping a few steps back to make sure Eris Halla, and Reiner had enough room to maneuver he followed behind them. Today they were going to get more answers. They were going ot find out what happened to the Royal Family, and the people of this place. Where had all the humans gone?

During his first outing here he had seen tangible evidence of humans living here at one point, but now there were none left. Amor had theories, but none of them were concrete. None of them had enough evidence....Hopefully they would find something useful today. If they didn't, then another trek would be necessary, and after their last one....Amor didn't know how Eris was feeling about continuing to come here. After everything she had been through, and last time....

She was a tough kid at the very least.

Eris Halla

He doesn't realize that his silence is oppressive to the others, and so he continues to be lost in his thoughts. Regardless he continues to follow along easily. It doesn't take long before he sees the broken machines of past visitors, and perhaps a few of their own making. A gentle sigh leaves his lips, and soon they come across two very large doors, that look like the entrance to some sort of dungeon. It was like something out a fiction novel....Though everything in this place seemed to be ripped straight from one of those novels.

"Let me go in first....Just to be safe...." Amor was still shaken a bit when he thought that he had....When that rogue machine had exploded on top of her. It was so vivid to him, it brought him right back to when he had failed to save her....When he had failed to save his parents....It had done a number on his nerves, and he wasn't going to take any chances. So he summoned Draco, the Dragonite that she would be more than familiar with at this point. It was the partner Pokemon he preferred above all others.

It was his most trusted pokemon, and his strongest. With Draco at his side they pushed open the doors to reveal whatever lay behind it.

Eris Halla

If Amor could cry, he would have in that moment....She would feel the trembling in his hands when she squeezed his. There were no words to describe the terror he had felt when he thought she might've died....The voice in his head had been egging him on ever since it was brought to life with Chien-Pao, telling him how weak he was....He had been able to ignore it mostly, but in that moment he was faced with it in the most horrible way possible. It had taken a great toll on him, and the emotions just kept welling up like a damn. His tear ducts however had been seared shut long ago, and so he wasn't able to cry, so all that was left was for him to just tremble like a child.

She's okay....She says she okay, and he knows that, but if she hadn't been....Would he be just like that Volcanion? The Knight searching for the Princess, giving up pieces of it's own life to make it a reality....Amor knew the answer, he would probably be worse, and that is what terrified him. He was willing to break the world to save those he cared about.

"Yeah I know you are...." He whispers softly, with a shaky smile, and then together they push open the doors to reveal another grand library. "Do not go far from me...." He asks her as they make their way into this strange place. It was immaculate, it had shelves upon shelves of books here ripe for the picking, and reading. Though what they would find was anyones guess. Maybe it would be valuable information to help them, Amor had also brought along some Ironbark....Today he was going to take Eris Halla to meet the Knight....

Carefully with Draco leading the way the group would enter the grand library, and so their quest for answers would begin.

The book he had picked up showed the Soul Heart, or at least early versions of it....It showed schematics for some kind of machine, mechanical soldiers. It spoke of some unknown calamity that was going to erase them, but what it was he had no clue....Was this just the paranoia of the author? Amor frowned again as he tried to figure out what it all meant. There were pictures of what appeared to the be the Royal Guard, and there was a little girl with them. Her features weren't very distinct, but the text below, sent a chill down his spine.

"To save the Princess.....

We must preserve her soul....

This is the only way...."

Amor just blinked as he read that over, and over again.

"They didn't....They wouldn't do that....She was just a child...." Amor stated as he looked down at the book that he was reading, and he was just flabbergasted at the whole thing.

Did they really put her into a machine....To preserve her? That wasn't humane, and come to think of it....The Volcanion....Was he really a Knight that had protected her in his human life then? There were so many questions, and not enough answers. This place was ludicrous, did that mean....Every machine that they had fought up to this point was actually a human at one point that had been subjected to this lunacy?

Amor snapped the book shut they had sacrificed their daughter for something....That was what he didn't understand....Why did they do it? There was only one creature here who could give him answers, and he looked down at Eris, she was still there.

"Eris....Would you like to meet the Knight today....?" Amor had already been to the chamber where the Knight resided so he could get back there easily enough with the help of his Gallade.

With the nod, he noticed Reiner pacing, and Amor just chuckled. Sadly they couldn't get to where they were going via normal means, and his Gallade appeared beside them. Amor knew the last time he had visited the talking Volcanion, they had used one of the primal fragments to reach there. It had been a whole process but since he had been there before they could bypass a lot of that. So when Eris Halla, and Reiner got close enough, Belus would Teleport them all into the chamber underneath the castle where the Volcanion was located.

It was here that a bunch of Carbink that he had released along with Makoto Kurumi swarmed around him, and bounced happily. Being freed from those horrid machines, they saw Eris, and bounced around her as well. It would seem they were all happy to have a new guest, and they just danced around the little girl. Around them Eris Halla would see a steam engine, and there were several other engines that had been fueled by the Carbink before being released.

"They are harmless...." Amor assured her with an easy smile as he knelt down to pat one of them before continuing through a set of doors ahead. In this room it was a mechanical assembly line, volcanion after volcanion was being assembled here, but at the end of the line was just a pile of broken parts, and machinery that could no longer be salvaged. Amor gave a few moments for Eris to take in the sights before heading straightforward through one more set of doors. Littered around on the ground were mechanical looking dolls, that looked just like the Magearna he possessed.

They were lifeless unmoving. Amor knew the secret however....Though he wouldn't share that just yet.

"Ah you have returned....Have you found her the Princess...." came the heavy voice from the Volcanion on the far end of the room.

Amor noticed how much weaker he sounded than previous.

"We've come to ask about her...." At least he was lucid this time.

The Volcanion's breathing is labored....How many had come before, how many had he restored?

"I need to find her she must be kept safe...." His voice trailed off, and Amor looked upon the legendary with a frown on his face. He hated to see it this way.

"Do you remember how you asked me to look into infinity energy transference...." He spoke to Eris softly. "He can do it, it's how he ressurrects these dolls....He gives them life, but it costs him his own. Each one he brings back, saps a little more away...." Amor had come prepared this time, and brought out some of the Iron Barkskin. It was basically Mechanical Kingdom Jerky, but he held it to the maw of the Volcanion, and it slowly began to eat it.

Once it was finished eating, there was more light in it's eyes, it seemed a little stronger than before. Amor however still wasn't happy.

"I don't know how much longer he has....I keep trying to keep him going, but until he finds the Princess...." Amor looked down at the dolls littering the floor around them. "I don't know...." He didn't speak further than that, and he waited until the Volcanion was strong enough to speak again before asking his next question.

They had to know about the Princess, they had to find her.
