despite his frequent visits to mount chimney—frequent enough to make it his second home—he has not paid much attention to the adjacent town of fallarbor. all he knows of it is that it's peaceful and constantly covered in soot.[break][break]

tonight, it serves as his resting grounds as he recovers from being hit by a type: null's IRON HEAD; the pain of which likely pales to what annalise henderson has gone through.[break][break]

it feels like she's traded one prison cell for another. [break][break]
the knock on the door startles her out of her thoughts. her head turns, jaw brushing against the pillow, to watch MATIAS SILPH enter the room. her stomach lurches with surprise, but even that feels strangely hollow beside the enormity of her exhaustion.

her face screws up with pain as she starts to sit up, reaching across herself to gently cradle her bandaged side with a gentle hand. it's only when she finally props herself up against the pillow that she really looks at matias. her reaction is underwhelming — just a sullen stare at his injuries and a raspy:
