Shalin had promised Yvaine Varron a playday at her Romping Grounds after she had returned from the Halls of Origin. It had been a long many months, what with her preparations to take Rustboro's Ranger Captain seat, but at last she had a weekend to herself.

It was time to make good on that promise.

Wearing a Sygna Suit that made her look like the green-scaled dragon standing just outside her hollowed tree-home's back door, Shalin smiled in anticipation of Yvaine's arrival. Before her were several of the wildest Pokémon mounts she had access to. While her Yanmega was still on the mend, the giant dragonfly was present, stretching his wings on occasion now that they were healed enough to at least exercise. He still could not fly for more than s few seconds at a time, and not at all with a human on his back.

The Pokémon before her were ones that anyone else would look at her like she was crazy for strapping riding gear to. A Shiny Beedrill. A Seismitoad. A Kommo-o. As intense as those were, none could hold a candle to Saria, her Venusaur. Yvaine would find out exactly why as soon she arrived, seeing her friend and her Flygon glowing a faint green, Shalin somehow sitting on the bulb at the end of her Venusaur's massive vine.
