unlike their trainer who's always wary of their surroundings, the pichu and sprigatito pay no heed, even wandering towards the buzzing. the pichu even has the gall to peek over his shoulder to ensure shigure is following behind and oh. was that a laugh? shigure rolled his eyes but still complied. what greeted them, however, did cause a pause in the kantonian's movement, his rascal duo halting at the sight of a trio of pokemon clearly brought together by an outside force. shigure is quick to scan their surroundings though, first to find a possible trainer but they needn't look too far! they mumble a what the hell under their breath, before they breathe a sigh and raise their hands in surrender. [break][break]

"just passing by," he claims, however one can't miss the sheer fascination he has in watching how the stranger manages to stay glued to the beedrill's wing. his pokemon, however? well they're quick to cower behind him, and hopefully the sudden movement doesn't set any of the beasts off. [break][break]

shigure mouths a what the f— as the type:null surges forward to attack, the kantonian feeling his pokemon press themselves against his leg for protection in case the flygon's defense would turn into a full on fight. fortunately nothing of the sort happens, and the unnamed trainer even gives him a glance of acknowledgement once her feet finally come back to earth. he half-expected a scolding towards her pokemon, though with how she struggled to even part her lips, shigure gives his own nod of understanding. it'll probably come later then.[break][break]

her readjustment must be like trying to get rid of sea legs. except it's. wing mouth... uh. sure. anyway, he's been there. sort of. with the sea legs. and shigure is ever patient (though unfortunately just not the most social).[break][break]

instead, he glances at the forest denizens that have made themselves known. he observes how they settle for a moment, stretching wings and body before they truly become aware of their own surroundings. shigure sees how they tremble and. right. he should scoop up his little ones. [break][break]

"come here..." he mumbles, bending forward and almost stumbling at how his pichu and sprigatito scramble into his arms. can't blame them for their behavior. they've seen a lot of stuff in their time with him, but they're also only small fry that'd definitely be squished if any other of her pokemon wanted to go on a rampage. "alright, calm down..." he looks at the green haired girl and tilts his head quizzically. "... should i go before my pokemon get eaten or..." [break][break]

"uh. i wasn't worried about... 'queen zing,' but thanks..." they stand there puzzled, head tilting as they look up and watch the clouds pass by. her. backyard...? shigure's pokemon sense his confusion and they follow his gaze as if they could peek into his mind and understand what's going on in there. feeling their shift in movement, he looks back down at the duo in his arms and bluntly says: "so now we're trespassing in people's homes because of you two." not the first time it has happened, but at least it shows shalin how they wound up here. they're not going to bother asking why she's living in the forest, and brushes it aside easily enough. people live where they want and where they feel comfortable. it is what it is. [break][break]

"shigure," they reply, glancing at the type:null (lathiel, is it?), though quickly averts his gaze. it's hard to scare shigure, but it's not difficult to have them be cautious. especially after lathiel attacked her trainer? yeah, no. "does she always... swing at you?" a pause. "and do you alwa—" a loud CAW! cuts them off, shigure blinking at the noise. his head raises back to the sky, blinking at the sight of a pidove flapping its tiny wings as quickly as possible, a fearow diving right after it. "ah..." oh, that pidove just looked so pitiful. their head hangs back, a sigh pushed through their nose. he looks at shalin, releasing his pokemon from their hold, pichu already prepared to zap at whatever his trainer points at. "... does lathiel wanna. hit something else?"[break][break]

the expression on shigure's face can only be classified as stunned expectance. the way lathiel fires without so much as a command has the kantonian and their pokemon just watching as the attack whizz through the air towards the fearow, their heads even tilting to follow the arc. unfortunately, the pidove is caught in the crossfire (but thankfully dodges most of it!), only to begin its plummet to the ground. [break][break]

despite their short stature and relatively exhausted demeanor, shigure is quick on their feet. arms are out to catch the pidove, pichu and sprigatito at his legs as he hurriedly limps to capture it. they noticeably relax when it lands in their arms (a soft oof let out in response to the impact), shoulders drooping and posture deflating. [break][break]

they look to the fearow, to lathiel, to shalin and pidove and purse their lips. "well..." taking pity on the poor singed pidove, shigure gently taps a pokeball against its little head. it lets out a little tired peep before it's sucked into the ball. "that's one bird taken care of, i guess?" they're back to looking at shalin and then gesture to fearow locked in combat with lathiel. [break][break]

"she's, uh. probs got that, right?"
