Trying to catch these little buggers was always annoying when they were near electronics. Mostly cause you couldn't catch a TV infected by one. Well you could but that would be considered illegal. Still it was probably a good idea to keep in the back pocket. For now Kaz watched as a few entered and exited a few appliances and chucked a ball into them. He was bound to get lucky or buy something he broke on accident. Oh well.

The screech of Ninja blenders and Dyson vacuums play out her sonata, Keurigs and LGs hop to the beat as she dances through the halls of the Lilycove Department Store. She fights not against the ghosts and ghouls that haunt these appliances, she joins in their merriment and sings in the electronic chaos, the Singstation springs to life as she hops on and belts out a power ballad dedicated to the future, a world where the machines rule and humans dedicate their pitiful lives to their glorious maintenance! The others fighting the Rotoms look at her as if she's insane, but they have to admit she seems to be having some sort of effect confining the chaos to the area around her as the electric spirits join in her Halloween merriment. Argon merely shrugs as he tangos with a Roomba, even the voice of reason amongst the pair had to join in the insanity sometimes.

Why the fuck did one of the Carrier air conditioning units at the flat had to break now, of all times?!

He caught sight of what appeared to be a similarly-branded air conditioning unit with the brand Condura listed on it, before…

It just so happened he was at the Lilycove Department Store, scoping out what replacement air conditioning he was going to buy when he thought he saw several people engaged in combat with… their electric appliances?!

He had to a double-take before he saw… one of the other air conditioning units suddenly… levitating…

“Are you kidding me?!” he exclaimed in despair as he looked over to where his Lucario was already herding him to get the fuck out of there before the possessed air conditioning unit came in and smacked them like a mummy’s coffin that had fallen over!

“Why did the appliances all have to be possessed today?!” he wailed as he turned and hightailed it as fast as he could manage.

Whoa. A quick department store call for her? This shouldn't take long... until the nightmare of seeing a Rotom blender going on high and spinning comes to vision, and dumbfounded, Genny has to prepare herself.[break][break]

Between her and Sherwood the Treecko... the horror on Genny's face said it all, as she races towards the freezer aisle, and oh god, oh no, look at them. They're opening and clacking with such a crazy click-clack. This wasn't a Samsung smart fridge at all, these were absolutely possessed silly fridges, floating via LEVITATE.[break][break]

"Sherwood! Ground'em!" With the gecko firing off a WORRY SEED towards the fridge monsters, the fridge would have to slam into the floor.[break][break]

Oof... this was gonna take awhile.[break][break]

But it can’t be helped— they’re Lilycove residents, and so to the infiltrated store they go once the reports of spooky electronics start rolling in. At the moment, he hasn’t seen anything. Not until a blender practically launches itself off the shelf at them. Peaches squawks, and works herself into a tizzy—scrambling behind Lam’s legs as he also startles at the abrupt moment. The blender rolls across the ground, motor whirring until a rotom pops free in hunt of a new piece of equipment to inhabit.[break][break]

Lam almost misses the chance to toss a ball at it altogether, but chucks it before it can dive into a toaster.

it’s very rare for him to rely on his PORYGON for battles. these resources are to be coveted for their niche use cases. squandered them in plain battles is too unsightly. but here, in an electrical battlefield, they are the only pokemon able to rival the ROTOM’s elusivity.

"Not my department store! I live here!!" Mint complained as the place threatened to shut down due to a swarm of lousy Rotoms. He rushes in past other trainers, pulling put his SAMSUNG brand GALAXY Z FLIP5 Flip Phone, recording his mad dash to the appliances section.

"The Halloween stuff is about to go on CLEARANCE! GET OUT!!" he shouted, Zabaglione rushing in and throwing out a SHADOW HOLD at whatever he could grab.

Ah, Hoenn. Where you could not walk into a department store without the Bosch machine coming to life and trying to eat you instead. Well, it wasn’t quite as dramatic here, really. Rotoms were not carnivores, they barely even cared about humans, really. At least not in that way.

That was the impression Violet got as she tried to go about her business in the light chaos that followed. By now she was much too used to weirdness to truly miss a step to any of this. She had no obligation to stop this. Heck, the rangers probably would explicitly tell her to get out of the way. Hence, she grabbed what she had collected so far and tried to make for the exit instead, hoping to either be able to pay or maybe even sneak out in the confusion, conveniently forgetting to pay. Well, probably not. She didn’t have to. But still, she was not going to let this get into the way too much.

Though she kept a ball in hand, just in case. Maybe she could snatch a distracted or weakened ghost at some point. That would at least make up for the inconvenience.
