slateport has hosted a costume party at their local park, inviting everyone for the dog socializing event. everyone had to come in costume, and it meant both the trainer and their dogs.

kyle, who hasn't actually bothered to buy a costume, goes in with his police uniform. he already fixed some of his to be more comfortable so it wasn't identical to the official one anyways.

the rest of his dogs were also in costume. kyle has spent more time deciding what they are supposed to be than his own costume, and even though a lot of the other dogs will be in similar costumes, they won't be in a same group as his mightyenas, or as they are called tonight, the paw patrol.

with a camera, kyle walks around trying to find other people with dogs of interesting costumes, some of which include the classics such as mummies/shapeshifters/vampires. temp will be one of the people kyle will find in this party.

A dog party? A costume dog party? In the Slateport park, no less? Oh, Temp was 100% there.[break][break]

He was wearing a very silly robber costume, the cheesy black stripes and a bad mask over his eyes. He only had four of his dogs with him, not trusting some of his more rough dogs.[break][break]

Milksteak the Mightyena instantly spots the pack that is led by kyle lopez.[break][break]

Tempest is a thief, but his dogs are dressed up as the Totally Spies (with his midnight Lycanroc being the weird old man who bosses them around.)

one of his pokemon barks, and then the rest follows. his eyes follow the object of their attention and it goes to another mightyena.

kyle was approaching when he spots the dark-type's trainer nearby. eyes light up when he sees the costumes of his lycanrocs. they aren't the stereotypical costumes at least.

"hello," he greets, posturing his camera in front of him to signal his intent. "can i take a picture with your dogs?"

if the totally spies were pokemon, they'd definitely be fighting-types.

When kyle lopez and his dogs are close enough, his own dogs approach his and start to sniff. The Paw Patrol and Totally Spies was not a typical crossover one would expect to see...[break][break]

"Oh! Yeah! Yours are cute, too. Can I get a pic?" Temp has already taken out his phone and is opening his camera app.

he fumbles on what to do next, but quickly lets his camera hang back on his neck from a strap for an offer.

"i can take a picture of you with them if you want." he extends a hand for him to take temp's phone for it. "...and then can you take one of me with yours?"

it was a different experience if they're in the same frame in the picture after all, as opposed to just the dogs.

there's no other way to pose with the totally spies than to act like jerry. he stands there with composure, surrounded by dogs that should have been fighting-type since they're totally spies, as the click goes.

kyle doesn't even check the picture in his camera before he goes to take one with temp with the paw patrol.

"alright, three... two... one...!"

the flash goes, and it temporarily blinds the dogs. not that they cared though, since pokemon battles were more damaging for their eyeballs than a simple camera flash would be.

"there you go," he offers the phone back. "i even made sure to include your good side and all."

Temp strikes a totally cool and epic pose for kyle lopez to take a picture of. When they're all done and trade back, Temp lingers for a moment. This whole time, this guy had looked...[break][break]

"yup, that's me," he answers with a smile. "it's totally not just a costume since he was also a cop."

eventually, the smile turns awry. kyle puts his hand over his stomach as gastro acids react violently to the food he ate earlier and whatever was offered on the table.

"it was nice knowing you, mister jones, but, uh, duty calls. thanks for the pictures too, by the way." he dips his head apologetically and as he passes by him, he whispers. "don't try the tacos. i think one of the dogs got to them."
