[attr="class","aurelie_body"]Aurelie raised her arms and let out an exultant cheer as the Miraidon on their side managed to hold its ground and defeat the larger, fiercer-looking Miraidon. It hadn't been easy staying out of the crossfire and dodging the claw strikes, lightning bolts, and tail swipes flying back and forth, but it was worth it just to watch their dramatic, jaw-dropping clash.

"Yes! We're the best!" she exclaimed ebulliently, adding her voice to the Miraidon's roar of victory. "High fives all around!" she added, turning first to the purple Pokemon—who ignored her uplifted hand in favor of licking a wound on its side—and then to Nomi.

"You fought amazingly," she told the Miraidon with sincere admiration in her voice. "Now, if only I had some HYPER POTIONS or something..."

Even as she fumbled in her pockets, the Miraidon dropped to its forelegs and offered its back once more to her and Nomi. The redhead blinked in surprise and then broke into a wide smile, swinging astride the Pokemon once more.

A Paradox Pokemon, she reflected, regarding the Miraidon thoughtfully and recalling Nomi's words before the battle. And from the Violet Book! It made such sense, now that she thought about it. It did bear somewhat of a resemblance to the Cyclizar from the first scenario, after all. Of course, that had to be the connection between this mysterious Pokemon and the RKS system.

I really hope she's right and we get to summon one of these in real life soon, the redhead thought. Though hopefully, with less drama than the last time that any Pokemon were summoned through the Violet Book...

It heartened Aurelie to think that, while the close-mouthed Admin Bee seemingly hadn't seen fit to trust her with the information about the Violet Book's cover, Nomi clearly felt no such reservations. Perhaps it had to do with being a scientist and thus not a fan of withholding knowledge from anyone, no matter what their relative importance to Rocket might be.

With that encouraging thought in mind, the redhead flashed a smile at Nomi and extended her hand. "Looks like we have a little more to explore before the scenario's over. Want to go for a ride?"

Nomi giggled, returning Aurelie's high five. It felt like something Isaac Merlo would do, which warmed her heart - which then, of course, caused a small pang of melancholic longing to surge through her. She couldn't really see Isaac much anymore, given he was now in League custody as a freshly minted Rocket defector.[break][break]
Not wanting to dwell on matters outside of her control, Nomi bowed slightly to the violet paradox in thanks - a sign of respect. She had never quite shaken that particular Johtonian custom. "Yes, thank you - you were brilliant - "[break][break]
Nomi stared down at Aurelie's offered hand. She smiled, happy enough to hop onto the Pokemon's back for a ride. She'd enjoyed the Cyclizar "car chase" more than she would have expected, she realized. She let Aurelie help her onto the paradox, then wrapped her arms around the other woman's waist to steady herself once they were both settled - blushing again as she realized how close they were this way.[break][break]
Unfortunately - or perhaps luckily? - the simulation began to fade as soon as they sped off through the cavern. Nomi got one final glimpse of some unfamiliar crystallized flora before everything pixilated away, depositing them back into the Rocket lab. Realizing she was still holding onto Aurelie, she quickly let go, blush deepening.[break][break]
"Thank you for accompanying me, Aurelie!" She blurted out, before scampering off to busy herself with one of her in-progress experiments.
