Hardly waiting for any confirmation from the other, the royal ranger grabs a hammer and slams it on the PokeGear, shattering it into pieces. Then, hardly skipping a beat, he begins to tear down the rest of the workshop in search of another exit.[break][break]

Without so much as a say, Noel watches as Remiel begins to destroy most of the workshop, including the already broken PokeGear. Unwary of the whole backstory and not wanting to contribute to this madness, he simply sighs and begins to search around for another way forward, leaving his companion to continue on with their fury.[break][break]

Remiel's hunch was correct. This was all just some big ruse. They were being played with. Worse than that, they were being displayed like some kind of animal at the circus. Those who mock them are too cowardly to even show their faces.[break][break]

"What is the meaning of this..." The exiled prince mutters as he looks all around him. Before he can utter another word, however, they begin to clap. Anything he says afterward is drowned out by the roar of noise as it steadily increases in volume.[break][break]

Eventually, Remiel is forced to cover his ears with his hands and try his best to withstand it. Just before he stumbles to the ground on his knees to curl up, however, he feels the world around him shift.[break][break]

Then, suddenly, they find themselves within a dark frigid tomb.[break][break]

What the pair thought was a workshop ended up becoming some sort of cell to contain the two. Surprised by this sudden change, Noel becomes wary of the shadowy figures that seemed to be observing them. Unable to discern their features, he could still feel their cold gaze upon them that made his skin crawl. Just what did they have in store for them?[break][break]

Suddenly they all begin to rhythmically clap, starting faint at first but soon growing in volume and power. The noise became deafening to Noel's ears, he was unable to hear himself think through the deafening applause. His knees buckle and he's forced down from the sheer force of this sound. His consciousness begins to fade as the world around him distorts into a mess of sounds and colors.[break][break]

It finally notices you. A SPIRITOMB emerges from the cracked stone, its malevolent smile set against a spectral swirl. Souls whip in and out of its shape...

Remiel scans the dark tomb they find themselves in with a wary gaze. Only the moonlight above offers any worthwhile illumination. From what he can tell, they're in some sort of burial chamber.[break][break]

Upon noticing the strange moonlit stone, however, the royal raises a hand to bar Noel from advancing. "Stay back. That's a SPIRITOMB we're dealing with there." He says, almost on cue as the malevolent entity emerges.[break][break]

With seemingly nowhere else to run, Remiel sighs. "Try to find a way out of here. I'll EXORCISE it while it has its attention on me." As a Ghost-type sub-specialist and archaeologist, he'd memorized the scripture required to do so. And, before long, his voice echoes throughout the chamber speaking in a strange tongue...[break][break]

And infuriating the Spiritomb.

Having just awoken from their previous endeavor, Noel finds himself surrounded by strange rock sculptures the likes of which he had never seen. As he steps forward to analyze one that seemed different from the rest, he's stopped by Remiel and heeds his warning. This Spiritomb seemed to be radiating evil energy all around its body. Souls of the lost could visibly be seen permeating inside it.[break][break]

Remiel began his exorcism against the creature which only angered it. Ghost-like whips spring out from the Spiritomb's body that threatened to harm his companion. Quickly jumping in front of Remiel, he would take the full brunt of the attacks in order for the incantation to continue uninterrupted.[break][break]

"You'd better hurry up Remiel... These things hurt like hell and it's only getting madder."[break][break]

You hear voices crawling out from the tombstones: "500 years... 500 years... 500 years..."[break][break]

As the Pokemon pursues you, it attempts to DESTINY BOND you and your Pokemon before the next shift.

Remiel is shocked, to say the least, that Noel would put himself in such danger for him. And, though he briefly falters, the archaeologist quickly scrambles to continue the exorcism as he helps the lad up. His eyes say thank you; though perhaps they're a bit chastising as well.[break][break]

Once he finishes the incantation in full, however, the Spiritomb quiets. The ghostly aura surrounding the rock dims, like a campfire smothered beneath dirt, as dozens of souls escape into the ether. Then, abruptly, the malevolent force roars back to life again.[break][break]

It begins to sluggishly give chase as it melds the shadow of its stone with theirs. Noticing this, Remiel backs away. "We need to go! Defeating it now will only seal our fates alongside it. Make haste and find an exit! I'm right behind you!"[break][break]

As his body was subjected to the ghostly horror, he would soon break free as Remiel finished the spell. Only it seemed as if the opposite had the effect, the Spiritomb was now completely enraged and threatened to end them soon if they couldn't get out. Souls crying out from around the room that had escaped the ghost's body gave the air a chilling atmosphere. Heeding Remiel's advice, he would back off from the creature and attempt to find a way out, if there was one.[break][break]

They escape through darkened tomb halls but, eventually, the tendrils of shadow pursuing them catch up. The entire world goes dark. Then, as if hatching from a perfectly split open egg, they find themselves atop a tall stone tower. The sunlight blinds Remiel for a moment as his eyes adjust. Eventually, two familiar sights come into view:[break][break]

"So this was hidden in STAGE THREE all along..." The crown prince mutters with complete fascination, shifting his attention from the TAO DRAGONS to the rooftop they stand upon. "And this must be DRAGONSPIRAL TOWER..." It had been off-access to him and everyone but a select few the last time he had visited UNOVA. But here, in this simulation, it hardly looked a century old.[break][break]

Just as he's about to go on, the two men standing beside each dragon begin to argue, acting as if Remiel and Noel weren't even there. "The two heroes of legend. Brothers. One who championed TRUTH and another who championed IDEALS." He recites under his breath, turning to his companion afterward with a sincere smile. "Which would you side with, Noel?"[break][break]
