With the forces surrounding them dazed by the sonic boom, Shalin took out Saria's Poké Ball, ready to withdraw her a split second after her next move. Still sitting on the POWER WHIP's cracker, she braced herself for another intense flicking motion. She let go of the vine right as it snapped, sending Shalin flying forward like a living missile alongside, and eventually ahead of, the fleeing Galarian prince.

As Saria hurled Shalin forward, Slateport's skyscrapers flying past her as she raced above the city's main thoroughfare, the scene around the two slowly faded to white. Was it the simulation taking them to another location, or was it her senses deceiving her as she zoomed through the soundless air?

Shalin's sensory oddities were just a product of the simulation fading to white and loading them. She was grateful for the large pool of water in the center of the Terastal Cavern slowing her incredible pace, though she was quite winded after rolling up the pool's side and onto the hard floor of the Terastal Cavern. Even with a Sygna Suit, the speed of a Venusaur's whips was no joke!

Shalin, too, was fascinated by the appearance of the Winged King. Though it resembled a Cyclizar, it was larger and much more grandiose-looking.

"Agias!" the paradox Pokémon cooed, approaching Shalin and Remiel.

"It's such a cutie," Shalin hummed, taking her turn to cuddle with the Koraidon. After being on the receiving end of such affection, the dragon crouched. "Does it want us to get on?" she asked. Before she could get an answer, though, a second Koraidon, this one looking much more aggressive and quite a bit different, stared the trio down with a menacing gaze, his top air sac whirling as though it was going to ride all three of them down and shred them with the tire-like organ.

As the Apex Koraidon roared, the BOOSTER ENERGY stored in its horns propelled it to maddening speeds. A COLLISION COURSE would certainly fell, perhaps even kill, the Koraidon on wheels at the oppressive, elevated pressure its Infinity Energy field radiated. "There's no way we can fight it as it is right now. We have to do everything to support it!" Shalin cried. "Remiel, cover your ears as tight as you can!" the Captain warned before hurling her Kommo-o's Poké Ball near the fighting paradox Pokémon. "Treble, HARMONIC DISSONANCE!" she commanded, the Z-CRYSTAL in her circlet glowing a brilliant, royal purple.

With a terrifying, echoing cry, Treble's scales shook fast enough to cause his entire body to become blurred, his tail no more than a tan blur as it shook at an eardrum-bursting frequency. He and Shalin had worked on this move together long ago, but this was the first time she had seen it in action. Even from the distance she was at, Shalin could feel herself being rocked by the incredible vibration. Remiel may have been able to feel it, too.

Z-MOVE: HARMONIC DISSONANCE

After obtaining Z-Power, the user, Kommo-o, looses a concentration-breaking sound wave. All temporary effects (stat changes, Barriers, Coats, Terrains, etc.) are nullified. (This move does not do damage.)

The scales, clanging against one another countless times per second, made it impossible for even the sharpest mind to focus and the strongest muscles to operate at apex efficiency. With the two Koraidon back on even footing with one another again, perhaps it could overcome its taller, more aggressive foe with some support from Remiel Calcifet .

The destructive battle between Koraidon was frightening to witness. The closest she had seen to it was in Littleroot, when MATIAS SILPH 's Groudon clashed with other legendary Pokémon as Rocket fought League for control of the entrance to the Mechanical Kingdom - and southwest Hoenn. After the shockwaves of their clashing attacks knocked her off her feet, the Koraidon approached them both, inflating his air sacs to full size. With a weakened cry, the paradox Pokémon rolled its eyes backward.

"You... are you saying you want us to hop on?" Shalin asked. The Winged King nodded, now on all fours. The Captain turned toward Remiel. "I guess he wants to take us out of the cave... or somewhere deeper within the cave. Who's driving?"

Shalin sat behind Remiel, content to let the Avatar grab onto the Koraidon's steering bones. The dragon-type's gallop started out fast and only got faster, the girl enjoying herself as she bounced up and down on its seat. Its front wheel whipped up a cyclone from rotating so quickly, the Pokémon zooming forward surrounded by loud and shrill squealing noises. The sprinting paradox Pokémon's bliatering rate made Hoenn's wildest rider sick, her entire body shaking violently as she tossed her cookies over her mount's left side. As Remiel Calcifet pushed Koraidon to its top speed, he may have noticed Shalin's arms wrapping around him, the girl unconscious.

By the time she woke up in the chamber full of HERBA MYSTICA, she could not identify anything, for her vision was already fading to white. The exhausted Ranger woke up in the simulation pod, covered in sweat. Just what was that Pokémon?
