Kaname sat in a small conference room, anxiously drumming his fingers against the metal tabletop with one hand, occasionally pausing to turn the pages of the small report he was reading. Across from him were two similar reports and empty seats, waiting to be filled by oscar clayton and Lulu Flint .

He had invited both of them to a meeting under the premise of hearing a proposal and possibly collaborating on it together. Kaname had neglected to fully mention exactly what the proposal was about, but he had hoped that would be enough to entice them to show up and hear him out. Oscar and Lulu, after all, were integral pieces to unlocking his crazy little idea.

The scientist stopped momentarily, gazing at his wrist watch and nodding.

“Any minute now,” Kaname murmured, his heartbeat quickening with anticipation.

once, she’d always been hungry for more things to pile onto her plate. more problems to solve, more visions to see to fruition. now, she struggled to keep up. it was a tired numbness that she carried with her to the meeting, dreading yet another proposal.[break][break]

it was oscar clayton ’s name that drew her out of her own laboratory. former head scientist Kaname Fujihara had left his post shortly after her return, and she had known little of him, apart from his brief possession of deoxys. she found herself intrigued to meet him, nonetheless.[break][break]

a short knock preceded her entrance to the conference room. ”mr. fujihara,” she greeted, approaching and soon offering a hand to shake. ”it's good to finally meet you. i’m Lulu Flint .”

As Lulu offered a hand to shake, Oscar would bumble into the room like an eccentric neighbor in a sitcom. He had been behind her for a while, trying to go unnoticed so that he could surprise her with an abrupt entrance. You know, just a fun gaffe between pals.

As Oscar clumsily closed the door, he would clap his gloved hands together and chuckle. "Well well, look at this gathering of minds!" Oscar approached the desk and clapped Kaname on the shoulder. "It's good to see you again, Mister Fujihara."

When Kaname reached out with a proposition, Oscar hopped right on it. He had fond memories of working with Kaname not too long ago, and the opportunity to do so again was an exciting prospect. Oscar took his seat next to Lulu, greeting her with a rapid raising of his eyebrows before turning to Kaname. "So what's the plan, boss?"
