The Adebayo family’s idea of roughing it was booking a 5-star resort without a spa. Ozni did not even know what a motel was until he met one of Dad’s girlfriends. Losing the internet for more than an hour or two turned him into a jonesing addict. So, when he announced he was going camping, his assistant’s head about exploded. “Are you sure, Mister Adebayo?” The responding grin is blinding. “As a mountain goat. Set tasers to stun, Sulu.”

It was for a good cause. One of his buddies agreed to donate $10k for every hour he spent on the island. This money would go into some BS fund for environmental causes. This kind of stuff was what his audience would eat right up. And, most of them wouldn’t question why he didn’t just spot the bill himself. After a few weeks of planning, Ozni set out for his little slice of paradise.

One solar generator and a custom-built yurt later, he kicked his feet back on a bespoke coffee table. The sand below his feet was replaced by a high-end mat. A projector turned one wall of the structure into an oversized TV screen. Of course, when on screen, he appeared to be roughing it. A windblown tent rested at one corner of the screen. Currently, he stood over a pile of conveniently placed brush. An axe rested on his arm. A text was sent over wi-fi as he turned to his Porygon-Z. “Ready, set, film!”

With a grunt, Ozni brought the axe down in a wide arc. It parted like butter. His techno music grew in volume, sending birds flying from their nests.

A tourism company that advertised a survival trip to one of the region's many islands sounded... Sketchy at best, but Yuina wasn't under contract to take one of these trips advised by the agency perse... Instead she was tasked with making a trip to an island to check things over, given the many disturbances that had happened within the region over the last couple of months...[break]
If the agency couldn't ensure that their clientele wouldn't run into Paradox Pokemon, Tera Crystals, Power Spots or other unintentional dangers well... That wasn't good for business.[break][break]
Sat astride Daikenki's shoulders, Yuina and the Samurott made the trip out from Mossdeep Island and into the open ocean where many small islands remained. Checking her maps, they navigated to the island in particular that she was sent to recon, and before much longer Daikenki made land and walked up the shore. Yuina helped herself down from the Samurott's back, stepping foot on the sandy beach of the small island, looking around and starting to assess the beach.[break][break]
"Alright, we'll do a perimeter sweep first, and then head inland. We just need to make sure that nothing exceedingly dangerous is here," Yuina remarked, shuffling along through the sand to begin their trek, that was until a deafening sound echoed through the trees, startling both her and Daikenki.[break]
"What was that," she breathed, it sounded... Metallic? Almost like a screech? That... Wasn't good... Surely it was one of those metal Pokemon, the paradoxes had emerged on this island...[break][break]
Running now through the trees with Daikenki at her side and Nyla swinging from branch to branch, Yuina and her Pokemon raced in the direction of the noise, prepared for the worst...

That noise continued at irregular intervals as Ozni pretended to part out the tree. The dull blade bit into the moist wood as he tugged it back and forth. With a grunt of exertion, he finally pulled it free. A shit-eating grin turned to the camera, “How’s the shot?” The Porygon-Z holding it let its head whirl around in a circle. It made a series of unintelligible beeps. “I thought it looked pretty good.” It shifted irritably from side to side—obviously, it wasn’t impressed.

With a deep breath, the CEO took another swing. This time, the blade dipped past its polished edge. Splinters exploded from the wound as he let it hit. It felt like he’d made some headway! But, this time, it didn’t want to come out. Sweaty hands tugged at the oak handle for purchase. A sandalled foot pressed against the smooth bark for leverage. “Come on, you little brat!” He seethed. "Come to Daddy!"

When Yuina burst through the trees, she’d find herself staring at a six-pack. But that sight was soon interrupted by a high-pitched scream as Oz stumbled backward. “AH!” The axe went with him, its handle thudding against the ground. The blade came to a rest against his feet. His heart pounded a million miles a minute.

Slowly, the world swam back into focus as the imagined horror—some yeti thing—turned into a brunette. Which, according to some people, was scarier. His cheeks reddened as he flicked his gaze to Glitch-626. “You didn’t get that, right?” In response, the normal type just fritzed out.

Waving him off, Ozni approached the ranger. His arms folded across his chest. “Interns usually come in from the other direction.” Normally upbeat, there was a child to his voice. Were the tropics sapping his employee's brain cells?
