Today was going to be a big day, the tournament was in full swing, and Yuina was excited to do what she could together with Daikenki to make waves in the tournament ranks. She had a whole list of rounds set up, each one she was sure would be just as exciting as the last, and it was time for another round to get started as she was called to the field.[break][break]
Yuina walked out with Dainkenki beside her, his helmet polished and his seamitars resting in the sheaths of his arms, looking out to their opponent on the other side. She could swear he looked familiar, no one that she had met yet officially... Perhaps a passing glance from somewhere?[break]
"I'm Yuina! I can't wait for our match," she introduced, ready to take her next match underway!

Paxton nodded to his opponent as he took the stage with her. His Mawilee, idly gnawing on a couple of small treats she'd been given due to how much they were rushing from fight to fight. [break][break]

"I'm paxton concordas , nice to meet you." he said giving the young woman a wave. "This is Conibear. She's a little eager, but overall pretty harmless off the field." he said as he nodded at his partner and she took steps forward to begin the fight.

Taking her side of the field as Daikenki stepped forward, Yuina looked to the strange Pokemon that Paxton introduced, she'd never seen anything like it. It had its own face and mouth and everything it looked like, but a giant set of gnawing teeth hung off of the back of its head... Like a separate head... It was a little disconcerting...[break][break]
"I've never seen a Pokemon like her before... I'm sure she's great in battle though, we'll probably find out," Yuina remarked, sending Daikenki forward, and the water type started off as he lunged forward with his blades unsheathed, ready to strike with a Ceaseless Edge, coming down with his seamitars.

Daikenki landed his hit, but the gleaming energy that surrounded the strange Pokemon in that moment proved to be effective, his strike didn't hit with near enough force to make a difference. Its defenses were powerful.[break]
The Samurott barked, shifting stances and taking up his blades again, lunging forward with a Sacred Sword to keep up his blows, and definitely to keep the gnawing jaws at arms length for sure.[break][break]
New to Hoenn? Only... Kind of, still... How long before she could say that she wasn't new to the region, that she was integrated enough? Yuina wondered for a moment, but still, he looked awfully familiar, was he... Was he at the league party perhaps?[break][break]
"Are you a league representative? Were you at the party in Mossdeep," Yuina wondered.

After taking the defensive stance, the gnawing Pokemon was quick to retaliate as the gaping maw at the back of its head turned to swing and grab a bite out of Daikenki. The Samurott moved with his blades again, meeting the jaws in a grasp of teeth against sword, before pushing out of the hold. Daikenki barked, preparing a Swords Dance at the force of pushing himself off and away from the snapping maw, ready again and moving forward to strike with Razor Shell.
