Things were lining up in the tournament nicely, and Yuina really felt like she was getting involved in the sport and fun of it all as she made sure to get signed up for her entries. She was ready to do everything that she could and work really hard with Daikenki to have fun and do well together, and she really felt like she had the chance to do that.[break][break]
Their next round getting started, Yuina made her way out to the field with the Samurott beside her, and looking out to their opponent for this new phase, she recognized him, they'd met briefly before already![break]
"Hey! Noel right? We met at the aquarium," Yuina smiled, happy to see a familiar face, and what a way for them to really get to know each other! This was going to be fun.

Now this was a surprise. He always wondered what became of the young lady after that day at the aquarium. It was a valuable experience for him and his Milotic that day and if it weren't for her, they might have never had it in the first place. He wanted to repay her for spending that day with him, but that would have to be for another day, he supposed. For now however, they both came here with a different goal in mind. This tournament caused them to not view each other as friends, but rivals, both wanting to win in a heartfelt battle. His Shaymin runs up from behind up and places itself on its side of the arena, ready and eager to fight. The size difference between the two Pokemon differed greatly, but that wouldn't intimidate neither Noel or his Pokemon.[break][break]

"Yuina! Of course! How could I forget, that day was a lot of fun, and I'm glad to see your Samurott as well. This is not where I expected to see you though, but a battle's the best place to get to know each other. At least I think so."[break][break]

Having worked through a handful of matches in the tournament already, Yuina was quickly realizing that the defensive capabilities that Daikenki's new Tera Type could take on was truly a blessing, she remembered seeing a Shaymin before, and they were a grass type if she recalled. Truly, Daikenki was primed for being able to handle one of his own weaknesses, and she was thankful.[break][break]
"That day was a lot of fun, it gave Daikenki and I a chance to... Reconnect, and I was really thankful for it," Yuina smiled, taking her side of the field and motioning the Samurott forward.[break]
"I'm sure we'll have a great match here, and whatever happens, lets have fun another time too, okay," Yuina inquired, hoping that regardless of the battle to come, she and Noel could have another fun day to hang out together. With that though, the officials called for the battle start, and Yuina tapped the orb at her belt for Daikenki, and he shimmered in bright yellow crystal as he took on his Electric Tera.[break][break]
"Daikenki, go," she called, and the Samurott rushed forward with his seamitars unsheathed, ready to strike with an Aerial Ace in his first attack.

"Definitely. No matter what happens here, I hope there'll be no hard feelings between us. Let's give it our all and have a good time. After all that's what tournaments are supposed to be. And after this, we should wind down with some ice cream from a nearby shop."[break][break]

Seeing her Samurott take to the field and becoming enveloped in crystals that shimmered its body with a shiny glean, Noel's Shaymin proceeds to do the same. Taking on energy from Noel's Tera orb and having its small frame take on the shiny crystals, it would now fully transform into its Grass Tera.[break][break]

Noel smiled back to Yuina, these were the moments he lived for. To engage in friendly matches against fellow trainers was something extremely joyful to his very being, like it was his calling. With the match now begun, Yuina's Samurott quickly takes the first move and soars through the arena with amazing speed, cutting through the air with its blades with them ultimately landing a fair blow against the hedgehog, causing it to recoil backwards, landing on its feet. Wanting to repay the attack back in full, it would lunge forward with all its strength and Zen Headbutt against the mighty beast. Hoping to land a decent hit against it.[break][break]

Both shimmering in Tera Energy, the two Pokemon clashed in a brilliant display of shimmering crystal as Daikenki's blades met the Shaymin's head strong attack. This would surely be a match to remember, if this was how it was starting out. Neither Pokemon were ready to back down from the start of the fight, it was time to keep going.[break][break]
"Daikenki, kage," Yuina called, and the Samurott pushed away from the impact to meld into the shadows with a Shadow Sneak hoping to gain a vantage point. The Samurott lunged from the depths and emerged again with his blades, moving to strike with a Ceaseless Edge.

As the Samurott disappeared from the arena, Noel's Shaymin would look from side to side in order to determine just where it would strike next. What it didn't expect, however, was that from beneath, something sinister lurked. As the shadowy figure struck from below, the grass-type is struck right against its stomach, being sent flying through the air through sheer force. It then began to fall unresponsive towards the ground, only waking up to realize the situation it was now in. Not wanting to be one-upped like this, it would land onto the Samurott's back and strike back with its own signature move. A Seed Flare striking from on top of the beast, waves of green energy lashing out in retaliation.[break][break]

Lunging from the shadows, landing his strike, Daikenki hissed and barked as the small grass type came back down and landed on his back, trying to attack within the impossibly close vantage point. His smooth, sleek fur should prove effective as the Samurott rushed and threw himself to the ground, landing on the shells on his shoulder and arm, trying to throw the Shaymin off of his back.[break]
And given the moment of freeing himself from the close proximity of the waves of the grass type attack rushing over the battlefield, Daikenki slashed through the energy with Aerial Ace, looking to strike the Shaymin with each swipe.

Unable to keep its hold on the mighty Samurott's back, it is assuredly thrown off after only doing minimal damage. This opponent proved to be much more difficult than the pair of trainer and Pokemon had anticipated. What was even worse was the follow-up attack, the Shaymin is struck once more by the water-type's blades and sent flying across the arena. Splatting against the ground it seemed all was lost.[break][break]

"Come on Shaymin get back up! We're not out of it just yet!"[break][break]

A surge of power begins to swell up from inside the small hedgehog. As it began to slowly stand back on its feet, a rush of adrenaline flows throughout its body. With a battle cry so loud that the citizens of Lilycove started to spectate the ordeal in awe, it would plant its feet before firing off a gigantic Solar Beam headed straight towards its foe. If they were able to land this shot then a chance for comeback was surely on the rise.

The little Pokemon was putting up such a hefty fight, it really proved that big things came in small packages. Even as it was thrust across the battlefield, it had the gusto to keep going as it began to draw in the energy of the sun above them. It was really a special Pokemon.[break]
"Your Shaymin is really something Noel, I hope you two can train together for a really long time," Yuina encouraged, just because the battle seemed to be going one way didn't mean that it couldn't change in an instant. And that could happen just then as the Solar Beam came down through the arena. Daikenki rushed forward, trying to slash through the sun's energy with his blades, working to try and land one more strike with Aerial Ace.

Noel appreciated the kind words. Over the short time he and his Shaymin had met, they had formed a bond closer than he could have envisioned since meeting the little guy. He hoped that their adventures would continue on and to have more heart-racing battles just like this one.[break][break]

"Thank you, I could say the same to you and your Samurott. Ever since I saw you two in that museum, I knew that you both were meant to journey together."[break][break]

As the Samurott kept the offensive going, Noel's Pokemon would have to think fast if they wanted to survive this match any longer. As the towering creature galloped forward, deflecting the beam with ease, the hedgehog would try and fire off some Energy Balls try and steer the water-type away. This, however, was futile as soon the Samurott lands another clean hit that would blow back the Shaymin, causing it splat onto the ground after careening off into the air.

Hmm... Yuina contemplated Noel's words, he didn't know the implications of what he'd said and what it meant to her, but it was another notion that being lost to time was something that was supposed to happen to her... Was she meant to find Daikenki in that far away place? Were they destined to travel through time and space to find each other again and become one? She had really started to wonder...[break][break]
"Thank you Noel... That's really kind of you to say, we'll make sure we never disappoint," she returned.[break][break]
The flurry of Energy Balls was enough to give Daikenki pause as he tried to dodge the onslaught, and the Shaymin was able to get out of the immediate line of attack. Daikenki barked, slashing through a particular Energy Ball before rushing again, aiming to catch up to the small hedgehog and slash with Ceaseless Edge.

While he talked big, his performance, in this battle, was something else entirely. While he and his Shaymin had done their best so far, Yuina and her Samurott displayed much more skill in this fight. They'd have to train together even more once this match was done, and ask for a rematch at a later point in time. But just because their loss is inevitable, that doesn't mean they should go out without trying one more time.[break][break]

"You definitely haven't disappointed me during this fight. It's been a blast Yuina, and now we're going to use everything we've got!"[break][break]

In a move of desperation, although they had used up so much energy in this fight already, the fire lit in their heart grew ever stronger. Not wanting to be defeated so easily, the Shaymin absorbs much more energy into its body than it can handle, and when that power grows into a frenzy, it lets loose one last Solar Beam to finish the fight. The beam much wider and larger than any laser it had ever produced before, they would at least go out with a bang.

The battle was coming down to the wire, Noel and his Shaymin had done valiant work together, but the vital equipment that tracked the stats of the battle showed that the Shaymin only had one more hit left... And as it absorbed an obscene amount of sunlight, glowing brighter than the tera energy that enveloped both Pokemon, Daikenki hissed as he ducked into the remaining shadows before they disappeared entirely.[break]
In that moment, with no target and the beam dispersing, Daikenki found his opening and struck once more as he lunged from the shadows. And the battle was called.[break][break]
"That was incredible Noel, it was a really awesome battle, I'm glad we had the opportunity," Yuina thanked as Daikenki moved back to her at the call of the match.
