Gazing fiercely towards his opponent on the other side of the Arena, Noel would clutch his Pokeball tightly in his hand. His foe today was someone he had so far only heard about through various reports on known Rocket members. Easily recognizing him from the pictures he had been shown, he knew the man before him was an enemy. As much as he would love to bring him in to the League, he had to adhere to the tournament rules and not cause a scene that would endanger others around them. For now, he would have to play dumb and act as if he was none the wiser. Sending out his partner Shaymin out onto the field, the grass-type shared the same feelings as its trainer, snarling at its opponent with an anger building up inside it. They could not afford to lose.[break][break]

"Well what have we here? Sorry I don't know what's gotten into my partner here. I guess we both just have a bad feeling about this fight. But lets have a good match, and may the better person win."[break][break]

For his part, Tempest was in disguise. It was only his own fault it was a poor one. It had just been a matter of time before someone recognized who he really was.[break][break]

For now, he was fine. Just ambling about the Tournament like anyone else, even following all the rules. His plans would came later in the day when he met up with oscar clayton and some of the others.[break][break]

So, when Noel Parker and his pokemon seem so aggressive, Tempest just raises a brow and seems confused. But, he shrugs it off, accepting the excuses given by the other at face value.[break][break]

"No problem, dude. Hati here is a wildcard, too." He scratches the Eevee on the cheek before jerking his chin, the little fox scrambling off his shoulder from where she had been resting. She walked forward to sniff at the Shaymin curiously before barking high and loud, her fluffy tail wagging slowly.

The Eevee's friendliness must be some sort of trick to get Noel and his Shaymin to become more at ease. He knew Rocket would use whatever underhanded tactic to get any sort of advantage against others. Well it wouldn't work on him. He saw right through their ruse, tapping the Tera orb that was placed on his hip, causing a swirl of energy to envelop over his Pokemon, changing it into its Grass Tera.[break][break]

"Hmm, well maybe they might get along. But for now we've got a match to do. I hope you're ready because here we go."[break][break]

With the battle having now officially started, the hedgehog begins with quick shots of Energy Balls, a test to see just how agile their opponent was, and if they would counteract with someone on their end.

Hati just yipped again, leaning in to sneak a quick lick of the Shaymin's nose before darting away to start the battle. She wiggled her rump, eager, one last playful yip given as the battle truly started.[break][break]

One of the Energy Balls hit, but it only served to pop the Purified Disguise shielding her body. Hati was a very unusual Eevee, her parents being Shadow pokemon. While she had never been one, she still retained some of their odd lineage.[break][break]

But that was only one of many.[break][break]

"Hati!" Temp called from the side, followed by a sharp and quick whistle. The Eevee's ears twitched backwards before she, too, started to glow with crystalline energy. White crystals collected on her body to match the Shaymin's, a Normal Tera Type. She yipped, flames crackling in her jaws before she tried to pour out a Burning Jealousy on the grass type.[break][break]

This Eevee was quite the unusual one. Playful and excited, it contrasted the trainer standing behind it. Noel thought to himself how the Pokemon would possibly be more suited under the care of someone under League, perhaps even himself. The Shaymin is left stunned after its attack from the sudden lick. Never before had a match started like that and it didn't know what to make of it. The hedgehog puts these thoughts back into its mind as now the normal-type mimics its Tera power-up. But not only that, an inferno soon rages on and threatens to burn at it.[break][break]

"Don't let that get any near you!"[break][break]

It was easier said than done. Fire spit out from the Eevee's mouth projected out into multiple directions. The arena was soon filled with the berserk fire and Noel's Pokemon tries its best to get out of the way. Not much luck is had, however, as soon its unable to keep up and its fur is singed from a mere touch of the attack. If they wanted to put a stop to this, they would have to do it now. Sending an Earth Power coursing through the ground, it would appear underneath their opponent. Jagged rock would spiral out like spears upwards against their foe, hopefully they didn't see it coming.

Spires of rock shot up from the ground, snagging Hati. She yelped, shaking herself off with a crystalline noise. The white clarity of her fur, thanks to the Tera, reflecting small glimmers of rainbow light. But she wasn't down and out, oh no.[break][break]

"Close the gap!" Tempest called from the sidelines. Hati yipped in affirmation before darting at the Shaymin, hopping over the rock. Her body wavered into a three-way copy before she did her best to slam into the Shaymin with a Normal boosted Veevee Volley.[break][break]

While their last attack was a massive success, already their foe had something planned out for their next move. The Eevee sprinted forward in a mirage formation. The Shaymin couldn't tell just which one was real and stood confused as to what to do. [break][break]

"If they want to get up close and personal... Then we will too!"[break][break]

Now was not the time for doubt. They had to just choose one to deal with and hope for the best. Getting ready for a full speed sprint, it launches itself away towards their foe, a mystical energy gathering around the front end of the hedgehog. It aimed itself for the middle of the three clones, smacking head-to-head against each other with a Zen Headbutt. From the recoil, it staggers backwards after their reckless endeavor. If they had chosen correctly, then this would be a huge step towards their victory. But if not, then they still had a long road ahead of them.

The Zen Headbutt slammed true, making Hati cringe backwards and shake her head out. The Energy from her Volley was still released, however, which was all she could ask for.[break][break]

Shaking her head to clear the spots from her vision from the attack, she lunged forward before the doubles had even faded. Since she couldn't focus down on a solid area, she blew out a sudden Frost Breath at the vaguely green-and-white shape of the Shaymin.

Their foe was able to recover much faster than Noel's Shaymin. Not getting any time to rest, its soon afflicted with the icy breath that filled the air all around the hedgehog. Bits and pieces of crystallized ice forms around the grass-type, locking its legs in place making it unable to escape. Soon its entire frame is encapsulated in this cold prison. Like a work of art at a museum, it stays almost lifeless and unmoving.[break][break]

Noel clenched his teeth. This was not he wanted to end this battle. To lose to Rocket would be disgraceful to both him and the League. But, when he thought all hope was lost, a trembling could be felt all throughout the arena. At the epicenter was the frozen in time Shaymin. A bright glow glistened off its body that was made all the more sharper from the ice. Suddenly it cracks, and waves of grass projectiles shoot out towards their foe as the Shaymin is able to break free from its cage. This was their last shot, and this desperation move just had to work. It was now or never.

Hati hopped from foot to foot, pleased with her work. She was about to turn and run back to Tempest for celebratory pats, but a low whistle had her pause in place.[break][break]

Then the ice started to rumble.[break][break]

A powerful grass attack, a last act of desperation, rocketed her backwards. She pushed herself to her feet and shook herself off, growling lightly. She rushed for the Shaymin, paw raised to attack-[break][break]

Only to vanish into the shadows of the ground.[break][break]

This was it. The closing act to this long and nail-biting battle. And one that the opponent hoped to win through a trick. Having vanished into the darkness, it remains undetected for a moment, the Shaymin unable to ascertain just where the strike would come from next. In hopes of dragging their foe out, it absorbs grass energy from the surrounding plants and fields around the battlefield. Once ready, it unleashes this power with a Solar Beam aimed upwards towards the sky, breaking through the cloudy weather and having the sun spotlight on them. Illuminating the surrounding area, it would forcefully drag their foe out of hiding with no shadows to sneak through. [break][break]

Once the Eevee would emerge, it would swing the laser down like a sword onto the furry Pokemon. This was their ace in the hole, and if it couldn't connect, there was no hope left for the pair to win any longer.

The Shaymin stood triumphant over the other challenger. The Eevee laid defeated on the ground while the hedgehog, with its head held up high, looked to its trainer in recognition of this achievement. Noel looks to his partner with an approving nod. The buzzer from their Vital Gears announce the outcome of the match with Noel as the victor and he smirks to himself at a job well done for the two of them.[break][break]

But now came the awaited time. Tempest Quinn was a renowned Rocket member and Noel couldn't just let him go. He was set on turning this man in to the League and the proper authorities. However this enemy would more than likely not make it easy for him. He was prepared for a full-on battle should the need arise.[break][break]

"Hey! I'd like to speak a few words with you..."[break][break]

Slowly he began his advance towards Temp, making sure not to make any sudden moves as to not give away his goal. But should the need arise, he would sprint forward at any moment in order to capture him.
