From up ahead, Noel could tell that this fight would be an interesting one. While the two had never met, his opponent gave off the same hotheadedness and arrogance as he himself did. A certain aura was radiating off the man that he couldn't describe, he would have to learn just what it was through today's battle. With a smirk running across his face, he sends out his Shaymin that patiently waits for whatever Pokemon the stranger would choose as their partner.[break][break]

"I don't think we've ever met, I'm Noel. Here I thought I knew everyone in this tournament but color me surprised. I'm ready if you are, let's give it our best."[break][break]

Yet something about them had Noel's mind itching for more. Had they met before?

While a Pikachu would more than likely be the least of his worries, in this tournament setting he would have to expect the unexpected. With its trainer towering over their Pokemon, Aaron seemed like the type to get along with everyone. Chuckling lightly at his remark, Noel assumes his harsh tone was more playful than harmful. [break][break]

"Good luck to you as well, now I hope you don't mind if I get this started."[break][break]

With the command to begin, his Shaymin kicks off the match with its entire body becoming crystallized with green Tera energy coming from the Tera orb on Noel's belt. Powered up and raring to go, it shoots off an Energy Ball as a light warning shot against the yellow rat.

[break][break]aaron folds his arms against his chest, watching with his head tilted as the shaymin crystalizes with the power of Noel Parker 's tera orb. he fiddles with his dynamax band as the grass-type gathers a ball of energy and fires it at his pikachu. [break][break]she tries to dive away, but the attack still strikes her side. she tumbles over, then rights herself. electricity sparks from her cheeks in anger, but aaron activates his band before she can retaliate. the electric-type grows and grows until she towers over both trainers, round and immovable. [break][break]aaron lowers his eyes from his pikachu to noel, then smiles in a wordlessly smug way at him as the air crackles with a thunderbolt.[break][break]

Noel watched in awe as the Pikachu became something much more than it was, a hulking beast of a mouse which inexplicably grew not only size, but body weight. Never before had he seen such a phenomenon and he wondered if this was a new discovery in the city while he was away. He had no time to think about such things, soon the air surged with lightning as a Thunderbolt threatened to spell his Shaymin's demise. Thankfully due to its small size, it was a hard target to pinpoint and was able to barely move out of the way in time, yet with its fur standing on edge due to the electricity running through the air.[break][break]

"Just what is that... I hope you'll be able to teach me how that's done Aaron because it would be quite handy in my line of work."[break][break]

Noel looks back to Aaron and gives a surprised smile back, mistaking his smugness for friendly rivalry. His Shaymin, now having to take on a much bigger foe than it had anticipated, got on the offensive. Standing in place with power coursing through its body, it would summon an Earthly Power to rise up from beneath the giant Pikachu. The ground beneath it rising up like spears to do as much damage as it could against the creature.

"oh, that?" aaron thumbs towards the behemoth pikachu. "yeah, i could maybe show you a thing or two about it later."[break][break]he keeps it cool and noncommittal even if he's pogging out on the inside. someone wants to be learn about something from him? an extremely rare occurrence. it's also a rare occurrence for aaron to be losing already, but here he is. getting beat up by a chia pet of all things. [break][break]
unable to move in her gigantamax form, pikachu can only tank the hit from the earth power. in retaliation, she swiftly raises a fist and smashes it down to try and hit the shaymin with a quick attack.

While the Shaymin's attack certainly caused some damage, it was not enough to fell the monster. Perhaps out of anger, the titan's fist would smash directly against the floor where Shaymin once stood. With quick thinking, Noel's Pokemon would jump up onto the arm of the Pikachu and climb its way up. Running along the forearm as if it were a steep mountain, it finally reaches the summit and leaps forward once more with a Zen Headbutt, spiraling its body towards the Pikachu's forehead.[break][break]

"Are you all right there friend? Do let me know if it becomes too much to handle."[break][break]

His arrogant side had started to show. He was beginning to enjoy himself too much in this almost one-sided battle. But this pompous behavior could spell his demise if he wasn't careful.

aaron shouldn't be surprised that a pokemon so small (and wimpy) could be such an annoying opponent to fight against. his pikachu is typically pretty small and nimble, so he and his rat are at a loss of how to maneuver a fight where she can't move very well. she straightens up as shaymin crawls up her arm, uselessly waving it to send it flying into the next city, but the zen headbutt connects. [break][break]she lets out a low piii and draws in energy, lighting up with electricity before she discharges it throughout the battlefield.[break][break]meanwhile, aaron, squinting against his giant lightbulb's brilliance, says: "don't worry about me, bud, this was just a warmup."

Stuck in the air, the Shaymin was a sitting duck that couldn't move away in time. The storm of electricity filled the air around it as it's shocked and sent crashing down to the ground. Slowly rising back up to its feet, the small creature was shocked as an aftermath of the attack, its body becoming slightly unresponsive to its commands. Still, it began to store up energy from inside, until just enough had been gathered and opened its mouth, a Solar Beam being shot against the Pikachu's stomach. [break][break]

"Hmph, you may have gotten us there, but it's far from over. Let's see how you handle this!"[break][break]

This new transformation before his eyes was starting to become more of a nuisance to him. All his attacks seemed to be ineffective, he'd have to wear it out and hope a weakness would show itself somewhere.

Their attack just wasn't enough. As his Shaymin kept the beam steady and for as long as it could, it wasn't able to withstand all the energy it was outputting. It soon begins to tire out, the laser diminishing until there was nothing left, then suddenly, a roar of thunder comes crashing down against the little hog. It stumbles around, unable to find its footing after that massive attack and finally falls to the floor, seemingly defeated.[break][break]

"Come on Shaymin! Get back up! You can do it!"[break][break]

With the words of its trainers entering its ears, the grass-type slowly but surely rises back up to the occasion. Determined to see this through to the end, it would charge up one more devastating attack. A Seed Flare shooting out from its body with its wavy projectiles headed straight for the monstrous Pikachu once again. Aaron had put them on the back foot, and hopefully this was enough to turn the tides back.

Noel Parker 's encouragement is like smelling salts beneath the hedgehog's nose, rousing it back into battle. In a last ditch effort to end this match once and for all. The Shaymin would follow up its attack with one more Zen Headbutt. As it charged forward once more, aiming to smack its body up against the engorged Pikachu's body. However, along the way, a Thunderbolt manages to strike at the tinier Pokemon, causing its attack to bounce back from the stomach of the beast. It's sent flying back, hitting the ground roughly as its legs laid splat across the floor. All seemed lost for the blue-haired trainer and his Pokemon.[break][break]

"Come on Shaymin... I know you've got this!"[break][break]

Struggling to even open its eyes back up, the grass hedgehog would love nothing more than to rest and leave the battle behind. Yet that would be unfitting for the warrior. With its legs buckling under its own weight, somehow, against all odds, it manages to stand back up once more. However, it was only a matter of time before it fell once more. Noel and his Shaymin awaited eagerly to see if their foe would submit first.

the zen headbutt strikes true. like a tree on the verge of toppling over, pikachu rocks back on her heels and then slowly falls backwards onto her haunches. aaron takes a few steps backwards as precaution, but the aftershock of her landing almost makes him eat shit too.[break][break]even without his vital gear, aaron can tell his pikachu is losing steam. [break][break]"grrr ... " aaron growls under his breath,
then levels a pointed index finger at the shaymin. "thunderbolt again!"[break][break]with a clap of thunder, the lightning strikes out. [break][break]
