[break][break] Fernando may not have been one for talking but he didn't mind. After all, the Head Ranger was used to talking by himself. Especially when he'd had to teal with quiet types like Laurence Anderson and Razz Kingsman for so long.

a PROTECT repels the brutal swing of PIKACHU’s IRON TAIL. the cleaving arc shatters the barrier almost instantly, nailing the GLALIE with a direct hit to its side. it flies backward, several paces, as it sputters into a controlled spin.

damage is done but the pokemon looks no different. a sharp glare haunts it’s uniform teeth as a seeping BLIZZARD bellows forward.

[attr="class","textbody"] It doesn't work as effectively as it does for FERNANDO SILPH, but it does the job. When Tofu acts, slashing out with a molten silver tail, it clashes against a protective barrier and causes the Pikachu to skid backwards slightly against the pavement.

[break][break] Lilycove's sunlight is bright and beaming despite it being January, but that quickly ends with the BLIZZARD cuts through the air and rattles the Pikachu into winterfrost.

[break][break] Oh shoot.

[break][break] "Shake it off, Tofu! Counter with Electro Ball!"

[break][break] Electricity coils in the air in the form of a bright ball of light, which is slapped by the Pikachu's tails as it attempts to sear across the arena and knock the Glalie from the air like a bowling pin.

AN ELECTRO BALL BLITZ THROUGH FRIGID AIR. snowflake melt in its wake as a blur of yellow cuts across an expanse of white and blue. it strikes the GLALIE front and center, true to form, and cuts the attack right then and there.

a sputtering jaw clamps shut in defiance as the pokemon steels itself for another attack. this time, it charges forward, looking to latch on with a more secure CRUNCH.

[break][break] Recovering from it's attack, the Glalie's rebuttle comes in the form of a CRUNCH. Or at least it tries to, but Tofu is quick to dodge, zigzagging aroudn those knife-sharp teeth. A DISCHARGE pulsates out of him, an explosion of power, to end the battle before those jaws can ever clamp down.

[break][break] Ollie blinks, startled by the outcome of the match, when all is settled.

[break][break] "We... won?" he asks, then glances down at his Pikachu with a grin. "We won!"

[break][break] He cheers and hollers before jogging around the field to slap the Councilman on the back.

[break][break] "Hey. Does that mean we get your badge now?" he joked.
