One of the largest banking institutions in the region had their concerns on security, in particular finding reason to believe that their building and business practices were being cased. No suspects had been apprehended, and there was no discerning evidence as to when a potential attack could take place, so it was necessary that for a given time...[break]
Extra security precautions were taken.[break][break]
The cash shipment for replenishing funds within the institution had just come through the day before, and it would have been thought that an attack would take place then as the money was transferring hands and more out in the open, but no such thing happened. It may have all been a ruse, or a trial to see what kind of security could take place in the event of suspicion, but business as usual took place the day after.[break][break]
Yuina remained within the large building, stationed for her turn in being security for the building. The managers and higher ups may have thought that the intended attack missed its window, but they felt that another day or two of increased security was necessary, just in case.[break]
She wore plain clothes, another patron visiting the building for the day, but lurking in her shadows beneath her, Daikenki kept a silent vigil, the Samurott hidden by his Shadow Sneak and undetectable otherwise. And in the normalcy of the business day, no one suspected the sudden onslaught of intruders and their Pokemon.[break][break]
The most brash of the intruders moved to encroach upon a young woman, their Houndoom seething with burning fire, and just when it might have gone in for a second attack, the shadows beneath its paws crept out from its figure. From the dark depths a large Samurott lunged with blades bared, slashing at the offending fire type and giving the right pause for Yuina to step forward.[break][break]
While she was not wearing her ranger's uniform, she did now have her armband and badge displayed, standing beside a looming Garchomp that slashed its claws together.[break][break]
"Step away from her. You all have one chance to return your Pokemon and stand down," Yuina spoke, her tone even, and her gaze upon them all terse. Daikenki and Asu both waited, fixated on various targets, fangs bared and poised to strike.

Making her appearance as a ranger, standing up to the goons that were planning on robbing the institution, Yuina certainly hadn't expected them to run out at the first sign of trouble, but she hadn't expected things to escalate as quickly as they did either. Seeing a league ranger should have given them all pause, though she herself might not be the most intimidating person out there, her Pokemon certainly fit the bill at least.[break]
She may have had the majority of their attention, maybe they were almost considering weighing their options, but it turned out that they thought there would be power in the numbers that they had amongst each other as they began to circle in on her. And then one of them was on the ground, his Houndoom snarling with flames licking at the sides of its jowls... The woman she stepped in to defend just punched one of them... This definitely wasn't going to end quietly now...[break][break]
She released a Swampert, and while Yuina appreciated the effort, she glanced around... At the very expensive banking instution they were inside of... And all of the Pokemon that were getting ready to start a fight... This became so much more complicated so much more quickly than she thought...[break][break]
"Okay look, nothing has to happen, and no one has to get hurt if you get out, now. If not, you will be leaving by force," Yuina spoke evenly, bidding her Pokemon still in that moment, to not insight any sudden moves... Everything was at a stand still, if she could avoid it she did not want to be the cause of any serious collateral damage in this moment...[break]
"Don't do anything sudden... We can't risk getting anyone hurt...," Yuina spoke quietly, in hopes that her newest accquaintance would adhere to the very delicate situation they were in... Though... She did just punch someone out...

In that split second, that one moment, where Yuina could swear she could hear her heart beating in her ears, willing everything to fall still so she could get the situation under control, it all fell apart. The Houndoom attacked first, and then the woman that stepped into the fight was all in. Attacks began to fly, and Yuina knew it was only a matter of seconds before the worst of this came to fruition.[break][break]
"Wait! Don't," she tried to call, but the two Pokemon that the other woman had called out started in on the offensive, and the rest of the robbers that had come in for the attack were closing in. This all got super out of hand really really quickly... Yuina had to think fast, Asu and Daikenki were starting to attack, she had to get them out of the building, they couldn't risk an entire fight like this inside...[break][break]
"Asu, Daikenki, start pushing them back," Yuina called, ducking out of the way of the oncoming attacks that started to fly through the building space, her two Pokemon lunging forward to start pushing back. Between Daikenki's swords and Asu's blades, anything would be hard pressed to push passed them, and they needed to start getting everything pushed back towards the large entrance doors as Yuina drew out two more Pokeballs.[break][break]
"Nyla, gather the civilians, get everyone out of the way," Yuina called, and the Sneasler that emerged from her ball hissed as she caught sight of the first handful of civilians that she could rush out of the way and towards the back end of the building.[break][break]
"Raja, get them out of here," came her last command, and the sizzling, crackling sound of electricity could be heard as the feline Zeraora charged up. True to form, his speed was blinding, and as swift as he could grab a hold of the first goon he came into contact with, they were gone, raced and tossed out of the building before he came back for more.[break][break]
"And you, make sure no one gets hurt, help get everyone to the back of the building," Yuina called to the pink haired woman over the sounds of shouts and cries from Pokemon and goons being rushed out of the building. She could help, if she really wanted to, but Yuina had to make sure that she as a civilian didn't get hurt too. The less liability there was in the situation, the better, and once all of the goons and their Pokemon were out of the building, then it was really time to show them what's for.

The damage was already done, the handful of attacks that had been thrown through the building caused lights to shatter or scorch marks along the walls, gouges in the floor and the sprinkler system had been triggered as it showered down around them. So much for a clean exit...[break]
Yuina could at least be greatful that nothing serious had happened yet, and that there were no civilians that had been harmed... Hopefully that would be enough to count this as not a total failure on her part.[break][break]
Nyla worked with the allocated pink haired woman, gathering civilians and making sure everyone would stay where they were safe, knocking back the stray attack every so often that threatened one of her charges. The poison type glanced to the two Pokemon that were assisting, though her expression turned sour at being rained down upon by the sprinklers, whiskers puckering and a hiss on her fangs.[break][break]
Daikenki and Asu kept up the frontal assault while Raja helped each and every goon and Pokemon out of the building, and soon the building was clear, it was time to make sure it was secure. The woman who came to her aid called back to Yuina, all of the civilians were safe.[break][break]
"Thank you for your help, you stay safe too, don't let anyone in or out of the building until the authorities arrive," Yuina called as Daikenki and Asu rushed the last length out of the open doors to face the band of robbers that had been unceremoniously tossed out onto the street. Daikenki met blades with the horns of the Houndoom, and Asu slashed at a Crobat that fluttered into the fray, but as Raja and Nyla joined Yuina on the steps to the building, looking out to their adversaries. If she could help it, she needed to keep them here just for another moment or two, until the authorities got here...[break][break]
"Round them up Raja, no one leaves. We're all gonna hang out until the authorities can take them," Yuina called, and the Zeraora purred as his fur sparked, crackling with electricity before he sped off, quick as lightning, starting to make a quick perimeter to keep an eye on and pushing the robbers into a clean circle for him and Yuina's Pokemon to keep a close eye on.

All of the goons involved in the attempted robbery were contained within Raja's electric perimeter, or so Yuina had thought. While she and her Pokemon kept a close eye on the corrale in which only a couple of the robbers still felt like they had a chance until they were met with a raised blade from Daikeni or a posion laced claw from Nyla, there was still one last adversary out there.[break][break]
Likely some lookout, or a way to get their spoils away as quickly as possible, Yuina turned and looked at the sound of a screech from above. One last robber and a Fearow raced down from the air, coming towards the steps of the building and likely would have made an attempt to get inside, but in the moment that Yuina would have made a call for attack, she found the pink haired woman taking a stand.[break]
In some quick wisps of wind from the Beautifly, the Fearow was felled and effectively stuck to the ground at the webbing the bug offered, and it was at that moment that the authorities rounded the corner. All foes had been bested, and were ready to be taken in by the police that started to exit their vehicles. It was over.[break][break]
"Hey, thanks a lot," Yuina offered after a moment, once it was clear that no one would be able to escape. Her few Pokemon assisted the authorities in keeping an eye on each goon and their Pokemon, Raja seemed especially keen on watching to see if any one of them would make a run for it.[break]
"I'm sorry I didn't step in sooner, before they tried to get at you... but I really appreciate your help today," she nodded, while it was terrifying to think what could have happened if a civilian got hurt during all of this because she hadn't stood her ground to make sure that she was the only one involved in the instance, that was averted. Thank goodness.

One by one as the robbers and their Pokemon were detained, Yuina's own Pokemon relented and stood down, but still remained to keep an eye on things. The Houndoom that caused a lot of the trouble still barked and snarled, unwilling to stand down, but Asu the Garchomp flexed his scythes and glowered, daring the canine.[break][break]

Where Yuina was making the attempt to be kind and empathetic to the situation, help was help in any facet, she was at least thankful for the apology... Surely the woman had to understand what putting herself in a situation like that could accomplish? The situation itself wasn't dire necessarily, but if she inserted herself into another, much more official situation in the future, with the wrong officials around...[break][break]
"Mmm, just be a bit more careful in the future? These guys weren't going to be much in the way of the region's greatest threat but...," Yuina paused, she would hate to think what would happen if she crossed paths with some of the truly dangerous people she herself had already encountered...[break]
"There's just really dangerous things out there. No sense in getting needlessly hurt," she offered, and she could leave it at that truly. No need to go into any grueiling detail.[break][break]
"A cop? Oh no, I'm not a cop," Yuina almost laughed, the very idea was laughable. She wasn't cut out to be a cop, not in the slightest. Dealing with Pokemon dangerous or otherwise was much more her speed.[break]
"I'm a Ranger, we work close enough with the authorities in general though that it wasn't out of the question for a handful of us to be assigned to this situation," she returned, turning only just to show her blue armband and badge, her moniker of being part of the organization. Needed to have it visible for legal purposes after all.

One by one the criminals and their Pokemon were detained, and officials had started to move into the institution itself to start accounting for damages and losses, to get the employees and other civilians for statements and such. Things were wrapping up, but it would be a long while before everything was done. The clerical work was necessary.[break][break]
Yuina glanced out to her few Pokemon, they were making sure the last of the robbers were taken care of as the woman beside her spoke about getting an armband for herself.[break]
Yuina eyed her for a moment, she didn't sound particularly... inclined to wear the armband for the right reasons... But, it could very well be a joke... She hoped.[break][break]
"Well, this kind of work isn't the usual stuff for rangers, if that deters you at all," Yuina offered first, but it was given with a similar, musing smile. No need to get her hopes up if she intended to be involved with bank robberies more often.[break][break]
"Ranger work is more for the preservation of the environment and protecting the Pokemon of the region. Poaching, black market stings, weather disasters and relief efforts," she described, truly only an incredibly basic, surface level explanation of what her work involved.[break]
"If you're interested though, there's always room in the organization... Even volunteer work would never be turned away," she offered, if she was serious about it... Yuina looked up though, one of the officers calling for her.[break][break]
"Time for our statements, and then you're free to go? I've gotta stick around a while longer, but thanks again for your help today."
