Raju was up for another bout. So far, he'd been having fun with this tournament. Even if there was no real winner or reason for getting the most wins. The five foot six blonde stepped up to the next battlefield. With dark skies, he threw a pokeball, revealing his large, black, Paldean Blaze Breed Tauros. Big Bert had a red bullring in his nostrils. With a bow, Raju introduced himself. "Raju Mystic. And this Tauros is Big Bert. Ready whenever you are." The big bull roared and reared up, slamming back down his hooves on the field. The guy was having a blast at this tournament. So who was he to deny his bull such a fun time? The blonde awaited his opponent to step up and get ready.

With each match more exciting than the last, he wondered what kind of trainer he would be put up against next. Before even realizing it, his opponent had already introduced himself along with his Pokemon. Wondering just what kind of trainer they would turn out to be, he lets loose his Shaymin out onto the field, ready for battle.[break][break]

"My name's Noel Parker, its nice to meet you. I'll let you go ahead and have the first move."[break][break]

With a tap of his Tera accessory, his Shaymin suddenly transforms into its Grass Tera, now fully boosted and prepared for this fight.

The guy was very polite and nice. But what surprised Raju was the use of a very unusual and smol grassy Pokemon. It was very adorable, and Raju half wondered where the guy got it. Well, either way, he allowed Raju to have the first move. Nodding, he watched a very familiar phenominon. Terastialization. With a raised eyebrow, he had to ask before going into it. "Oh? From Paldea? I lived with my aunt in Levincia till recently." The blond looked at the crystal hat. Grass type Tera type. Well, still easy enough...hopefully. "BB, use Flame Charge!" The bull charged at full speed with lowered horns. They weren't glowing red, but he was still consumed in flames, inceasing his speed some. Much like with a previous fight, he hoped it would allow Big Bert to at least somewhat keep up with a smaller opponent. He still felt a little bad picking on a little guy, though...

The land of Paldea was quite a mystery to him. While he personally had never ventured to that land, he knew that the phenomenon of Terastalization originated from there. While not knowing the exact intricacies of the powerup, it was still useful altogether. [break][break]

"Oh no, not me. I was born and raised here all my life. Although I would love to see just what Paldea is like one day."[break][break]

The match was now underway. Raju's Tauros takes the initiative and begins its advance towards Noel's Pokemon. If they weren't careful, the Shaymin could easily be tossed aside from either their lit up horns or their trampling hooves. The size difference varied greatly as well, it would be tough to take on such a mighty foe from such a small perspective. But the impossible would have to be done, as it stands its ground, it lets loose multiple Energy Balls aimed at the bull while dodging swiftly to the side.

Noel responded that he never been to Paldea, having been born and raised here in Hoenn. Huh...interesting that the phenominon could be used here too. "It's nice. Do need to be careful about Wattrel and Kilowattrel taking your lunch at the beaches near Levincia." Aside from that, the beach was great! Moving on, it was soon time for business. Big Bert didn't dodge or turn swiftly, taking on a few Energy Balls head on. Even though the attack wasn't very effective, he was well aware that the terastil form enhanced attacks of the same type. To the point that even not very effective hits still hurt.

Big Bert tansitioned pretty well though, continuing the charge, but switching it up to the fire type Raging Bull, the flames around him more intense and still going after the little guy. It was a good opening move...but how long can it last?

The bull continued its assault even after the onslaught of projectiles that had met its mark. One touch of those flames and the Shaymin would surely be in for a world of pain. Once more it tries to dodge, but this time with not as much success. Its leg is struck by the fired up Tauros, causing it to swivel in the air and land roughly onto the ground.[break][break]

"Nice one. We've gotta be careful around that Pokemon of yours, fire is something pretty dangerous to play around with."[break][break]

While down on the floor, the little hedgehog would summon up an Earth Power that is sent crackling across the ground. The flooring beneath the Tauros soon starts to quake and tremble, caving in if Raju's Pokemon wasn't fast enough to evade out of the way.

The man complimented his Tauros. "BB can be a bit on the wild side. Still, cute little guys are not to be underestimated. Close Combat!" Big Bert obliged, closing in once more for a series of rapid strikes. However, an Earth Power sent the Paldean Tauros into the air, landing really hard on the ground. Raju flinched. That was...super effective to say the least. Appearances can be decieving, after all. Hence why he didn't underestimate cute little guys. Getting up, the bull definitely looked worse for wear. He wouldn't be able to continue this for long. Charging headlong, he still tried for the Close Combat. Knowing that the Shaymin had that kind of move though...Raju half-wondered if maybe he should call it in. He wasn't a coward, but it also wouldn't take much for the bull to be taken down at this point.

Seeing Raju acknowledge Shaymin for its skill made Noel smile. He was right, it wasn't about size or strength, but how well you and your Pokemon could work together that proved just how powerful a trainer and their companion could be. But it seemed like Raju and his Tauros were well on their path to making that sort of bond.[break][break]

The bull charged once more to even the odds. This time with a move so powerful that the Shaymin could not afford to take lightly. If they wanted to finish this fight, they would need to pull out all the stops. Jumping up in order to dodge the Tauros' assault, it lands straight on top of the beast's head, riding it as if they were part of a rodeo. As it buckled and heaved to loosen the hedgehog's grip, Noel's Pokemon would smack its head with a Zen Headbutt against their opponent's.[break][break]

The little guy jumped and landed on Tauros's head. Uh oh. Raju knew only Brownie was allowed on his big boy's head. The fact this stranger was there infuriated him, and really started to go wild trying to get the grassy guy up. To no avail. No matter what BB did, he couldn't shake it off! Then Shaymin did a Zen Headbutt. Once. Then a second time. Only then did his big boy finally go down, knocked out. That was a shame. Returning his Blaze Breed Tauros, Raju walked over to Noel with a hand stretched out for a handshake. An awknowledgement to the victor. If possible, the blond would also give the cute little Shaymin some chin scritches. With that, he was off to the Pokemon Center, with no words. Not down or anything, just felt like there was nothing to be said. He did half hope that he would meet Noel again in the future. If nothing else but for a rematch.

HP: 0/3 Raju lost.
