The day was already drawing to a close...Raju and Big Bert still hadn't had enough. They loved this! He so very much missed this during his hunt for the Orthrus gang, and eagerness to offer his abilities to them. Raju's last opponent gave him a warm smile and a brief introduction. With a nod, the short blond responded, though not really friendly, just respectful way. "Raju Mystic. And this is Big Bert." Throwing a pokeball, he revealed a large, Paldean Blaze Breed Tauros with a red bull ring through his nostrils. The big guy dug at the ground and lowered his horns, ready to start this match and enjoy the fight!

[attr="class","textbody"] "Hi Raju!" Ollie greeted cheerfully, only for his eyes to widen at the sight of the impressive Taurus. In colors that he'd never seen before. "Woah! Is that a Paldean Taurus?"

[break][break] There isn't much time for greetings, though, because the battle begins. The Pikachu on his shoulder leaps towards the center of the field, tail waving in greeting, before the announcer tells them to start.

The guy was so cheerful. It was also somewhat...contagious. The blonde could feel his own mood lightening up. At the explanation, the blonde nodded. "Blaze Breed specifically. There's three different kinds." He held up an arm with three fingers up to emphasize his point. He talked a lot with his movements in addition to his mouth sometimes. Okay, he let his actions do most of the talking in the first place. Soon, the battle was afoot. The Pikachu on Ollie's shoulder jumped in, and as soon as the announcer declared it, uncleashed a hard to dodge Discharge. So Raju didn't have Tauros dodge it. "Raging Bull." Horns glowing red and bursting into flames, the fierce looking Pokemon charged head on against the electricity. Raju could only hope that his bull was strong enough to power through and hit the Pikachu...but it was also a cute little guy. And cute little guys seem to have a major punch.

[break][break] Ollie didn't know a whole lot about other regions. After all, the only ones he'd been to include Hoenn, Kanto and Kalos. Though, he hoped to change that. One day, he hoped he'd be able to travel to Paldea and see all the cool pokemon that supposedly existed there.

[break][break] Well, for now, he supposed he'd have to be content with moments like this.

[break][break] "Dodge!" Ollie shouts, just in time too. The Pikachu darts around the flaming horns that come for him, which about nearly pierce him in two. Luckily enough, Tofu was pretty fast on his own.

[break][break] "Right - attack back! Use Discharge!"

[break][break] Cheeks crackling with light, the Pikachu releases a collection of thunder and lightning. Bolts lance through the air and across the battlefield, aimed to electrocute the other pokemon where it stands.

The guy that it was cool. Honestly, Raju thought it interesting. Though the most common was definitely the combat breed. The Pikachu feinted the attack, dodged Big Bert's, then moved on to actually using it. Making a wide turn, Big Bert charged again, this time much more engulfed in flames for a Flame Charge, also increasing his own speed. Sure, he got zapped in the process, but hopefully taking the attack and plowing to him would put them back in front. The Tauros was more of a momentum fighter, so a disturbance could be catastrophic to him. Question was, was the sudden change and counter attack a big enough one? Of course, considering the number of battles he had in just this one day, maybe the fatigue was starting to get to Big Bert at this point.

[attr="class","textbody"] Heat blazed through the arena as their opponent was coalesced with flame. Hooves dug into the earth as bolts of electricity ignited into the air.

[break][break] Tofu attempted to shock the charging Tauros to stop his attack, but the lightning bolts just lanced through the air and seemed to be absorbed by the torrent of flame.

[break][break] Shit.

[break][break] "Tofu, watch out!"

[break][break] Too late. Tofu was knocked into the air, flames burning his belt as he skidded against the floor. He gasped with pain before pushing himself to his feet, staggering from the damage.

[break][break] "Shake it off, bud. Electro Ball!"

[break][break] Maybe if they put distance between them it'd be enough. A yellow sphere formed in front of them before his tail slapped against it, blazing the attack across the arena and towards his opponent.

Success! The flames seemed to have protected the Tauros enough to smack and send the Pikachu into the air. Landing, the Pikachu got up, albiet a bit unsteady. That wasn't too surprising. Shaking it off, the electric mouse fired a ball of electricity. Well, hopefully the use of Flame Charge would lower the speed advantage some, and thus lower that specific attack's power. Either way, the bull's horns glowed red and flames consumed them as Big Bert lowered his head and charged again with Raging Bull. If nothing else, it's best to keep up the pressure and try to keep the cute little guy from recovering too much. Otherwise they may get the jump on them again.

[break][break] The attack might work once, but they're not stupid enough to let it work twice.

[break][break] "Get out of the way! He can't get you if he can't catch ya!""

[break][break] Tofu leaps and skirts out of the way, propelled into speed as a TRAILBLAZE danced beneath his feet. It is the quintessential fight of the matator and a bull; everytime the charge comes for him, Tofu is quick and nimble to leap out of the way.

The Pikachu burst out of the way with a Trailblaze. Not bad. Definitely similar to how he and BB train. But it won't be enough. Slowing down and circling around, the bull burst into a larger plume of flames and charged with another Flame Charge, hoping to negate the speed boost that was Trailblaze. That could make turning more difficult for a follow up, but hopefully the harder hit would hurt more. Raju could tell that Tauros was getting tired though. Chasing the little guy around was taking a bigger toll than some of the other little guys were. Probably the difference between this guy and Raju's other opponents that used little guys. This Pikachu was stronger...or more nimble.

[break][break] Set the grass on fire and get rid of the advantage of his TRAILBLAZE attack. Unfortunately, it's not nearly quick enough. Before the Taurus can set him aflame, Tofu ends the battle with one last DISCHARGE attack.

[break][break] When the smoke settles, there's only one victor.

[break][break] Tofu.

[break][break] Still, Ollie's a good competitor so when he walks over to the center of the field, it's all in congeniality and humbleness as he offers a hand out to shake.
