And back in the building they were. Hideo did not vibe with this place, but it did give them the most information out of everything in these wilds, so back here they went. Hopefully, it would be the last time they'd need to enter this place.

But this time, they were going all the way to the top! And just like every piece of media Hideo had consumed, the topmost floor was where the real serious stuff happened - plus, Uxie (once more disguised as a Ralts) warned him to be prepared.

So prepared he was, bringing along one of his more powerful Pokemon - his Iron Valiant. He was…cautious with this Pokemon, after what happened on that island with the Tera crystals, but he at least knew it'd do what he told it to - he just had to be careful with what he said.

"You guys ready?" he asked both CIAN MAHER and Eva Morales .

The sheer darkness was lost on Hideo, though not on his Pokemon. Which wouldn't help them if there was a threat waiting for them.

Fortunately, Eva Morales already seemed to have an idea of what to do to resolve this. "Oh, think I still got that one crystal from the last time we were here," Hideo said, swinging his backpack to his front.

Five seconds of rooting through his bag later, he took out the modified crystal. "Kinda wish I could try it on one of my Pokemon first, but maybe using a weird crystal on them is a bad idea. Now lemme see where to put this one…"

Fortunately, Uxie's guidance helped him find the right spot. Once it was in, all they had to do was press a button, and the lights were on!

…but what was waiting for them here?

CIAN MAHER 's mention of this serving as a beacon served to up Hideo's anxiety. "...but for what?" he asked, just as Eva Morales did. "The only Ultra Beasts we've found here can't fly, so what else could it-"

That loud cry interrupted him, his Iron Valiant stepping between him and the sound. It became apparent the source was on the roof as those heavy steps scratched against metal.

Eva's Pokemon revealed just what they were dealing with - Uxie gave Hideo the name.

"Necrozma…" Hideo muttered.

His heart began to race, his hands began to sweat. This was the monster that stole the lives of so many of his Pokemon. The one responsible for injuring the Lake Trio. The one that haunted so many dreams and gave him so many sleepless nights, the one that came to destroy his region.

It was right in front of him.

His mind didn't even process there was something off about it - even when Uxie tried to tell him it was so much smaller than before, that this couldn't be the real thing.

He lifted a finger, pointing towards the creature.

"Destroy it."

If he could destroy this thing now, he could avenge all those that were lost.

His Iron Valiant immediately leapt into action, producing a glaive as it went in to strike at the Necrozma Shard, a Spirit Break landing squarely on the monster's body…

And barely getting the thing to budge.

Attack after attack was made on the "Necrozma", and they still barely did anything to the shard of the monster Hideo wanted dead. Uxie told him as much - that they didn't have any need to continue fighting this thing that barely even acknowledged their presence.

But Hideo didn't have his Iron Valiant relent, even as CIAN MAHER 's Silvally attacks joined in - and barely made the thing budge in its advance towards the light. Even when Eva Morales insisted that they leave, even trying to get Hideo to give up.

Yet Hideo let his Iron Valiant continue.

It was only when the shrill cry of his "Ralts" came out - one that didn't sound anything like a Ralts - that the Iron Valiant stopped. It turned around towards Hideo, running to the boy and grabbing him - and leaping off the roof.

Just as Uxie told it to do.

"What're you doing?!" Hideo shouted, angrily trying to escape his Iron Valiant's grasp, in spite of how poor a decision that would be.

The Iron Valiant would accept Eva's aid in its fall - it didn't have the same floating properties Hideo's Magearna did.

Hideo realized that getting out of his Iron Valiant's grasp was not going to happen. He knew it was a strong Pokemon, but this was the first time on the receiving end of said power - though this was probably the safer way of experiencing it.

He also realized it was a long fall from the top of the roof. Hearing Necrozma get further away frustrated him, but he wasn't getting back up there.

The Iron Valiant touched down on the ground, letting the boy out of its grasp the moment it was safe. The frown on Hideo's face would make it clear he wasn't happy with the situation, the boy grumbling.

He only took a moment away from his anger when Uxie told him of the incoming Ultra Beasts - several Blacephalons, which he already had - but this group also included a Guzzlord.

It took a few psychic proddings from Uxie to get Hideo to stop stewing in his anger at the Necrozma, but Hideo finally put his attention to what was in front of them. "Go…just go knock that Guzzlord out," he grumbled.

The Iron Valiant turned its attention towards the large Pokemon - and the Spirit Break it struck with was much more visibly effective than on the Necrozma. A second one was all it took to take the Guzzlord down - non-lethally, as Hideo instructed.

Hideo tossed a Pokeball at it - though with visibly less energy than he usually did.
