After all, he didn't consider himself that much of a competitive person, at least compared to the likes of people like CIAN MAHER or kyle lopez.

Finn had none of that, and without the MIASMA, Faolan benefits only from a heightened strength that may not be enough to break through this burly Pikachu's defences. But he's going to damn well try.[break][break]

Faolan tries to brace for the incoming IRON TAIL, COPYING the move for a clash of steel-on-steel.[break][break]

[break][break] But Ollie is nothing but the picture of sunlight now, the embodiment of all the good things that he believes that the League should stand for. He whoop-whoop-hollers as both pokemon engage in a powerful clash of steel.

By this point, Faolan has come to understand the meaning of the nickname. Little Wolf, the little-known meaning behind his name, distinguished him from the partner of the Rocket underboss.[break][break]

His ears prick in response.[break][break]

SHADOW WAVE is utilized to launch himself into the air, hoping to minimize contact with the electric DISCHARGE as much as possible. Cillian can see the tension in the jackal's muscles, knows that he must be in pain, but Faolan remains determined as an AURA SPHERE builds between his paws, pitched like a large baseball toward his foe.

[break][break] Ollie wouldn't remember the name, but Tofu sure would. After all, this pup was giving him a hard time.

[break][break] The SHADOW WAVE hits the waves of electricity, buoying them back effectively, causing the explosive attack to merely exist as tiny sparks that fall into the dirt. Behind them, the crowd shouts their approval, no doubt encouraging the cleverness of the Lucario as he launches his next attack.

[break][break] When the AURA SPHERE comes for him, Tofu pivots sharply on his heel. Energy glows around his tail as he attempts to stop the attack with a well-placed IRON TAIL, slicing molten hot through the blue light.

[break][break] Pain still sears him anyway though, causing him to stumble back.

This tournament hasn't gone well for them thus far. Aside from an early victory against his husband, Cillian's watched Faolan struggle to adapt to a fighting style he's not accustomed to.[break][break]

Now, in the final days of the tournament, he seems to be getting the hang of it. At least enough to give this Pikachu a rough time.[break][break]

The IRON TAIL slices through the AURA SPHERE and knocks Faolan back, eliciting a low growl from the jackal as he shakes himself off. Steadfast, he retaliates with EXTREME SPEED, dashing close for an uppercut.[break][break]
