It surprised Raju to find an elite four member on the field. Well, in the tournament. It was sort of intimidating. Especially since Matias had a bit of a reputation. Still, he was going to try his best, like always. Otherwise there'd be no point. The five foot six blonde stepped up to the plate, throwing the pokeball to reveal his large Blaze Breed Tauros. "Raju Mystic. And this is my Blaze Breed Paldean Tauros, Big Bert. Ready whenever you are." Was he a tad nervious? Yes. Was he also maybe a little excited? Naturally. It probably wasn't often that he'd get to face off against an Elite Four member. So might as well take advantage of it while he can.

So the man was one of few words. Raju could respect that. The elite four's Meowth took the stage. Another cute little guy...maybe next time Brownie should be the one in the ring for as many cute little guys as there were in this thing. Soon as the announcer called it a go, Big Bert charged, engulfing himself in flames for a Flame Charge, ever increasing in speed. Hopefully and early speed boost will help deliver some actual good hits. But the guy was an Elite Four member...Raju was sure Matias was not going to be a pushover. Even with his cute little guy.

meowth is cute but it sure ain't little. DYNAMAX causes it to grow to the size of a multi-story home similar to what one might find on the outskirts of lilycove.[break][break]

FLAME CHARGE smacks into meowth as it tries to swipe a SHADOW CLAW in return at Raju Mystic's tauros.[break][break]

The cute little guy didn't stay cute. Or little. It soon became as large as a building. Raju's eyes bulged out at the size of it. Was...was this Dynamax?! Big Bert didn't flinch...but he did bounce off kind of hilarously. Then get hit by a Shadow Claw. Well, he got clipped, but it was enough to hurt a lot. Shaking it off, the big guy aimed at a leg with his next charge. Hopefully he'll get a flinch with a Zen Headbutt. Psychic energy swirled around his head as he tried to trip up the bigger Pokemon. What the heck man...guess he should have expected some trick, but this was insane to him.

ZEN HEADBUTT connects but it does not do enough to cause meowth to flinch. maybe it's the size difference that helps meowth stay focused. whatever it is, meowth fires back with TRAILBLAZE, slamming into the tauros.[break][break]

matias approaches a win against Raju Mystic, closing in on it.[break][break]

Yep, the Zen Headbutt didn't do much. Instead, he got kicked off with a Trailblaze. Bouncing a couple times before landing on his feet. Shaking it off, the bull was not in good shape. But they always go down fighting. Horns glowing red, Big Bert charged with Raging Bull. Honestly, he probably shouldn't be too surprised...Matias is an Elite Four member. Still, he felt like this was dumb. How the hell is someone supposed to fight that?! He really just wanted to get this fight done and over with. Yes, Raju was being a little bitter. He was having such shit luck after a good start.

While he slammed into the Meowth, it didn't seem to do much. And instead got a bunch of gems fired at him the process. A super effective hit like that sent him flying, and knocked out when he landed. Raju returned BB back to his pokeball. Walking up to the man, Raju offered a handshake. The blonde was a good sport. It may not have been the greatest of fights, but he tried, damn it! And this was a tournament, he wasn't going to be bitter about losing. It just means that he needed to get stronger.
