On a day where everything has gone so remarkably wrong, she barely notices when Navy enters the room. Not even when Mesprit dips into his pool of turbulent emotions and taints her own heart.[break][break]

When he speaks, she jumps, gathering whatever little she has shoved into her backpack and attempting to hide it behind her. The steaming cup left out for her goes untouched. Mesprit, however, is all too happy to partake in the offering of hot cocoa, taking a sip from the cup and squeaking as the first few drops burn their tongue.

Shuwen focuses on Mesprit, sparing his fellow legend a few short grunts. Holding up the steaming cocoa, he sips it like tea. Each sip is ginger, glancing, allowing the edge of his lips to adjust to the scalding warm cocoa. He aims to teach his junior, that they might follow his example.[break][break]
Navy sits as well, close to his Urshifu. Gray eyes sway from Eris to whatever’s behind her, before settling back on her. Whatever she means to hide, he doesn’t care. He doubts her secrets are anything that should cause him concern.[break][break]
“Glad you’re alright. Things…got pretty crazy out there, huh?” It’s more a statement than a question. Framing statements as questions is a habit picked up from his time in the countryside. “Whatever’s on your mind…you can talk to me about it.” He hopes she will. It’s better than bottling it up.

They've picked up on what should be done, observed a master at work. But when it comes time to actually attempt it, all that Shuwen would hear is another squeak.[break][break]

Eris follows Navy's gaze, all too aware of the way he sees everything she attempts to hide. But his words do not pry, they invite. They offer her a space, pray that they let him share in whatever she battles with in her head.[break][break]

Reiner lowers his gaze, letting out a quiet sigh. And as he does, he finally pulls himself from his spot on the ground, pacing over to Eris before plopping himself down by her feet. All the words that she juggles in her head, all of them only begin to gather when he holds her hand with his tail.[break][break]
