The rest of the transmission dies as he removes the ear-piece, carelessly tossing it to the ground.

Something deep inside told him that it was a mistake, what he intended to do, but the greater whole told him that it didn't care.

Their last fight had been invigorating, but it had also been too close. It was a precise measure, like a scalpel, but Greyson didn't care about precision, or accuracy when he simply intended to tear the infection out root and stem.

From the doorway a figure descends, wand glowing at the tip at her side.

"Maybe," he says to his question finally. "But not my own."

A torrent of MAGICAL FLAME fills the doorway, a torrent that aims to consume Jayden from the beginning.

Once he was done here, he'd secure the hostages, and be back before reinforcements could even arrive. Simple, really.

With a simple thought he tugs on the connection between himself and his Delphox, a burning crown forming over his head as the fire-type falls gracefully to the floor, her powers gone.

But, that didn't matter right now. Only jayden cross's death. In-fact — nothing did.

The elements whip their creators, though unlike Jayden, Greyson is not gifted the powers of a greater being. Thin lines and scratches form on exposed skin, and clothing is torn, shredded, and singed. Clumps of ice cling to everything in sight, and beneath it all, Greyson's hatred burns.

"Another one of you." He hisses, the sound drowned out by the sound of burning flesh. "Chosen by a Legend, you of all people? How desperate must they've been to scrape the bottom of the barrel and choose you?"

it is not enough.

[break][break] where destruction and flame leaves humans like Greyson Connors in a weakened state, susceptible to his basest emotions, the cursed is only strengthened by such desires. hatred, resentment, pain. with every whip of flames against his charred skin, it only strengthens him.

[break][break] he is the embodiment of hatred after all. more than the emotion that fuels them both, jayden cross is hatred.

[break][break] agony singes through jayden's skin but it does not make him hesitate. in fact, it only burns inside of him faster, embers that scorch across flowerbeds, a hellfire that never ceases.

[break][break] "weak," he snarls back, teeth biting against the ice. once again, his arm-sword plunges into a variety of slashes, seeking to stab Greyson Connors in the chest. "the gods will never choose you, because you are weak."

Each slash tears open new wounds; new scars from which this failure will be etched into his skin as a reminder.

From the SHADOWS his Delphox appears, meeting the strike with her wand, and the WAVE OF SHADOW with a thinly veiled MIRROR COAT. She screams as the attack strikes her chest, flesh and fur parting equally, but it was a small price to pay for the ability to reflect jayden cross's strike with double the power.

But, things weren't working; failure lingered with each passing second, and worse, the potential of death. If Greyson wouldn't act — Autumn would.

Leaning on her PSYCHIC TERA SHARD she pushes her empowered will into the structure around them. In a feat of ridiculousness, she begins to TELEPORT THE ENTIRE BUILDING.
