The sight of a flock moving in for an attack is not missed on him. Neither is the dog-boy running off to switch out his team. Sam moves over toward the sandcastle feast and takes a seat next to it, letting his two cosmic Pokemon eerily hover around him. He tosses out his Metagross, Juggernaut, just in case he needed to have him use protect against some random attack.

Apparently, just walking on the beach was a dangerous move.

The moment she saw them in the air she couldn't help herself. The birds were familiar faces to her and she loved the chances to test their mettle. She wouldn't stand for a friend that couldn't stand up to her.

Isra is lurking in the shadows with her noivern, watching as her Froslass uses Aurora veil to prepare for a tactic they've never used before but Isra is downright giddy over trying. The ice type hopes on the dragon's back and she can't wait to see how Alexei Ivanov deals with them taking to the sky.

The moment they're close enough to his formation the Frosslass whips up a flurry of Hail and chilling blizzard winds from the dragons back. The flying beast tolerating the cold through the help of the pokemon's Aurora veil. It's only a test but Isra is laughing from the shadows all the same.

There was something…that didn’t sit right with the Salamence as the Aerodactyl flew forward to scout the other side of the long stretch. As the Fossil Pokémon continued to fly as inconspicuously as possible, the other dual-type couldn’t help but worry—why wasn’t he with Kyouya and his human companion?![break][break]

Grunting in the Aerodactyl’s direction, the Salamence tilts his back toward the base—and then sees something strange happening not too far from where the Braviary was flying.[break][break]

That was impossible—how was there snow in such hot weather like this?![break][break]

The Aerodactyl’s eyes bugged out in alarm, but the Salamence insisted that the other continue scouting—that he would be back. With as much speed as was allowed to him, the draconid then flew back toward the battlements, literally going as fast as he could manage.[break][break]

Over where Alexei was, he looked around—wait a second, since when did it snow outside of the Shoal Cave?! He was…rather alarmed. The Braviary let out an indignant-sounding shriek as the Hail began pelting them.

“Kyou, calm down!” he says, rubbing the back of the avian’s neck. “There has to be a source of all this…”[break][break]

Looking around, he sees that Gabriel is flying back, an alarmed look on his face. Once the Salamence is close enough, Alexei whistles softly and pats the other on the snout.[break][break]

“Worried, were you? Think you know where this is coming from?” he asks, drawing his jacket around closer to himself. “Care to give us a Protect or two?”[break][break]

Nodding, the Salamence quickly whips up the Protective screen in front of himself, as Alexei does an aerial transfer so that he’s now on Gabriel’s back—which frees up Kyouya.

“Kyou, get out of range, go back and alert the others,” he says as he now flies off on the Salamence.

he double checks his team on the pc located inside the canary hall, but then he realizes he does not really care if it would be the best one as long as everything meshed well in a usable manner.

he steps out of the canary hall, though he remained at the entrance. he awaits for anything exciting to happen, or anyone he knows that will show up. hopefully, this wouldn't just be another 1v1 with mateo martinez this time around.

The pelting ice doesn't hurt as much as normal thanks tot he Ice types protection but it's enough to start to agitate the beast. He's surprisingly calm for a hydreigon, all things considered but he's just as much a part of the species as any other. He's getting awful worked up about the whole thing and it gets more and more obvious as time passes.

The Froslass doe not stop her barrage, ensuring that the storm envelopes Alexei Ivanov and his flyers, he own growing more and more upset with each passing moment. It's a good thing she's used to noise or else his deafening hyper voice might have rocked her off his back.

What a wonderful mobile terror Isra thinks, a storm on a screaming dragon's back. It's ridiculous and would only ever manage to matter in a setting like this but she'll enjoy the idea none the less.

cait yawned noisily, her vision bleary and her mind not entirely comprehending the goings on outside their door. she had only just risen from a nap, the noise that originated from the battlefield resulting in her appearance.

"what's goin' on," she slurred.

she glanced at her companion, not-celebi's beautiful and synthetic mustache slightly askew. cait corrected it gently before shifting her gaze elsewhere, the woman stepping past kyle lopez and free of their magnificent hall's immediate area in favor of investigating the hullabaloo.

'let's just hope we're not on the cusp of being invaded.'

it was a moment like this one where she wished for a reliable set of binoculars. instead she was forced to squint, her gaze flitting to and fro.

"i think we're being attacked by one of the local whore houses," she murmured. "either the blues or the reds. what do you think, not-celebi?"

her companion gave a non-committal response, though their eyes narrowed slightly in concentration as they focused on the flight-worthy troops that quarreled high above their heads.

"i could send decidueye up there," cait said, considering her options.

Bryony's attention is captured by something pelting against the window. When she looks, there's yet another snow storm. She considers doing nothing, staying inside where it's safe, already worn out by the seemingly nonstop fighting that goes to each extreme possible.

At the very least, she has an ace in her sleeve (as Morgan or someone might put it) and with that in mind, she makes her way outside. A piece of hail crashes against her cheek and Bryony winces on reflex. From her hip, she grabs a pokeball and summons Pawpaw.

The Drampa's Cloud Nine puts an immediate end to the hail storm. Bryony stays very close to the building with one hand against the neck of her pokemon. She gives two more orders to the dragon: Protect and Safeguard.

The Salamence was in the middle of a struggle—why the hell was the Hail coming down much harder than usual?[break][break]

It isn’t until Alexei spots a familiar-looking Froslass that’s astride a Hydreigon he’s not too familiar with does he realize who the Froslass belongs to. There’s pretty much only one other person who’s come to challenge me with a Froslass… he thinks, quickly looking around and trying to find the greenette; the owner of this particular mischievous troublemaker.[break][break]

Meanwhile, the Braviary almost comes to a crash-landing near the front of the battlements, shaking as much ice and snow as he could out of his feathers—he really hated that uncomfortable feeling of getting cold, wet snow stuck in his feathers. Just as he’s about to raise a racket, he sees an unusual-looking Pokémon make its appearance, accompanied by a female who’d also been hit by the wayward pieces of ice and snow.[break][break]

Looking up, the Braviary lets out a sigh of relief—and the discordant racket from the rest of the other Flying-types (and not-so Flying types) comes to a quiet for all of five seconds. It’s not until most of the ones near where Alexei and the Salamence are hovering start making a righteous racket at the sight of the unusual invader.[break][break]

Alexei’s also surprised at the sudden quieting of the Hailstorm, and he’s thankful—but wait, not a single one of his Pokémon have the ability to nullify weather changes as quickly as that![break][break]

Whoever quieted the storm down, thank you, he thinks, pulling out a whistle and blowing a singular blast on it—but tweaking the note ever so slightly.[break][break]

“Gabe, there she is. Care to scare ‘em off with a Flamethrower? But be careful not to make the fire rain down below,” he says, giving the Salamence a pat—and with that, the draconid sees the Froslass before taking aim and unleashing a strong stream of flames that heads towards the Hydreigon-mounted target.

kyle arrives outside. following him was an arcanine trying to get away from the drapion that was ordered to keep using acupressure on it.

"oi, bry," he calls as he walks towards @bryony and her pokemon. "you wanna storm the hyacinth peeps again?"

there already were enough people to defend the home base for now. so far, he could only tell that only one person was attacking the canary hall and people seemed to be dealing with her already. ganging up on her would probably be fun, but not productive.

he starts to consider his options as the thought comes to his head, ready to take the question back should bryony answer immediately.

The froslass almost seemed to whine in response to her hail storm disappearing. It wasn't full proof but perhaps it was a blessing in disguise however. The Hydreigon could handle it alright with the Aurora veil covering him but too much longer would have taken them to ground all the same. And imagine her start when another dragons draws in with fire!

While the froslass seeks to curls up on the dragons back and hide the dragon seems unbothered by the coming heat. Whining maws opening wide to retort with a fireblast of their own, intercepting the fire between them and looking to snuff them both out before either can hit their target.

The sharp whistle draws him away, almost inaudible but it is apparent her experiment has come to an end. She is satisfied and the dragon is welcome back at her side. He won't strike further so long as they don't.

"i'll be heading out first then." his answer is definite and the council member hurries off to act on his own accord. having Isra Nightingale act as their only offensive front won't work for too long. one against a whole team will only cause her to be swarmed, or stalled should they have mercy.

fernando uses her offensive as a distraction from his own. reduced to using his own two feet, fernando finds his advance far from well hidden and quite public, a lone figure approaching among the sand dunes. several pokeballs line his belt and he taps each one once he considers himself in range. separate from Alexei Ivanov and Isra Nightingale, fernando attacks on a different front.

"battle routine set."

an IMPRISON is set up and the field becomes distorted by a translucent wall of light. anyone who dares enter will no longer be able to use the same move as his bronzong. naturally, the common moves EARTHQUAKE and PROTECT are now off limits. he makes sure that the entrance to the canary hall is within the boundary to encapsulate any new comers as well.

the drampa's CLOUD NINE may eliminate the HAIL brought on by isra's ice pokemon but fernando will not allow a single ability to dampen their offensive line up. gales of frigid wind and ice breach the summer's heat and follow up with the same opener that kyle had used on the hycanith war front. the atmosphere becomes cold and the harsh bite of winter is here for revenge.

fernando remains behind his four ice type pokemon with his bronzong and porygon beside him. they need no reminder to prepare themselves with their iconic techniques. LOCK-ON and FUTURE SIGHT are both focused and prepared for anything that may prove a hindrance for the streaming snow storm.

two other pokemon were released. one sets the weather to rain dance given that @bryony does indeed get her drampa out of the field. the other sets up with electric terrain and charge.

kyle motions for the drapion to change targets, applying acupressure on the manectric, increasing its accuracy. he gets his arcanine to get in front of them, protecting only the group from the blizzard by a buffed flamethrower, boosted by the earlier acupressure from the drapion.

"jellicent, water spout."

a large torrent of water seeks to drench the opposite side of the field where the blizzard were coming from with the move. boosted by the rain and the pokemon's rather healthy constitution, the water spout presents a flood to the other side.

"and innes, thunder."

the manectric roars. a thin current is sent out to the sky before a devastating bolt of electricity comes crashing down the ground, more specifically, towards where the blizzards come from. it does not matter if it is protected or redirected or absorbed by a pokemon. the sheer intensity, voltage and density of the attack from the electric terrain and charge makes sure that it would still hit the wet battlefield no matter what.

physics dictate that anything wet is subjected to water's conductivity lets electricity pass through them easily. the aim isn't to defeat a single strong enemy, but to create a wide-area electric attack from a single strong move.

he likens it to how a single luxray manages to cover the entire verdanturf with electric terrain during the invasion, only this time, his aim was to retaliate and not simply cover the entire town with electric terrain.
