Despite his rather calm appearance, Greyson's anxiety is a constant drumming in the back of his mind.

Having spoken to PENELOPE LIVY's receptionist, he's able to convince them to let them in her office early. Being that he was a member of the Elite Four, it wasn't a difficult proposition.

With that said, she quickly gathers the paperwork on Penelope's desk and stashes them in a locked drawer.

He was impressed by the professionalism.

He wanders the room for a few minutes, eyeballing the awards, the photos, and more, before boredom strikes and he sits on the couch against the wall.

As the door opens, his attention lifts casually to meet the new soul.

Greyson searches Penelope's face for any of the pent-up anger, or disdain, he'd expected since their last meeting. When he doesn't find any of those hot emotions, his mind buzzes with confusion.

He considers for a moment continuing the pleasantries, but in the end, decides against it.

"I spoke to Cian, while he was going through my challenge."

He holds the silence for emphasis, releasing a long, tense breath. His expression softens beneath an invisible weight of embarrassment; of shame.

"I'm sorry for accusing of you knowing, last time I was here."

The faintest exhale of a chuckle is the most he could manage.

"Yeah, I suppose it is."

It was the both the closest yet the furthest thing from the truth; nevertheless, what else was there but to move on?

"Have you spoken to him? Cian, I mean." Logic dictated that he should've hurt her the most.

"I'm having a-" he pauses, words gated behind gritted teeth and a clenched jaw "-difficult time coming to terms with this amnesty program, much less having to push a former Rocket to the rank of Champion-tier trainer."

It was easy to draw lines in the sand. How was this any different than Penelope's choice about annalise henderson; nevertheless, perhaps it's fitting that he's the one coming to apologize.

But, despite what Penny might think, he doesn't pin the weight of all of Team Rocket's actions on Cian, nor does he blame him. That leads to a rather interesting thought.

It was a conundrum to be certain; the moral high ground on an issue that had all too real world consequences.

"dahlia goode is not out there on the battlefield against Rocket. She doesn't understand." He says in almost a whisper, like merely speaking that aloud was sacrilege.

He trusted the Commissioner's judgement — mostly.
