[attr="class","spiral"] kyle lopez doesn't answer the question because the others will speak their mind. the general sentiment is that garnet will not have a war on the war front. that's why they lost and that's why the clamperls won last year. that will not be a mistake repeated this year. not when those who are hungry for victory have immigrated to hoenn.

the near silent wizz of electricity does not do the attack justice. the impact of the attack booms from the point of origin but by the time it travels over such a distance the sound has already died off. four separate barrages of ZAP CANNON careen from a distance to the side of the palace opposite to the current tea party. the attack will rock the foundation of the building should the volley land, well placed and purposefully fired from the side with no visible occupants. the element of surprise is surmised from the lack of activity and those who had fired had deliberately waited to LOCK-ON to a vacant area.

in a decent distance away is the metallic shine of several pokemon. those with a sharp eye may be able to discern their species but the strumming SANDSTORM that forms begins to hide them within the rising whirlwind of beach sand.

Morgan Drake and Noelle Lane are here now, he supposed. he silently hoped their presence would steer the direction of the game to something much more interesting, but it seemed that one of them had an entirely different objective in mind.

"oh, uh, sure," he answers her. he rummages through his holster for pokeballs and releases delta. if he was going to loan out a mightyena, it would be the least useful one.

not that it made his skills for tracking any less credible. his close friends' scents were already all memorized by his pokemon that they just need a point where mateo was last seen before they can get started.

a bark from echo comes to alert them, but it was all for naught as the attack hits the garnet hall before kyle could react to it.

"oh, cool," he reacts weakly. "just the thing i want."

he turns to both cadis von klaussner and @lenora as the attack shook their temporary home. "looks like you gotta defend now." he tilts his head as his eyes go to @bronze this time. "and looks like you should go out there and be passive-aggressive at whoever threw that attack now too."

The whole building seemed to tremble - what...the hell? why did this feel so familiar? ah - it didn't matter much. it wasn't her team being attacked, after all. but, that being said...

"thanks, kyle! i owe you one," sincerity in her tone as she clasped her hands over one of his own to give it a few shakes before letting go. about to scamper off with the dog in tow to find the wandering dragon kind, she paused, if only to look at the dog boy with a questioning look. "since this isn't technically either of our bases...should we aid in attacking? y'know, a whole...the enemy of my enemy is my friend, sorta deal? temporary truce?" she hadn't really done much of the attacking in this whole silly 'war' thing, but, that didn't mean she wasn't interested in doing so.

the idea of burning down- er...destroying something, legally, seemed kinda fun!

All Sam wanted to do was come and see the fucking warfront for himself.

But what happens instead of just coming and seeing the place for himself? He's attacked with everybody else by FERNANDO SILPH. Rude... does he have no poise? Mostly, weren't the Garnet's like, super aloof about the whole attack thing anyway? To come in and bombard them... well, Fernando was living up to his name, at least.

To keep him safe, he had his Metagross, Juggernaut, use PROTECT, to keep him safe before starting to head back and away from the warfronts.

If he never came back again to either of the three, he wouldn't be mad.

Isra is glad she had chosen to take to the sky as she ventured into Garnet territory. It was more out of curiosity than anything else, she only really engaged with the clampearls because Alexei was present and she couldn't help herself.

A simple walk and hello would have been enough for her, toes in the sand and the shade of her Parasol and too-long dress. Instead she sits on the back of her Hydreigon up above watching as FERNANDO SILPH lays out a barrage on their warfront.

Poor things.

[attr="class","spiral"] the SANDSTORM fills out the area and fernando's pokemon are hidden from view by the razing whirlwind of beach sand. their vision of the garnet's base is lost with the sudden cover but most of them can remember their firing range. LOCK-ON provides an ample technique to aim their attacks with the same trajectory as their last. another series of ZAP CANNONS are launched and without any intervention, there's little to stop the promise of a second bombardment.

save for the water witch herself, that is, to stop the onslaught. a creature from eldritch horrors was summoned within the storming sands and at olivia's whistle, the fossil pokemon acted. calcified spears were launched from the omanyte's shell so the spike cannon would meet the various zap cannons head on, and immediately following that, a barrier of rock slide erected itself to protect her fellow garnets from any stray missiles.

"so feisty today, aren't we silph?" olivia greeted playfully.

Isra hovers overhead, her dragon staying just far enough out of range to keep the two of them safe from the barrage while she enjoyed the show. especially with a newcomer on the battle firld. Isra was eager to watch the movements of those that she had not yet seen in full. Seeing is knowing and knowing is the best way to conduct yourself in battle.

She's almost giddy watching.

[attr="class","spiral"]the omanyte may be able to hear her whistle among the howling SANDSTORM but fernando cannot. her call is a whisper among the winds, lost between a tirade of sand and pebbles. the only thing that he can hear is the resounding boom of several cannons. each blast funnels into a single focal point on launch, erupting with a resounding boom.

SPIKE CANNON turns into brittle dust against the might of individual ZAP CANNONS. what's left of them blend in with the growing SANDSTORM. the ROCK SLIDE proves a more formidable bulwark but their foundation is spent on protecting other individuals and not fernando's immediate target, the garnet base.

unable to read the telltale signs of any opposition, the attacks continue. it is not often that fernando gets to play as the aggressor. garnet will know what it means to be on the other end of a one man slateport invasion. time has taught him well.

She could be content to sit and watch but for awhile longer but it seems that Olivia Abbiati and FERNANDO SILPH may ccupy each other for a little while. It gives her an opportunity she chooses not to squander.

The noivern she releases is viscous in her own right and Isra makes a quick nod to the base that Fernando seems determined to damage to the nines. The flying pokemon is swift, her agility bringing her close to the back side of the base in short time. She doesn't start small or quiet.

The building is onslaughted by a series of boomburst one after another and if left alone will become quite the problem.

sso much for pleasantries. another whistle pierced through the boom blast of the dragon. opis raised his tentacles and two massive rock slide barriers erupted from the ground to protect the garnet base from the sound based attacks. meanwhile, a flash of light from the sands and a soft command by olivia followed. "mirror spin." she ordered to ornea, her staryu who was using its analytic ability to form the most optimal plan. a glint from ornea's gem confirmed what olivia had thought, and the star pokemon used reflect type on the magneton, becoming steel. in a rapid spin, the staryu dashed through the air and crashed into the incoming zap cannons to keep the base safe.

"it appears silph and his company wish for war." olivia glanced around to the other garnets, noting with a sigh.

Cute. The noivern uses her agility to move out of the way of the rock slide barriers. Whatever their purpose they do nothing but annoy her.

Isra has her dragons meet each other part way in the sky as she approaches the base. There's a play to be had that she's eager to allow. They touch down and she slips off her dragons back, taking her place is her Gardevoir and she whistles for them to return to the 'protected' base with a grin and a single command. Shatter rain..

The Dragons are a volley of destruction, their twin set of dragon pulse focused on the rocks to break it up, the Gardevoir on her Hydreigon's back taking what ever they can break off with her psychic energy and launching them at the base. It can't hold up forever, and once the barrier is broken through they'll resume their volley of attacks directly on the base.

When Lenora says she is not inclined to battle, that her Pokemon are simply not made for it, she is not playing the part of useless. In truth, Magus is her most battle competent Pokemon and the only one she typically uses when forced to play her hand. In this situation, they're both worthless.

olivia scoffed at the girl’s departure. why come to the forefront of a war if not ready to fight? even if the garnets has been trying to handle this diplomatically. “mirror.” olivia said cooly, her demeanor chilling as she was forced to take the mantle of defending her base. alone.

immediately, opis and his eldritch powers enveloped the base with a protect to halt the psychic shenanigans of the gardevoir. meanwhile, ornea’s gem glowed as its analytic ability formed the most efficient plan. the star pokemon shot skyward and used reflect type on the psychic fairy pokémon, a sudden shimmer enveloping the staryu as it became a fairy type. then, repeating as before, the fairy star used rapid spin to stop the onslaught of draconic energy as the blur of glitter flew around the base to absorb the attacks.

the third flash of light was lost in the raging sandstorm as oeroe was summoned to the field. “preoccupy the psychic.” olivia ordered to her cradily, and ominous orbs of confuse ray hurled out of the sands towards the gardevoir. olivia would keep her base safe if no one else would.
