The water lover had a day off due to working some bits of overtime for the coming season and managed to really knock it out of the park in terms of performance! She hadn't been late for a whole week! So why not spend the day away from doing her usual work and see what fun Pokemon there were around Hoenn? Her bestie may not have been so lucky, but there were bound to be some more friends that she could make somewhere! Mahina grabbed a map from a nearby tourist trap and began scouring the locale for some interesting place outside of Slateport. There were a few places that did so happen to catch her eye though! The mountains, that creepy hill where the haunted tours were, and some others.

"Lesse...Mountains are too hot. Some sketchy old ass temple? I bet there's bound to be some cool stuff there!...Sounds boring if not though." Her hands flipped through the brochures while leaning on the wall inside of the small building and came upon an ad for Mauville. "Mauville City?" Her eyes flipped through the pictures and sentences here made it abundantly clear that this was the cream of the crop in terms of who earned the most in this region. But it did give her inner thief a nice little tickle. Her lips grew wide as an idea formed itself in her mind. "That's perfect! Nothing beats stealing from some bougie people! I bet they've got some bomb ass food too!" She threw the brochure away and began to head out.

So Mahina came to be in Mauville Hills. She had blended in like a natural at the gate, passing as one of the residents here without much of a hassle, though it also helped she had some "charm" that the guards did enjoy too. She walked around the path wearing a pair of sunglasses to cover her face and act as a shield for those prying eyes. A lot of the people and buildings here were just what was put on the tin: too much money and not enough time. But that would just make it way better to get things going here once she could meet back up with Leilani and form a plan.

But for now Mahina had decided to diversify her interests a bit. There were said to be Pokemon out and about and she did want a few new addition just in case there would be a need to have a tool or move she needed in a situation. Or maybe she wanted more cute Pokemon! She rounded a corner in hopes of finding something of interest, unaware of who she might slam headfirst into.

"Uuf!" Mahina bounced back from running into a man that had been roaming the street at the same time. Rubbing her head from the impact, she looked back at him with her sunglasses having fallen off. They landed with a soft thud while she gave an apologetic look. "Shit, I'm sorry!" she said. "I came around that corner pretty fast. Are you alright?"
