Hoenn-born and League-aligned, Leonidas is a child of the Stone family. An open minded workaholic to a fault, alongside the CEO of Eventide, a tech-based company that specializes in robotics and energy generation. A relatively new reintroduction to the region, he studied abroad and started his business overseas until a passing in the family brought him back home. Has been back in Hoenn since around August 2022, and returned from a business venture spanning from September 2023 - March 2024.[break][break]

ICly, his main concern is dealing with the aftermath of Goodbye Galar (Shield), what with how the gaps in his memory have left him feeling a bit empty. Otherwise, in lieu of the raid, he’s found himself more invested in the idea of researching the stars and mythos and trying to see how it correlates to recent events in the region. A big reason for his homecoming is rooted in learning all he can in hopes to be able to help with anything and everything that’s happening, so really? Hailing from Galar, Cain is a Rocket-aligned personal trainer that moonlights as a substance + weaponry trading ring leader, alongside the founder of an underground fighting ring. Growing up, he bounced around houses as a result of being in the system, turning to gang life and corruption along the way in order to make a name for himself. He started off as a trade runner before also dipping into assassination on the side until he established his smaller empire.[break][break]

A participant in Goodbye Galar (Sword), he’s found himself wanting answers regarding what happened. While he helped build and maintain an orphanage, all while aiding with combat and military affairs, he remembers little of what actually happened in the dream. With nothing more than a long-faded parchment to prove the experience real, he’s idled on what it would be like to potentially unlock those memories again.[break][break]

An undercover League-adjacent agent that’s been masquerading as a Rocket runner for the past few years. Born and raised in Alola, he lived a standard life before studying and training his way into the secret service, and has donned a number of masks since then for the sake of work. While those that know him now will most likely know him as his current alias—Taika Cadell, a Kalos native—there may be rare people that recognize him by other names.[break][break]

He’s spent a lot of his life under the guise, and by extension, hasn’t seen his family for a while— but both he and his family know the importance of his work, so he bears with it as well as he can. His current identity works as a bank teller and freelance financial advisor by day, but otherwise, he can be found accompanying fellow Rocket colleagues during missions. Currently, he’s on the trail of a runaway fugitive (@/eilidch) in Hoenn, and is juggling that case with a couple others while in the region.[break][break]

LEONIDAS JAYCE STONE

born and raised in our favorite shitstorm of a region, leonidas is a league-aligned character that hails from rustboro city, hoenn. to this day, he’s equally made from integrity as he is money, and has always been the type of person to think of others before himself— and it still shows through the amount of charity work and the like he’s involved himself with. when he was fresh out of high school, he left the region to study overseas in pursuit of his passion in robotics.

one thing led to another, and after a startup with his friends found swift success, he founded his company, eventide: a company that specializes in robotics-based devices to be proposed towards medical and governmental fields, alongside a softer emphasis on builds meant to help regional energy supply (turbines, solar panels, etc.).

put shortly, he worked hard on his projects—both personal and professional—until a certain passing in the family occurred. needless to say, he dropped everything to return home. spent time resting and grieving. eventually, he went back to his company overseas, but before long, he came back during the summer of 2022 for two purposes: to open the hoennian branch of eventide, and—more importantly—ensure he was closer to those he cared about.

hoenn’s numerous events were nothing more than rumors to him before he returned home— but, of course, being here to finally experience cataclysm after cataclysm firsthand put things into perspective. icly, he’s always been curious about not only the state of everything, but the reason behind it all, and is fueled by the idea of wanting to figure out a way he could possibly help.

more connections, whether they be business-oriented, friendly and casual, or maybe even antagonistic and/or dicey. in the end, it still leads to more leads to be chased, and more importantly, dynamics to hopefully be made in-character.

• literally anything.. as a general precaution, i tend to get kinda wordy when plotting things out, and i know some people might get overwhelmed by it sometimes LMFAO. but otherwise, you could literally pitch anything at me—and i mean anything—and i'll see if i can make it work, regardless of how heavy it may be. casual, nitty gritty— lay it all on me, gamers.

THE UPLIFTER
a big part of what i intended for leo was for him to act as an uplifting pillar to other people and their development whenever given the opportunity to do so, and obviously provided there’s a solid reason for ongoing interaction. a natural listener and empath, he’s always been more of a giver to those he cares for— sometimes to a fault. he has an innate instinct to act as the foundation and light for other people to follow and hold onto in their time of need, which begs the question:

who could be there to support the supporter at the end of the day?

it’s a cyclic thing that could hopefully pave the way for good give-and-take interactions (and maybe opportunities to tear the trust from it down? ohohoho), depending on how some bonds are nurtured! especially when considering he’s a bit more aloof for reasons he’s still trying to figure out in the wake of the galar raids (in his case, rusted shield).

SEEKING:

• deeper connections. self-explanatory, really. people to eventually get close enough to him to start noticing the smaller things, and—more importantly—pry them to the surface, pride and strong fronts be damned. would these people fit into slow burn category? absolutely.
• trust crushing. could be a result of faction conflicts, but really, it could also just amount to betrayals or differences of views on a somewhat more casual front. one of his fortes is his ability to trust and see good in people out of good faith. he's always been good at it, regardless of the past— but it'd be interesting to see that change.

GOODBYE GALAR (SHIELD): THE AFTERMATH
tl;dr: i’d love to establish relations—whether simple or more nuanced—from the raid, since it ties in to some changes in his personality.

not as tl;dr: at his core, leo is a big people pleaser (not out of insecurity, but just because he’s the giving type), and a big reason of why he lives his life is for the people around him, alongside the future he could live with them. it’s not his entire personality, obviously, but he thrives off of serving those he cares about and being there for them. he’s capable of standing on his own to an extent, but a lot of his foundations are anchored in bonds— so taking that away equates to taking away his hope over a long enough period of time.

you can probably see where i’m going with this, seeing the events of goodbye galar lasted two decades.

on arrival at motostoke, he had massive hope that he’d be able to return home quickly enough, and while establishing himself as a smithy after adjusting to the dream, definitely did what he could to help around. year one was spent in high spirits, but partway into year two onward, his hope began to falter more and more. he remained steadfast and tried his best to keep faith, but in the end, he became desensitized, alongside just a little bit (read: very) nihilistic and reclused, and really only took care of himself to ease @/marisol as she kept an eagle eye on him.

he eventually fell into researching as an obsessive distraction, spending his days learning all he could about dynergy and dynite ore, and—with arguably more precedence—the stars and their guidance.

the majority of the dream is forgotten to him, with what little he remembers being sparing fragments and pieces that can’t amount to any fuller picture. with the exception of his research, the bulk of what he remembers is largely summed up to vibes and hunches— and it’s because of them that, although he’s reverted to his normal personality, he’s always felt that there’s something missing, which has caused him to be considerably more aloof.

• self-purpose? lost. not quite an identity dilemma, but closer to a motivational dilemma. he still lives life as usual, but over the past six months, has found himself at a loss as a result of the gaps in memory from goodbye galar. he knows something happened in the dream that caused his spark to recede, but doesn't know what, specifically it is— and frankly, he's a bit scared of finding out, if ever given the chance.
• technological advancements. since before eventide's conception, he's had a dream of producing technology capable of use via mind. despite how it may not be achievable on site, given the extent of canon technology limits, he has close teams of professionals that he works with often, and with them, has been drafting prototypes and experiments for thought-controlled devices. in the event of success, the ultimate goal is to propose them for governmental use in hopes to aid larger efforts.
• researching. for the past while, he's been spending the majority of his free time researching mythos and the skies, with more emphasis on the latter, rather than the former, by virtue of how sparing the former can be. he's made personal notes on the stars and skies of dream galar, and has made it a point to map the stars at night to study and reference.

CAIN TOMAN

known by the moniker caturix in underground/red light settings, cain is a rocket-aligned character hailing from wyndon, galar, and is built by self-made and self-embraced corruption. as a product of the system, he’s seen his fair share of shitty situations— and his response to those shitty situations was to overcome them at all costs. simple as that. temperamental at best and volatile and vindictive at worst, he’s the sort of man to value himself over everything else.

after all, he’s the only one he could trust growing up, and he’s the reason he’s standing here, today.

loyalty isn’t lost upon him, and to an extent, it’s actually one of the few things he can respect. for how much of an asshole he can be, he’s actually very reliable and responsible, so if you scratch his back, he’ll scratch yours accordingly. do it enough times and prove yourself to be dependable, and he may consider you less of a tool or stepping stone and more of an actual person.

he’ll remember when he’s crossed, though, and he’s not the type to forgive or forget.

otherwise, he treats close clients and employees with the aforementioned respect and care, looking out for them accordingly. by day, he works as a professional fighter and on-hire personal trainer, all while running his own underground fighting rings and trafficking circles beneath the radar— the latter of which deals with strictly inanimate goods with an emphasis on substances and weaponry.

past or present, you may have come across him at some point. when he was starting off, he specialized in carrying out hits first and foremost, and used the money he earned to fund his fighting career. when he became successful enough in that avenue, he began funneling more earnings into his own circles and building a small, but successful business from there. since then, he’s stepped back from his activities as a hitman for the most part, but definitely does still take the occasional request up.

any business needs sponsors and suppliers, though. other people that may have had a hand in trades concerning weaponry or substances could’ve crossed paths with him, and may even be close with him to this day. he’s known to keep to his trusted circles, but if there’s a good resume backing someone up, he’s not above considering new connections— especially if it could entail growing his own empire along the way. otherwise, there could’ve been a fair chance that he worked on a hit with you in the past.

• suppliers. self-explanatory. friendliness is up to you since he’s definitely the type to be willing to put personal biases aside for work.

realistically, cain has probably been apart of team rocket since his late teens to early twenties— or, in other words, for about twelve to fifteen years, give or take. willing to be a bit more flexible if it makes things a bit easier to hash out, but either way, his way in would've been through the gangs he was apart of growing up.

his original reason for joining was chalked up to needing another source of jobs growing up, but to this day, his record is polished and credible. he's ran his fair share of missions for rocket, and despite the fact that he's inwardly impartial to the group, he's also outwardly loyal by sole virtue of knowing that showing any sort of apprehension wouldn't go him any favors. although he may have a tendency to talk back to others in the organization, regardless of rank, he's still known to be an otherwise cooperative and extremely capable member at the end of the day— especially when it comes to tasks that require muscle and combat.

although he's set to be wrapped up in a couple of Gritty(tm) things in the future, taika is, for all intents and purposes, meant to be the closest to a lower stakes character that i have at the moment! he has his own dealings and reasons for being in hoenn, but otherwise, he's really just living his life by ear.
