BARNABY FINCH once again found himself within Naomi Sato's ROCKET laboratory, spewing the thoughts and ideas that sprung from his staunchly non-scientific brain. Nomi had endured many of his musings by this point — all with grace — so why not another?[break][break]

In this instance, he'd recounted what they'd all witnessed at the battle with KYUREM: Zev Harcourt's laser hitting its target, the GIANT CHASM opening, and then the immediate stampede of odd PARADOX POKÉMON. Barnaby also made sure to connect this event to what they'd experienced in dealing with the VIOLET BOOK and the LEGENDARY BIRDS that had manifested from within it.[break][break]

TERA CRYSTALS, INTERDREAM MIST, a mighty power source... could they even recreate something like that in a lab?

BARNABY FINCH might not be a scientist, but he had a quick and clever mind. That was invaluable - especially within Rocket - and had endeared him to Nomi despite his lack of academic expertise.[break][break]
"Yes," she answered eagerly. "I do think it is worth pursuing."[break][break]
The issue would be the power source, of course. They could recruit Zev Harcourt to do their bidding, but mass destruction like the laser unleashed during the battle with Kyurem would likely draw unwanted attention their way. And the goal wasn't to destroy the Rocket sub, or part of Sootopolis, after all. Admin Bee had used the words "controlled environment", and he was right: they needed the experiment to have the same effect, but on a smaller scale.[break][break]
"Tera crystals are easy enough to procure these days," she mused. "And I am confident Lulu Flint can provide dream mist for experimental purposes." Her mentor had been building a dream machine for some time, she knew. "But where do we get the power? Not so much as to cause another calamity, but enough to recreate the effect..."[break][break]
She glanced at Kallistatus, who hovered by Admin Bee's shoulder.[break][break]
"Perhaps the Unown can assist us."

And it truly was. BARNABY FINCH always had a deep respect for their scientists and how they made progress even from the most outlandish of ideas. He only hoped today would be just as fruitful as breakthroughs in the past.[break][break]

"How 'bout it, Kal? Care to help out?" The admin asked, looking up at the UNOWN-K with a smile.[break][break]

"Though," Here he turned back to Naomi Sato. "We're going to need a lot more than this little one if we want to recreate something as powerful as Zev's laser."

"You're right," she agreed, even as Kallistatus bobbed up and down in the air: what she knew to be an enthusiastic reaction on the shiny Unown-K's part.[break][break]
How to approach this? More Unown...and an environment where they would not cause mass destruction...[break][break]
"I suppose..." she began, weighing her thoughts carefully. This might be a completely insane idea or...exactly what they needed. "We could attempt to run our experiment inside of the Unown Dimension."[break][break]
It would certainly allow them to make use of the entire Collective of Unown bound to the Avatar, and it was a contained environment with limitless potential. If they took tera crystals with them, and she had Kallistatus Terastallize too...would a conjunction of HIDDEN POWERS combined with a STELLAR TERA BLAST be enough to reproduce the effects of Zev's laser? Could a paradox really emerge within that realm?[break][break]
It was worth finding out.

It was a contained space that guaranteed little to no collateral damage. And if some horrid abomination did spawn from their experiments? He was sure Naomi Sato could sort that out immediately within such a space.[break][break]

"Plus I've never been! What's it like? Have you decorated the place? Made it feel like home?"[break][break]

Probably not. Nevertheless, Barnaby stood up from where he sat, indicating that he was ready to start whenever she was.

Decorated?[break][break]
A sudden vision of the Unown Dimension filled with floating paintings, flower arrangements, and comfortable furniture caused a giggle to escape her lips. It was a ridiculous notion, but an amusing one. She was surprised parker jones had never asked before; it felt like the sort of off-hand comment she might make about the place. Then again, Parker hated going there...[break][break]
"It's not...quite like that."[break][break]
She followed suit, standing and facing the Admin, eyes twinkling mischievously.[break][break]
"See for yourself."[break][break]
She reached out to gently rest a hand on his arm. A heartbeat later, they were transported through their reality's spatial fabric and into an entirely different one. They were met with the usual (to her) sight of twinkling galaxies, swirling supernovas, and glittering stars. All around them, Unown floated, dancing and bobbing in harmony with their own inner rhythm. She could hear it, of course. It sounded like coming home.[break][break]

Worlds changed in the blink of an eye.[break][break]

BARNABY FINCH wasn't sure what he'd been expecting, but it wasn't this. For some reason he thought the UNOWN dimension would simply be a dark abyss, devoid of life besides a buzzing hive of UNOWN.[break][break]

"Ah." [break][break]

His assumption had obviously been wrong.[break][break]

"I see what you mean."[break][break]

Galaxies painted this world in swathes of blues and purples and pinks, laced together by strings of innumerable UNOWN undulating all around. It was beautiful and unsettling all at once.
