The invitation came, for Fenelle, extremely surprising. Dee didn't really have the feeling to be close to Thea in any capacity, but it seems like that feeling's one-sided over the course of the times the baking circle has met up (which, frankly, is more often than dee would think). However, Escape Rooms are really fun, so dee doesn't see any reason to refuse.

And so, dee finds demself waiting for Thea at their agreed meet-up spot, wondering what kind of plotline they would bring to them ... There's always the classic mad scientist, or maybe an adventurer angle that is really pushing all the wrong buttons ... A simple puzzle room, a trial ...

Thea sort of 'jogged' her way to the meeting spot. She had run slightly late, and upon seeing Fenelle from afar, she beamed, raising her hand and almost eagerly greeting dem with a loud 'hi', but she stopped herself as soon as she realized Fenelle probably didn't see her yet, which would only result in an awkward silence.[break][break]

Finally reaching to Fenelle, Thea waved to catch der attention and smiled warmly.[break][break]

Slipping a hand into her bag, she pulled out a small notebook, with a rushed handwriting: Sorry for taking so long! It was clear she wrote that while moving around at the very least. Especially seeing some of her Pokémon were still behind, trying to catch up with their jogging trainer.[break][break]

With the greeting past them, Thea gestured to the ephemeral building that was made for that particular Escape Room event. The line was thankfully still short enough for them to get in soon.[break][break]

Fenelle notices the waves, and also- it's quite hard not to pick out a jogging Thea from the crowd of rather leisurely moving people in the mall. Der expression doesn't exactly smile, but there's a hint of it as dee waves back, signing, Hello.

The hurried handwriting is a bit hard to read, but dee has plenty of experiences with decoding even the most inintelligible writing, so dee just shakes der head, signaling It's no problem.

Dee uses der phone to communicate a bit further, but so far, there's not really much to do while they're waiting in line. Gladly, it doesn't take long until they'd be guided to their room - a bit pokémon-knowledge themed, with the plotline being something along the lines of becoming the best pokémon trainer or something. Dee isn't really interested in that plot in particular, so dee starts looking around while the video with the plotline (subtitled) runs.

There's several puzzles in the room, and especially one that asks for the typings of some "false friend" pokémon.

As they finally joined, the idea of a 'best pokémon trainer' was appealing. It wasn't Thea's ambition, even if it could be indirectly tied to her dreams, but it still pumped her up. The fact she had a nice company made it even more fun, and her eyes darted back and forth, wishing to spot the clues and hints for this 'false friend' pokémon.[break][break]

Thea's arms crossed as she pulled her brain wires to cackle against each other, trying to seek for an answer as her neurons overworked. She wrote something on her notebook, looking at Fen and showing dem the notebook. Not sure about false friend, but 'false' in itself. Maybe a Ditto? Zoroak?[break][break]

Fenelle is playing around with a little game to be solved to get the key when Thea has something new written in the notebook. Dee puts the wodden puzzle down, and instead comes over to look at the hint Thea's working on. For a moment, dee falls silent, thinking as they go through the library of pokémon in der mind, before starting to type.

Hmm, I think Ditto and Zoroark are special cases ... whatever typing Ditto currently has is exactly what you're expecting. For Zoroark, however, ... I know that some are rather confused by the typings of Swablu or Fletchling, since this changes from normal ... but there's also Sudowoodo, I guess.

It's wild to dem how anyone could mistake that, but there's people around - but it's already in the name that it's not a Grass type.

Thea carefully read through Fen's words, nodding a couple times. It was true, those pokémons already had a specific typing and they simply changed it as they transformed. It wasn't something naturally deceptive, but rather it was just an illusion or outright an ability... And then, the option of a Sudowoodo made Thea perk up. That was it![break][break]

Oh right, Sudowoodo! People keep thinking that pokémon is a Rock-type just because it is hard like one. But it is obviously a Grass-type. You are onto something.[break][break]

If that was the case, the answer was simple. She didn't know many other Pokémons that deceived people just by their natural look.[break][break]

That's because it's fossilised wood. It's literally Sudowoodo. Like Pseudo-wood.

Fenelle looks at Thea with an incredulous look - neither of them would budge on this topic, dee feels it in the air. And they would not be able to escape until they'd actually punch the right answer in (and dee knows it). The confinement of an escape room have never felt more real, now it's not fun and games anymore, but ...

Let's work on something else first.

There's plenty of puzzles left, and while Thea's distracted, dee would snipe in and put in the correct answer.

If that was the case, it would mean it is a Grass and Rock Pokémon, no? Thea shot back the incredulous look when returning her gaze to Fen. She couldn't believe that someone as smart as dem would fall for the trick of Sudowoodo being a Rock Pokémon.[break][break]

Thea didn't want to extend the clash of opinions, soon shifting her attention to the many other puzzles the room had, posing a serious challenge before them.[break][break]

As she tinkered around some puzzles, she didn't realize Fen going for the answer on the Sudowoodo's puzzle. And by pure chance, the puzzle unlocked the door for the next room at the same time Thea reached to the conclusion of another puzzle. "Oh!" She exclaimed to herself, and then looked around to spot Fen, then looking at the door for the next room with a gesture to let dem go first, if dee wanted.[break][break]
