Fenelle appreciates the second try, and manages to significantly improve with it, too. Having more familiarity with the beatmap helps to map out the movements in der mind, in addition to it being the second run of the game, meaning that dee is now more familiar with the mechanics of it all as well. It's still not enough to hit every beat, but it comes fairly close. The inner autism requires another repeat, before moving onto the song, but difficult, before moving onto the song, but more difficult.
Social etiquette however activates the brakes, and Fenelle nods as Shalin suggests another song to go with. Dee hasn't really paid much attention to the crowd, just focusing on the selection wheel as Shalin runs through. And actually doesn't go for CHALLENGE anymore, but EXPERT - which tells Fenelle all dee needs to know that dee can't figure out in dim-light lipreading.
Fenelle hovers for a moment over the song difficulties, looking at the small preview - doable if dee is really, really focused. But, dee is up for the not-labelled-by-DDR challenge and nods after picking the appropriate level for dem, getting into position and ready for the song to start. The song generally goes better for dem, the movements being way more fluid compared to the first attempt, however- Dee frowns, always tripping up at the changing speed paces. Being able to adapt, dee only misses a few notes because of them, but that sure is another thing dee would need to consider and hasn't expected.
But, that's also quite thrilling and interesting to see.
