He knows this challenge needed some fine-tuning, and more Pokémon ‘accomplices’ for it to be truly successful. All the while, he clung to Ravana’s back, hanging on for dear life as the snowstorm pummeled them both. It was… it was insane, actually. Taking mental notes, Alexei made up his mind to catch more Ice and Ground-types, as well as anything that could learn Rock Slide.[break][break]

He was still contemplating the rainy part of the challenge, since he had so many Water-types who could use Rain Dance and make a righteous mess of things.[break][break]

Thankfully, his Charizard wasn’t upset in the slightest as they continued to fly through the unpredictable winter weather, pretty sure that they were going in circles now. While they were so high up, it was also hard to see if they were still within the city limits or if they’d already flown into the wilderness beyond the borders of the city.[break][break]

When the weather started thinning out, he knew he was about to drift off-course, so he urged the Charizard to turn tail and fly back into the snowstorm. He very nearly missed the blast of hot flames coming his way had they not barrel-rolled in a descending somersault to avoid the move—unfortunately, it was the last move.[break][break]

As they came right side-up, a rather surprising sight was an upside-down Charizard, and he knew that the game was up.[break][break]

The jig was done.[break][break]

“Hah, and so it is,” he said with a grin on his face, pressing his right hand to his ear and calling for the weather to drop off.[break][break]

Slowly, gradually, the winter weather petered out as the few Ice-types he had on the ground were recalled—he didn’t want to see how much of a mess the clean-up was going to be, but with a few motions, he gestured for Stormy to follow him back down to the ground.[break][break]

Once they did reach the ground, he then gave his Charizard a pat on the back, before letting Ravana lumber off somewhere to rest her exhausted wings from flying through the snowstorm.[break][break]

“Here, catch,” he said, pulling something out from his inner jacket pocket.[break][break]

Should Stormy be quick enough to receive the object, it bore the shape of a bird taking flight—when tilted to the side. Upright it looked like a fluffy Jetstream.[break][break]

“Congrats for surviving my insane challenge,” he ended with a grin on his face.

Like a great sigh, the weather begins to dissipate until it's just.. nice. The chill disappears, the wind dies down, the snow goes from rain to mist as the sun comes back out. The ground below is a mess with downed trees, broken branches, debris and the like.[break][break]

But she was relieved. More than relieved, as she slumps against the back of her Charizard and takes a couple moments to just catch her breath and still her wildly beating heart. A game of tag in the middle of a horrible storm was not what she had expected, but was pleased to have survived. Not only that, but she was impressed with Alexei's abilities. The man truly was a master of the sky and flying Pokemon.[break][break]

Stormy blinks and comes to attention abruptly as Alexei reaches into his inner jacket pocket and beckons for her to catch. Something glints in the sky and Wadjet rumbles, tilting her head around to watch as Stormy catches it between her hands, clasping it and smiling.[break][break]

"It was definitely an insane challenge - but it was a good exercise. Now I know - I can survive any storm that comes my way."[break][break]

She winks at him before tucking the badge away, and Wadjet makes another rumble indicating she'd like to put her feet on the ground and rest her tired wings. The woman obliges, allowing the great black beast to land. Once she slides off, she gives her Pokemon a thorough check, observing all of the scratches and bruises the pair of them had received.[break][break][break][break]

"It'll be interesting to see how you fare against my challenge one day, Alexei. Thank you again for this opportunity, you're a phenomenal gym leader."
