It had been a while since Tori had worked with Kouji Matsubara. But she welcomed the reunion. She and Kouji actually managed to get along fairly well. Plus she knew he could hold his own and not slow her down, that was the most important part. Taking the binoculars that he extended to her she lazily glanced through them.[break][break]

"Mmm, who knows." she muttered. This island was listed as some sort of 'game' for the general public. The company that owned it, encouraged challengers to survive here for a week with nothing but their pokémon. It was only recently that they were even aware some sketchy shit was being done here, undercover.[break][break]

"Better not to get your hopes up, lest you get disappointed." she said with a small smirk as she handed the binoculars back to him. "That being said," her voice pitched as she stretched a bit, "...can't hurt to cause some....mischief of our own." At the mention of explosives, Victoria shot him a look.[break][break]

"And ruin a nice route for ourselves? Don't think so, little pup." she said with her hands placed on her hip. "You know how Rocket operates by now." she said with a clear grin tugging on her lips. "Hostile takeover or nothin'." she chuckled. "But emphasis on the takeover, we're always looking to make something ours."

Kouji couldn’t keep the smirk off his face, it would be a good opportunity to vent out a lot of his frustrations and annoyances…The collateral would have been worth it, but then again he looked out for any interesting points.

This route sucks ass to actually do, hopefully we don’t get stuck with it in the future.” He said as he cracked his neck and considered the game plan, they could use Sableye to cut through the shadows, whether shadow sneak or Phantom Force, but either way opening the way inside was the easy part.

”We’re going to be up to our neck in a fight, we’ll have to hit them with the big hits right from the very start. Tori was glad he saw it her way, after all, it would be a shame to let such easy prey go to waste. Besides, war was on the horizon, they needed all the resources they could get their hands on at the moment. Capturing this base would be the perfect prize to bring back home. She listened as violet hues looked out towards their goal in the distance.

[break][break] It was simple but effective, for the most part. Tori wasn't too considered at the thought of having a big fight on their hands. With one last stretch she grinned, "You know me, I don't mind a brawl." she said as she felt the excitement begin to bubble in her stomach.

[break][break] "Besides," she added as she tapped her utility belt with her nail. "I've gotten a lot stronger since the last time you saw me." It was true, she'd spent endless hours training through hell to prep for the warfront that was to grace Rocket's doorstep any moment now.

[break][break] The last thing she wanted was to make herself look like an idiot while fighting on the front lines. So she put her nose to the ground and got to work. Blood, sweat, and tears were shed but in the end there was growth. Only time would be able to tell her if it was enough.

[break][break] With a flash she tossed out one of her newest additions to her lineup, her Zeraora appearing beside her with crackling intensity. "Raiden and I will cut their power once we get close to set you up. Then once you get to work we'll start to hit them where it hurts." she said as she pointed to the chain scythes that were strapped to her hip.
