But see, Tsume wanted the Minior to come and get him. As it rolled towards him, he'd attempt to catch at it in his claws - (wincing at the damage dealt, slightly staggering) - so that he could, in some Foul Play, try and use its inertia against it to send the rock-type careening into a wall!

The Uproar would get another wince from Tsume - but it did not phase the ghost-type Kuro. Instead, as the Revavroom began revving up, the Zorua would disappear with Phantom Force - vanishing into another layer of reality to try and avoid the attack.

Makoto exhaled softly, as they observed the fighting. Kuro had its way of protecting itself, and Tsume was clever - but one was small and young, and the other showing those first signs of age. They felt good about their position so far, but anything could still happen...

Lulu Flint

"Now!"

Kuro's re-mergence from Phantom Force was flashy - the Zorua wreathed in ghostly energy as it reappeared, attempting to charge into the uproaring Revavroom. If it impacted, it would jump off of the steel-type to try and create distance before the proximity once more became an issue.

Tsume, meanwhile, was prepared to continue applying pressure to the Minior. (Even if his ears were ringing from the Revavroom's racket. He was too goddamn old for this.) Dark energy gathered in his claws, as he once more released at Night Daze - this time aimed for the rock-type in question.

Frankly, Makoto concurred with Tsume on the noise - they really should have gotten ear protectors of some form...

Lulu Flint

The spin-out proves to send an unprepared Kuro tumbling, as it doesn't even have the chance to kick off of the Revavroom - the little fox yelping in the process. Seeking to create a bit of room between itself and the steel-type, it lets loose another Burning Jealousy as it falls back to try and collect itself.

"Yeah..." Makoto couldn't help agreeing to Lulu's comment. Ear protectors were definitely going to be their next investment, it seemed like...

Tsume, meanwhile, weaves between the worst of the Ancient Power; though a couple of boulders still strike, and he is forced to brace himself against the blows - arms raised to protect himself. Old as he was, he was starting to tire a bit faster than Kuro was...

... But he nonetheless is prepared to press the offensive, coming in to employ some more Foul Play against the Minior while it couldn't see.

Lulu Flint

Makoto relaxes visibly, as the spar comes to an end. They let out a heavy exhale as tension they hadn't been wholly aware of leaked from their body - shoulders drooping a little. For all of their uncertainties for the battle, their foxes had performed well - and Lulu seemed to approve.

As she speaks, they put on a polite smile and nod. "I'm glad I met your expectations." Makoto responded. "A next time would, uhm... Probably be a good opportunity to show my other pokemon, too. My Zoroark and Zorua can protect themselves, but... I tend to focus more on training their illusory abilities."

No other pokemon could deceive and beguile quite like a Zoroark or Zorua could - and they knew this well.

Lulu Flint

Thinking back to the Trinity Trials, Makoto hoped that making things 'a little more interesting' didn't involve sending them to the moon or sic'ing a simulated legendary on them. But all the same, they'd nod in response to Lulu's words.

"No more questions; thank you for, uhm, your time." They spoke - as if Lulu hadn't been the one to approach themself first, rather than the other way around. Drawing the attention of such a high-ranking member hadn't been on their docket for today, but...

... Well, they supposed they'd be drawing a lot more attention, with Erebus at their side now.
