War was not a setting Razz was a stranger to, though there was a difference between then and now. Back then he was still a young teen full of doubt, which required him to always be partnered with his brother, Asriel Pryde, just to keep alive. Truthfully he had the skills thanks to the training of his parents and Theo but his doubt and morals in killing held him back as he couldn't harden himself like the others. [break][break]

But now? [break][break]

Razz has come to grow more confidence in his skills, and thanks to his training with the Rangers, noah faber, and even more recently Melody Miro he had what he needed to hold his own as the Rocket grunts tried to move forward. Heavy weather or not all it did was aid with his Stun Baton as he would strike the trainers to knock them out while Marshadow would taken down their pokemon. The dark spirit finally getting the chance to take its revenge on the Rockets where it's vengeance had taken form from. Razz had been war trained by Rocket and now he was using it against them to help stop their invasion. [break][break]

"Captain!"

He hears as one of his Rangers points to another with THEO BECKETT right above them ready to kill. "Leave him to me," he orders as he activates his SYGNA SUIT as Salem jumps onto his shoulder before Razz uses ALLY SWITCH to take place of the fallen Ranger. The captain dashes forward toward Theo while Salem jumps back to avoid the BITTER BLADE as he uses SHADOW BALL on Ceruledge. [break][break]

Razz closes the gap between himself and his former teacher as he activates the electricity within the baton before attacking the other's chest with it. Theo wanted him to toughen up all those years ago right? Well he was going to show him just how much he had.

with the last of his movement, he finds a pokeball on his belt, and with the appearance of his milotic, a safeguard forms around him along with the activation of his sygna suit.[break][break]

he almost gasps for air before he attempts to shove the young boy away.[break][break]

A grunt escapes him as he is shoved back but the captain is quick to turn off the electric baton between strikes, the pouring rain doing no good if he ends up shocking himself. He has trained for this moment and for once Razz had every intention of beating his teacher for the first time. This wasn't like before where Razz had tried so hard to knock the other down on the mat to be allowed into his classes again. To want to feel useful to the then Admin to prove that he was of worth to Rocket.[break][break]

No, this was now a need.[break][break]

Razz had once aided in taking down a region but this time he would be at it's side. "I won't let what happened to Kanto happen here!" he growls as one of his pokemon comes from from his belt Sage standing tall at the ranger's side as it seemed the Armored pokemon was ready for round two against the Theo, both determined to not lose here. There is a click of his tongue, a pause and then two clicks, just as Theo had taught him as Sage uses PIN MISSLE aimed at both Theo and his Milotic. Behind him Salem making sure to keep the fire type away from Sage as it would attempt to engulf the ghost with SPRINTIDE STORM. [break][break]

A fist tightens in rage as once again he is dismissed by the other. It shouldn't hurt him anymore as the other's opinion of him shouldn't matter anymore, yet it still gives a rise out of the normally composed Ranger. "Small battles can lead big victories, and as long as I take you down then I'll have played enough of a part in that," he counters back as the Nidoking comes at him. A surge of fear unable to crawl through him as the sight reminds him of the battle with his old man. Thankfully it doesn't cause the same kind of trigger the Pyroar seem to. [break][break]

Besides that Sage and Salem are there, the cat working it's protective magic as it calls upon a SPIKEY SHIELD right as the Nidoking comes close to try and have the spikes do their best work before Razz claps his hands together for a HELPING HAND for his pokemon to give them a boost of power. Once energized with the boost Sage launches itself at the Nidoking with a ROLLOUT to see if he couldn't knock them back enough for them to have their rematch so his trainer could have his own fight.

Seems like what he has to say falls on deaf ears as Theo doesn't even show acknowledgement that he even mentioned it. A distraction that was enough for the kick to hit true as it knocks the Ranger to the ground. Razz slightly sliding on the wet rocks from his momentum. [Break][break]

Though before Theo could even try to take advantage of his being knocked over Salem would attempt a PSYCHIC to knock the man back while Razz attempted to get back on his feet.

Leave it to Theo to somehow find everything he and his pokemon do predictable. Razz had tried to paralyze the man and he already has something to protect him, Razz brings out Sage? His Nidoking is at the ready, Salem tries to defend him from Theo taking advantage his teacher had already predicted it. There was a reason why the underboss had been tasked with training so many within Rocket, even with one eye Razz could see that. [break][break]

However Razz hadn't stopped learning, and if nothing else the Rangers had shown him how to properly adapt. [break][break]

Right as Theo is up close for the punch does the SPIKY SHIELD from his own sygna suit activate. Protecting him and hopefully the spikes would hurt the Underboss back as he would counter as he would try to jab his stun baton into the other's abdomen before he would activate the electricity. Leaving it on for about 2 seconds before turning it off, the Ranger not wanting to leave it on too long due to the heavy rain. After he'd attempt an upper cut at the other's chin with his free hand. [break][break]

All the while Salem seems stuck in allowing his trainer to take on his old teacher without him as the disarming voice hits him, breaking his DISGUISE before the cat follows through with PSYBEAM at the tender pokemon.

predictability comes from familiarity—it is not a slight to razz but a reminder that theo is the man responsible for the majority of their upbringing and training. the ranger may have fought differently but when push comes to shove, they will return to what they know.[break][break]

but there is no denying their growth.[break][break]

the raziel he knew would have succumbed to the pressure, faltering to even the smallest of hits. this razz is resilient and stubborn. this razz fights back as though their life depends on it; in many ways, it does.[break][break]

the sharp thorns of spiky shield pierce flesh, drawing blood, parrying aggression, and in doing so, the pain jerks the underboss to the side, snapping him awake as he avoids the the stun baton.[break][break]

Seems like even with his training he is struggling to keep up. Yet he at least feels he can read the other better than what ever ever used to as the leg comes to try and knock him down. He recognizes that the other is trying to get him down the same way as the other week. Pin him from being able to fight back and Razz refuses to allow it. [Break][break]

As his legs are swept from him Razz quickly reacts by landing on his hands and lifting his legs to counter the other with a kick to his chest and forcing himself back up. [Break][break]

He needs to keep pushing, if he lets up he loses and he can't afford a loss. He needs to keep his promise to ollie morales. He could hear his pokemon fighting for their lives as first clash between Sage and the Nidoking,
as Salem and the military exchange blows. His pokemon aren't backing down and neither would he. [Break][break]

So Razz continues his attack with the use of his Sygna Suit again as he launches a DARK PULSE as close as he could be to the other.
